Paul and Elizabeth’s is a great place to come for lunch. Great service and atmosphere even when they are busy. The food was delicious. Priced fairly and generous portions.

Went for lunch and the greens were inedible – gritty and bitter. Told waitress – who was very gracious about it and informed her manger. He then gave us a lot of attitude insisting they were«native New England greens» and(stupid us) should know that organic vegetables have grit. A simple taking the $ 4 off the bill and saying they would do better to wash the greens would have sufficed… Adding insult to injury we were offered coffee on the house by our waitress – we weren’t going to order coffee, but accepted – then got charged for it. It became very awkward for us, and we had to address the coffee charge. Once again, instead of simply correcting it, the manager berated our waitress for offering us coffee and made us feel like we had gotten her in trouble by addressing the charge. She was wonderful and understood good customer service. We were long term P&E customers – but with so much attitude(and grit), we won’t be back for a long, long time.

Excellent, creative, accommodating of allergies, lovely selections for vegans, carnivores, and everything in between. Best to call for a reservation as they can get quite busy most evenings — but still worth trying for last minute seating in case of slow night or cancelation. Share your appetizer or skip it because the desserts are quite excellent and portions are large. Loved the special strawberry-rhubarb pie — just perfect with a scoop of very vanilla ice cream. Chocolate mousse cake was equally loved at our table.(We like to share bites.) Some entrees come with green vegetable, some with a side salad, so ask if you might need to add a veggie. Can’t wait to return. Destination dining. Easy parking in lot next door — connected by pedestrian bridge(for cold or rainy day transit) — or usually lots of street parking which is free on Sundays.

When in the course of human history a vegan yearns for more than just bread and salad to satisfy her insatiable jawls, she is known to peruse Unilocal for a menu offering multiple plant-based options. My search led me to Paul and Elizabeths and I was BEYOND pleased! P&E offers delicious food, kind professional service, and a gorgeous atmosphere! I go to Smith and I brought my partner to P&E for our anniversary and I took my parents there both when they were visiting for parents’ weekend and when they came to NoHo to see me in a play. I had the marinated tofu a few times(a side) and was WOWED by the depth of flavor and distinct umami flavor! Even though school is out for the summer, I can’t wait until I return to NoHo next fall so I can hit up this, one of my favorite restaurants in the country!(I’d also recommend the delicious Hummus Salad – the bread that comes with it is 10⁄10 amazing).

I do not need to write much for giving this place a 5 star review. All was simple and simply good! We had lunch and for the price and quality is like going back in time to that special place you remember the most in your childhood. Two fish specials, blue fish and Parmesan crusted salmon were the highlight. Even the tea that comes with the meals was extraordinary succulent. We did not need dessert but the server said the magic word«sugarless»!!! So, we had the sugarless vegan chocolate cake with toasted almonds… We need more places like this in every town! Will need to go for dinner next time.

I ate here the other night after wanting to come for a while and I was was satisfied. It is not one of my favorite places in Northampton so I will go with a 3. It will hit the spot for a lot of folks — and especially the Noho crowd — and might be a 4 ranking for them. For me it was a little too earthy crunchy. It was also a little too loud. To make things a little worse for me I was seated next to a loud talker … but I digress. Paul and Elizabeth’s does offer a good menu and if you are a vegetarian or eating with one this is a really good choice. At Paul and Elizabeth’s they only serve seafood and vegetarian food. You will find no mammals or birds on the menu here! I am totally fine with that, and like that they do it. But it is worth pointing out for the uninitiated. Anyway this place is classic Northampton and located conveniently right in Thornes. My daughter, a vegan, and I both ordered the lentil soup, my daughter had some hummus and I have the filet of sole. All were good… but not great. The sole was in a very country style batter that was alright but different than anything I had in quite some time and seemed a little old fashioned. Prices were fair and service was good. The atmosphere was nice, but again the place was a little loud. Anyway, if you want a pescatarian meal or you are with a vegetarian this is a solid choice.

By far one of my favorite vegetarian restaurants. I strongly recommend the Fresh Atlantic Salmon w/Tamari, Lemon and Oil. I am addicted to the food here :)

Soul-Reviving Pit Stop. Yeah, I know that’s not a very prosaic title but it’s been a rough week. After five college visits in six days, none of us were in any condition to argue over TripAdvisor reviews AGAIN. And so we walked. And walked. And walked. Until we found a quaint multi-story shopping area. So we kept walking; stairs this time. And collapsed in front of Paul & Elizabeth’s. Serendipity rocks! With heel blisters as a great motivator. Lovely staff, clean and fresh ingredients and preparation and just a wonderful break to remember that some dining exists to nourish on more than a cellular level.

I ate here last night. The service was VERY fast and efficient. Although the waitress didn’t know anything about the wine list and was confused when I asked about the vintage of one of the bottles. Other than that, she was great. Tried a couple of the soups and found them to be really boring. I ordered the vegetable platter or vegetarian platter, whatever, off of the dinner specials menu. It was very good; flavorful and a big portion. I would definitely recommend it. And the rice croquettes were great… The platter comes with either two of those, or a side of brown rice. They have sriracha and Tabasco here.

The Risotto cakes are so amazing!!! This is a go to place for my boyfriend and I. Try their salmon dishes. I think their fish dishes and their brunch items are the best. Other dinner dishes I’ve tried have been kind of meah. The Cajun whatever seafood dish is good too.

P&E’s has been one of my family’s very favorite local restaurants for over three decades. It is a beautiful space with soaring ceilings and an abundance of natural light, located inside Thornes Marketplace. Clean, natural food with an emphasis on veggies and fish, but they also have plenty of noodle, tofu, tempeh and seitan dishes on the menu. Like the décor, the flavors here are elegant in their simplicity — my longtime favorite«fish lunch» is white fish kissed with tamari and lemon. I am also partial to the«quick lunch»…soup, salad, one of their ginormous wheat rolls, and tea. Every single soup I’ve had at P&E’s has been wonderful, including their infamous fish chowder, and all of their salad dressings are made in-house(try the sesame tahini or gorgonzola caesar!). My favorite dinner is the veggie/tofu platter with rice cakes. Heads up that they’ll let you swap out/interchange starches in their dishes according to your tastes, or even eliminate them altogether in favor of some extra veggies! I also love the meaty and delicious tempura shrimp, and the scallops are consistent perfection. Desserts are amazing, across the board.

This is a pretty good Pesco-Vegetarian, Vegan restaurant in Northampton! I loved the atmosphere, friendly service and the menu selection. I ordered the Chop Salad, my husband ordered Fish & Chips with a(HUGE) wheat roll. My lunch dish was good, fresh, but pretty simple and light, so I’d like to go back and try dinner sometime. I really have nothing to complain about with this little spot. It’s a nice, quiet relaxing place. The rolls weren’t warm and butter was served cold in wrapped packets. I know. I’m weird. Those are the only things I peeve over, but they aren’t deal breakers by any means. Overall, this restaurant could easily become one of my favorites in the Northampton area.

We decided to have dinner here after looking around Northampton. The place looked good and was not expensive. The service was good and there were a good amount of options. I got the tomato soup and my husband got the lentil soup. The tomato soup was good. It wasn’t a creamy soup, which was good after a week of clam chowder! We then splits couple of appetizers. We got the risotto balls with sweet potatoes and sweet peas and the pan fried ravioli. I wasn’t a fan of the risotto balls. It had a weird after taste for me. My husband enjoyed them though. I enjoyed the ravioli though. Nice flavor and simple. Overall it was a good experience but not super amazing. They do have a ton of vegetarian and vegan options, so if you are a vegetarian, this would definitely be a good spot.

I had the quick soup lunch and my husband had The fish and chips — The quick soup lunch is a true bargain large salad hot tea fish chowder and a huge whole wheat roll for $ 7.95 — The only negative is the fish chowder tastes like chicken pot pie just needs a little more finesse and fresh ground pepper would not be a bad addition. The fish in the fish and chips was very fresh in the french fries were excellent all in all very good value for your dollar!

Of all of the restaurants that I’ve been to in the Hampshire county, my experience at Paul & Elizabeth’s was simply the best. Our waitress was so splendid and well-informed, answering all of our questions well and making appropriate recommendations. The food couldn’t have been better. I got the Cajun Sampler, a wonderfully flavorful(though not particularly spicy, which wasn’t an issue for me) dish. My mother got the salmon special — it was amazing. Very reasonably priced. We’ll certainly be back again.

This place is quintessential Northampton — fine dining with a weird hippie vibe just below the surface. We got the hummus appetizer to start which was awesome — fresh veggies, delicious hummus, bread. I could eat that as my meal. I also got the parmesan encrusted cod with some fall veggies on the side. The fish was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were awesome too. Every meal comes with a complimentary salad and the dressing tasted super fresh and homemade. My husband got the seafood and rice dish… I tried a bite and it wasn’t as flavorful as expected. All in all, I thought this was a good experience and way more upscale than I expected. My husband who is a pretty big meat eater said it was fine but he would not choose to come back, so take from that what you will. On that note, protip: They only serve seafood and vegetarian/vegan food here, so if you’re into«real» meat, go elsewhere.

Having heard good things from others in our group, we chose Paul & Elizabeth’s on a Monday night. The menu is pretty extensive with lots of choice for vegan, vegetarian, and omnivores alike. I was drawn to the specials, choosing the local goat cheese ravioli and the cod with mushrooms. My ravioli was hearty with plenty of goat cheese flavor, fresh tomatoes, and sauteed onions. The fish was delicious — perfectly cooked to be light and flaky. We were a relatively large group, and it was quite busy, but in general the service was slow and somewhat forgetful. One of my dining companions ordered the roll, but had to remind the server after our mains showed up. We had to wait quite a while for our checks and then for them to be processed, so be prepared for a leisurely dinner with time to converse.

Came here for the first time yesterday with my boyfriend. We are from a town 20 minutes from here where there are not many of any vegan/vegetarian restaurants so when we stumbled upon this place we had to try it out.(We saw it when we had vegan ice cream next door). I loved the atmosphere and look of the place, for me that’s pretty important when going out. I love all the plants that are all over the place, the art on the wall, and furniture. The service was good, our waitress was attentive and polite. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I’m used to vegan restaurants being a bit on the pricey side with small-ish portions. We had the vegetable tempura with a delicious sesame-ginger sauce as an appetizer. I got the vegetable fried rice with organic tofu and it was a huge plate, I only finished half and took the rest home. The rice was really yummy and the vegetables tasted fresh. My favorite part was the tofu because the flavor was so good. My boyfriend got the pan fried noodles and vegetables with tofu which he also liked. Overall I was very pleased with this restaurant and I am definitely planning on going back.

The food here is very good, but the reason for my updated review is the service. It was absolutely horrendous during my last visit for lunch. The host was unfriendly and cold. It took at least 15 minutes before someone greeted me at my table and then once she took my order she never checked on me and I had to trouble the other waitress to help me get my check and more water. Not only was the waitress non existent she was clearly incapable of handling her tasks and seemed flustered. However, my fish was perfectly cooked and very delicious.
