Best pupusas in the valley!!! I’ve been going to this place for over 25 yrs! Parking sucks though!

Pleasantly surprised with this place. We popped in to try their pupusas and we weren’t disappointed. I will agree that the service was a little slow but I think that’s because they make everything fresh and made to order and they take their time with it. I’m just so used to the fast paced city life so I’m pretty impatient. HOWEVER, it was worth the wait, and the people were very nice, friendly, helpful and everything appeared very clean with a family touch. The pupusas were absolutely delicious, and I’ll definitely go in again for more.

I came here on a whim, craving a carne asada burrito, one night. I waited 15 minutes for two burritos to go. The food was pretty bland, I had asked for no rice in the burritos, but I think the waitress forgot to relay that to the cook, and there was very little meat in the burrito. Overall experience was unimpressive.

They have the best pupusas ever! They’re a bit on the greasy side, but I love them so much. The tamarindo is really good as well. Come on Tuesday for cheaper pupusas. They usually sell them for like a dollar on Tuesdays

Terrible service. Marisol was rude. Charged us almost $ 9 for three horchatas we did not drink, I told her we didn’t like them and she said she couldn’t do anything about that because she already wrote it on the check. The food was mediocre, lacked flavor we had to put salt on everything. Never going back again. The only recommendation I would make about this place is to not go.

This place is decently good. Only downside is that it takes forever for your food to be ready.

Great authentic Salvadorean food! Love this place and the service is always perfect. There’s a wait, everything is cooked to order and there’s usually a few people in there at all times. Parking is limited to 1 spot. Park on the street. Tuesdays and Thursdays they have $ 1 mixed pupusas.

Best pupusas !!! And anything from the menu is delicious… since I came from mi pulgarcito I couldn’t find any good Salvadoran place but Mi Carbonero is the best in The Valley… Buen provecho all!

Quaint place. Don’t judge it by it’s outward aesthetics. Their food is authentic and as close as you can get to El Salvador. Try their pupusas de queso con loroco and their ensalada; you won’t be disappointed! The service is friendly and authentic and their AC is banging(as others have noted before).

Tiny place with good food and low prices. Great service and friendly staff. Probably not well known as its in a short stretch of shops and easy to miss. Try the fried yucca, its amazing.

It’s a solid little Salvi place. There wasn’t any single item that was shockingly good but they did everything well. The pupusas, curtido and horchata were delicious, the service was friendly and the prices were low. The thing that really made them stand out was the air conditioner. This thing was more nuclear powered wind machine than ceiling mounted air conditioner and on a hot day that’s sometimes all you need. So if you go in on a hot summer day and the place seems packed with people just sitting… and lingering,… leaning a little bit, …not really looking at anything… now you know why. Enjoy. 2013 #115 /365
