I have to say, I love this place. I go there pretty regularly because it’s very convenient to my house and I love the food! They run daily specials in a separate menu, and I have never been disappointed if I order from it! The Clams Oreganata are awesome, and I’ve ordered the Pork Chop Murphy every time it makes an appearance — you’ve never had such a giant, juicy pork chop in your life! My newest favorite from the regular menu is the Blackened Shrimp Santa Fe salad… the shrimp is so flavorful and I love all of the crisp veggies. My boyfriend is a big fan of the Sizzling Steak platter… filet tips with hot peppers, onions and fried potatoes. Delicious! Oh, oh, and try the Spinach and Artichoke dip! It’s super tasty and is served with an assortment of veggies, crackers, chips and garlic bread… sure to please everyone! They are now offering take-out as well, and will even deliver to certain areas. They also have a decent beer selection and reasonably priced mixed drinks. One tip I would have to give when dining here would be this: sit at the bar. The bartenders are all very friendly and attentive, and the majority are really knowledgeable about the menu. The table service is what makes me give the place 4 stars instead of 5. The restaurant is a «pool house» — for anyone who may not be familiar with that term, it means all of the servers pool their tips together and split them at the end. The result of such a process? A total crap shoot on what kind of service you’ll get. Sometimes you get the server who knows that the better service everyone receives, the more money they’ll all make(duh). But sometimes you get the servers who know they’re making the same money regardless of how hard they work(and they’re plenty happy to hang by the service bar and play on their cell phones for the duration of their shifts) and your dining experience totally reflects that. If they could kick the servers’ butts into high gear and make sure you could get a consistent experience in the dining room, this place would knock it out of the park. Until then, though, their awesome bar staff will gladly make up the difference.

Food was pretty good. I had a burger and my friend had steak. Didn’t take too long to come and we were both satisfied. Service could be better though.

I’m giving them 3 stars because of the service! The food is really good, although I feel it was better at the old location. It doesn’t matter how busy or not they are the servers always seem to forget something.

Going with the concept this can’t be the same people who owned the place that used to be down the street and now operate in Fairfield as this was an unmitigated disaster. Arrived Sunday evening just past 7 when most of the the Sunday Football Crowd had departed. 6 of us seated half booth, half table right by the door which every time it opened it was freezing. OK move on. Seated 15 minutes before server comes for drink orders. 4 Sodas and 2 beers are ordered along with our food. Sodas come right out but beers to not show up until 20 minutes later 30 seconds ahead of the food. In the interim we never saw the waitress during that 20 minutes, there was no silverware on the table, no napkins nada. Food arrives and it’s pretty good I’ll give them that. Steak Salad was excellent Italian Steak sandwich with long hot peppers on garlic bread with mozzarella was good Bacon Cheese burger was OK Two philly steaks were good The one actually steak ordered sirloin well let’s just say it’s not. Steak house more of a bar type food and the steak was s dead give away. My onion rings didn’t arrive till well after the meal was over… Fries were cold on all platters. Spilled Ketchup on my shirt and asked for tiny bit of club soda to remove or dab was charged $ 2.95 for a full glass In short food was OK service was HORRIBLE and the entire place seemed to be run haphazardly but everyone involved. If this place makes the grade I’d be surprised looks to me like a short run for this place no way it survives operaiting the way it did last evening.

Great time at the Franklin Steakhouse last night. Thursday night. Sat at a high top with 3 friends. Celebrating a birthday. We ordered 3 apps. Chicken dumplings very good, a little spicy. Spinach dip yum! And my favorite was the nachos. The chili on the nacho was delicious! Sweet not spicy. For dinner I had blackened shrimp salad. It was good. Will order Italian steak salad next time … Friendly service … I will be back :)

First time going there, kind of on a whim with my picky mother and father who’s a «meat and potatoes» kind of guy. Dad had a steak which he enjoyed. Mom had the chicken philly wrap and loved it(which puts us all at ease at the table) lol I had the chicken francaise which was also great. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive without being annoying. Overall definitely going back !!

i dont know what to say. i grew up around this place and i dont know what it has become… My wife asked for one simple thing. honey mustard. the waitress not only forgot it once but twice! By the time she got it her food was cold. Karaōke on a Tuesday night is hardly what i call entertainment. and if you want a refill on your drink your better off going to the little corner store around the corner. you would be be back before the waitress.

We must have had the world’s grumpiest waitress and she really didn’t pay attention. My husband, my son and I went for lunch on Sunday. All three of us said no to the deluxe platters — no fries or onion rings. My son ordered the smaller of the two burgers. So what did we get? My platter came with the fries and onion rings, which I didn’t eat. The meat was overcooked on the sandwiches. My son’s burger was ok, nothing to write home about. My steak and mozzarella sandwich(the Hoobken) was dry. My husband’s burger was ok. Our son lives close by and we were visiting him. Within hours all three of us were sick with some gastric distress, so I don’t think I’ll be going back any time soon.

I wouldn’t really classify this place as a «steakhouse». The steak isn’t that good and it is more of a sports bar. All of the wraps I have had were great, but they are overpriced. I moved from NYC and was very excited to stop paying city prices so I was shocked when we got our bill. I’m glad I only had 2 beers. They really get you, even for just Miller Lite. I would recommend it if you have low expectations and want to spend too much money for just«ok» food.

This was my second time back and there were a lot of noticeable changes for the better. Starting off, the service was fantastic. The waitress I had(unfortunately I didn’t get her name), gladly took care of all my requests and was there checking up on my family whenever we needed. The steak was cooked quite well with just the right amount of seasoning. The only thing that I hope they did better was the cheesecake, it tasted like store bought cheesecake, nothing special. Other than that, I had a wonderful experience and will be coming back

We ordered the ribeye steaks with steak fries and we were amazed. The marinate they use is so delicious that no steak sauce was needed. Our steak was cooked to perfection. Yummmm… Warning:The décor and looks of it is outdated, but the food makes up for it. LoL.

Food is not worth the price. At all. Better off at an Applebee’s if that’s the food you’re looking to eat.

The Franklin Steakhouse has been doing nothing but improving. The food there is fantastic, no matter what you are ordering there. If you happen to be going to the Franklin Steakhouse for lunch on a Sunday, then you will have exceptional service. It’s great for all ages of people, and the TVs there play football for your entertainment, which for me is a plus. The people that work there always check to make sure that everything is alright at your table or booth. Everything there is very, very convenient for whoever may be eating there, and i highly recommend that everybody should give the Franklin Steakhouse a try. You will truly enjoy it, trust me on that.

I never went to the previous location so I really can’t compare to that place, but for what it is(more sports bar than steakhouse) Franklin Steakhouse is pretty good. The food is great, staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is decent. Just think«sports bar» more than steakhouse. As sports bars go, this is a good one.

This was our first time dining at their new location. I remembered how much I had loved one of the sandwiches at the previous location, so we decided to give it a shot for dinner. I ordered the California Chicken Club sandwich and my husband ordered the Calabrio Chicken sandwich. This is the same sandwich I had ordered previously, and it tasted just as good as I remembered. My husband’s sandwich was also very good(I tried a bite or two). We both made our orders into«platters» by adding a side salad with Gorgonzola vinaigrette dressing(me) and sweet potato fries(him). THe salad dressing was out of this world. Everything we ate was great. They also have a nice selection of draft beers. I went with old reliable and ordered a Yuengling, and the hubby had one of his favorites. When the bill came, I was shocked, my Yuengling was only $ 2! Awesome! This is a great venue to watch a sporting event in, as they have TV’s covering almost every inch of wall. There is a parking lot out back, but you have to pay a meter. Looking forward to dining here again!

FSH has completely fallen to sh*t. Poor, poor service. The food, which was once destined for greatness, has completely gone to crap. I could go on and on about this place(negatively) but I will keep my revised review short and simple. Goodbye FSH. *Based on what I have read from other reviews, most people agree with what I am saying.

Easily the worst steakhouse I have ever been in my life. I ordered the center cut filet on suggestion by the waitress and after a few bites am feeling physically ill to my stomach. But, hey, maybe it wasn’t the steak itself that was bad, could’ve been the entire contents of the bottle of A1 steak sauce that I had to dump on the steak to get rid of the freezer burn flavor. There was also the powder mixed«smashed» potatoes, the water logged«sautéed» spinach, and the driest ribs my wife complained about which the waitress said«you want some more BBQ sauce?» Last but not least, lets talk about the location itself. It’s basically a sports bar with dark wood panelling, they need to rename this place the Franklin Sport Bar(especially since the best thing on the menu we ordered was the frozen chicken nuggets and obviously out of a Kraft box macaroni and cheese that we ordered for our children.)
