Build-a-Bear Workshop

This place was packed when we were there and that was okay. No problem.
Until the girl stuffing my daughters bear was rudely told in the middle of stuffing that she needed to stop a go on her break.
The woman that took over kept telling my kids to back off and that they didn’t need to be that close to her. And as we were paying my youngest was playing with the line rope and she walked over a GRABBED him and said don’t play with that thanks. Rude.

Called to get some information and the worker was so rude. I called back a second time just to hear her name– Mya. Incredibly rude, absolutely NO phone etiquette or customer service skills. This is why she will probably work at build a bear for the rest of her life. Sorry but I have no tolerance for poor communication skills with retail workers.

It’s an amazing place to create your own fluffy friend! Will be back to make more! It’s so much fun to customize your own teddy bear so much selection and great customer service

I had my Daughter’s 10^th Birthday party here, along with 11 of her best friends. They all had a fantastic job, and the staff of Build a Bear were incredible.
The staff did a wonderful job of organizing all activities and controlling the children during the hour long celebration. The parents are encouraged to leave during the Birthday activity, so as not to overcrowd the store. Most of the parents stuck around and that was not a problem either.
During the entire event, the staff were very friendly, highly organized and made the event very fun for everyone. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff.
The Birthday parties last about 45 – 60 minutes. The host can determine how much each child can spend. Most of the stuffed animals cost $ 25 so that was our budget. If the children wanted additional clothing or items for the stuffed buddy, the parents could pay separately. Of course a different budget could be determined for the Birthday Princess and any siblings.
At the end of the party the staff will give you an itemized total of what you owed, and a very nice group photo.
My daughter and her friends loved every minute of the party. Thank you Build a Bear Staff.
The only negative is that Birthday cake, food or drinks are not permitted to be consumed in Build a Bear due to permit restrictions. They recommended Red Robbin in the mall, but I did not like the set up for where are group would be seating. Instead we opted for Chi Chi’s Pizza which was about 1 block South of the Mall. That restaurant turned out to be a great combination for the Birthday party. I would highly recommend this place if you also want to continue the party after you are done with Build a Bear.

Great place for birthday parties and party packages are reasonably priced. They don’t offer cake so I took my daughter and her friends down across the mall to Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and they had a birthday cake waiting for her. Staff is so nice and accomodating too. If you become a member (FREE) you get great discounts all year long.
The person who invented this place is a genius.

My mom and my daughter had to drop, Ginger, her bunny off to see if she could be fixed. Our dog had gotten a hold of her and chewed part of her face off. While there the staff also had to re-​stitch another doll of hers and re-​stuffed a different one.
They took them all and fixed them. Ginger had to be sent away to bear hospital and were told it would take 10 – 12 weeks, but they could fix her. The staff let my daughter kiss and hug her bear goodbye and told her they would take super special care of her. Last week when we were on vacation I got a message from the store that she was ready. It was done in 2 weeks! Then they called the next day to make sure we had the message.
We picked her up last weekend and my daughter was beyond thrilled. The staff so very kind and courteous to her and made her feel extra special. Thank you!

Whoever founded this place is a genius. My daughter loves BABW. She has a collection of animals. I try to convince her to buy more accessories, but she loves those dang stuffed animals. She has the My Little Ponies (all 3), Hello Kitty (s), a unicorn, a turkey, a regular cat, and I forgot what else. I accidently donated a wiener dog of hers and she was so upset. Of course, they don’t sell those in stores anymore. Maybe online? Who knows, I haven’t even checked. I’m hoping she’ll forget all about it.
A plus is that they have a rewards card called Stuff fur Stuff. They double your points during your birthday month and we’re constantly getting coupons. Of course with coupons, you’re enticed to pay them a visit and spend even more money. It’s a never ending cycle.
Another plus is that their employees are always cheerful and helpful.
