Excellent breakfast for a late night dinner sure did hit the spot. I’ve been missing diner food so much since moving south. Eggs were cooked perfect, toast perfectly buttered– not one complaint. Hubby had the French onion soup and devoured it, fresh, hot a nice amount of real mozzarella cheese atop. We don’t often come up to this area but if ever back we will stop back in. Oh and service was perfect!

I really liked this spot. Very friendly people. Food was good and place was clean and comfy. I think. It’s cash only but there is a ATM on site.

I hadn’t been to PRD in a few years(a shame, I know), so meeting my sister, bro-in-law and parents for breakfast on Sunday morning was such a treat. I’m astounded by how extensive their breakfast menu is, achieving the perfect balance of hearty standbys paired with creative specials. Whether you want a classic broccoli cheddar omelet(like I did!) or Tiramisu french toast, an Oreo waffle, or platter of eggs, black beans and sweet plantains, Post Road Diner truly delivers. My family loved it and the five of us ate heartily for $ 55. Service was quick, coffee mugs were kept hot and full, and we were in and out within 45 minutes. A lovely start to the day! It gets PACKED though — we were out by 8:30am(earlybirds that we occasionally are) and most of the tables were full. I guess the secret is out!

I think we were there at the wrong time … Stopped for a late dinner on a Saturday night on a trip to visit family in RI. We love to visit local dimers bkth for the menu choices and price. Post Road Dimer is definitely a local place. It was busy but not filled when we got there, but quickly filled with shoppers, a large group of friends and several tables of young people hanging out with friends. It was very loud in our area because of the crowd. After 15 minutes of waiting, I had to tell the manager that we had not been waited on. Several other tabled that came in after is already had drinks and shakes and food. The food we ordered was not specialized in any way, but came out looking like an afterthought. I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon that looked like it might have dropped off the plate before it got to me. My sons gyro lfilled the plate but didn’t have very much meat on it. Daughter’s french dip was plentiful, but not very appealing to look at. Husband’s eggplant parmesan grinder was the best made for the money, although there was almost too much cheese. Our server was caring and semi-attentive, but the pla E was overrun with late night dimers and, like I said, we were just lost in the mix. We spent over $ 40 for 4 to eat, which is steep in my experience. Probably won’t be back. Will try another dimer in the area next time.

Just your typical diner. There’s breakfast all day and great milkshakes(there are special holiday shakes right now!) I ordered the standard Eggs Benedict and they turned out to be pretty good. It’s not too expensive either. It’s just a good place to go when you’re in the mood to go to the diner.

This place is much better than your average diner. Went here for lunch after flying into Westchester and before some errands in Fairfield. It’s just a minute or two off the Lodge, so very easy to get to. I got the thanksgiving sandwich, which was turkey, stuffing, gravy, and cranberry sauce on a pita. I had midding expectations going in, and the sandwich surpassed them. The pita was nicely toasted, a huge pile of turkey, good stuffing, good gravy, and the cranberry sauce gave the whole thing a nice kick and the gravy gave it some moisture. What pleased me most was how light the sandwich was. The gravy wasn’t heavy and neither was the stuffing. I felt full after the meal but certainly not bloated. I’d have no problem getting that sandwich again. Everything else about the diner was good as well. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was good. They had us in and out in about half an hour as well. Four stars for the Post Road Diner all around.

This is a late late review but I just have to say this place has possibly the best chopped salad I’ve ever had! When I’m out this way I make a special trip to grab one or two to go.

I LOVETHISPLACE. One of my favorite Fairfield county diners. The food here is amazing. Especially breakfast. I always either order a grilled Swiss on rye, to the meatloaf, to the pot roast and the fried chicken. The food is delicious, I love this place.

The Post Road Diner: Cozy, Cute, and just like momma used to make! Now some of you may see this review and go «three stars and eh diner» well think again. If there was the option for a three and a half on Unilocal this eatery would surely have it. Now this restaurant has its ups and downs and a definite down is the size. I came here with a group of seven gentleman including myself and we were packed to the britches. There was no room for drinks, menu, or food. Keep in mind that you most likely won’t be coming with such a large crowd, so it won’t be so bad for you. Besides the claustrophobic space everything else was amazing. First off, it’s in Norwalk city of dreams. The scenery and surrounding atmosphere make this place what it is. Don’t even get me started on how good the food was… Finger licking good! Now i would say this is a very decent diner. It’s biggest upside is the food, but the size is an issue. If it was possible a 3.5÷10 La Felle

My boyfriend and I once went on a mission to find the best diner in the area and this one for sure takes the cake! Huge menu, great food, extremely convenient hours, and awesome service. We have been for breakfast, lunch and late-night and enjoyed each time. You may need to wait for a bit for a seat if you decide to go on Sat/Sun morning but it’s well worth the wait! Highly recommended to friends and family in the area! They certainly know what they’re doing over there!

Stopped here on a road trip and will definitely make this a regular stop in the future. Ordered dolmades with olives, pita and tzatziki dip. Nice presentation and delicious. Greek salad with grilled chicken was nicely seasoned and the feta cheese was good. The food coming out around me looked great too. Much better experience than I had expected from this little diner.

One of my favorite diners on the area. I love the atmosphere in there. The waiters are super sweet and the look of that place is so 50s. Now to the food the price is absolutely ok for the size of the portions. French fries are delicious so is the triple decker roast beef sandwich. Their milkshakes and floats are huge, yummy and filling! I like to share one since I wouldn’t be able to eat anything else afterwards. Highly recommend a visit!

Fantastic diner! I have been going here for years and it’s great. It’s packed on the weekends so make sure you get there early for brunch. Oh, and if you are into milkshakes, they make the absolute best. Their sweet potato fries are really good too.

This place is great. Open 24 hours, they can do GF pancakes that are pretty darn good. Staff is attentive and they can figure out what has gluten pretty readily. May not be ideal for cc issues but when you’re driving back in the middle of the night and need to stop somewhere this is the place.

Stopped in here for dinner on a Thursday night, based on the 4 star rating on Unilocal.Decent crowd and friendly, classic diner décor. I ordered the penne vodka and Shirley Temple. My dad ordered the corn beef and cabbage. I thought the prices were a bit pricey, for a diner. $ 15 for the pasta and $ 17 for the corn beef special. Each entrée included a salad. A few problems with our meal. We realized we didn’t receive a bread basket until the end of our meal, when we saw new customers receiving their bread for their table. The waiter forgot my dad ordered French dressing for his house salad and brought him the house dressing first, but replaced it quickly. My pasta was quite delicious, a nice large portion. However, my dad found his meal nearly inedible. His corn beef was sliced extremely thin and were a bit dry. His potatoes were flavorless and his carrots and cabbage were very oily. Overall, would not recommend.

The breakfast menu, available only on the weekends, is phenomenal. There are a mix of traditional American and Mexican options as well. The Juevos Rancheros is a top choice and highly recommended. However, if you’re not visiting during weekend breakfast hours, then their regular menu is equally delicious. My favorite is the disco fries. Not familiar? Allow me to explain. Their version is made up of waffle fries, brown gravy, and some white cheese. The waffle fries are what makes it. Pair it with a burger and you’re pretty golden. Ride that gravy train…

Stopped here with some friends after a long flight, and in dire need of breakfast and coffee. Old diner feel, fairly clean. I went with the sampler breakfast which had eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, potatoes, and pancakes. Decent food, nothing to brag about. Service was decent as well. My friends were also content with their food. Meh, nothing to be impressed with but it satisfied my coffee and breakfast fix.

Searching for a good meal after running a 5k for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, we refueled at the Post Road Diner. All meals were plentiful and delicious. Most meals were expensive(definitely 2 dollar signs) but if you search the menu there are some good deals such as the short stack deluxe and the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. There was a wait on this Sunday morning but the waiting area was clean and air conditioned and the wait was not too long. Carmella, our server, was efficient, pleasant, and had a winning smile. A terrific Unilocal find.
