Two hours and we were never served our entrees! Caesar salad and clams took about 45 min to get appetizers! They ran out of bread on a Saturday night?! Waitress did her best to apologize for the kitchen, the chef refused to come out! We’ve been here many times and food is always great, we’re locals. They had us pay for our apps, drinks were on the house! We left HUNGRY and went to the diner!

Okay atmosphere, although seating is kind of awkward so close to the bar. My steak was delicious, but the other person’s fish dinner wasn’t too flavorful. Waitress was really attentive. Kind of strange because its like a local bar inside but the dinners are a bit pricey. Would still go back though.

I ate here once, enjoyed the food, but the locals who work as servers are a little strange. While serving dinner to my female friend and I, the head waitress went into a harangue about how her 18 year old assistant waitress was still a virgin. I get the Jersey vibe, how everyone’s pure as the driven snow, but this was more than a little inappropriate to bring that up, especially to customers who only want a good meal. I’m afraid to eat there again for fear of being told how the virgin’s saga has continued — I can only guess how it’s going to end.

Had a good meal here. Everything was fresh. Seafood was succulent. Pork chop was huge. Fra Diablo was fra Diablo. Staff was friendly and attentive. In a time when good food is hard to find and expensive this place is a refreshing. Definitely recommend.

We decided to give this place a try being that it’s so close to home. I’ll start with the pros about my experience, which were the great service and huge portions. Our waitress went above and beyond for my family and was very patient with my kids who were not making her life easy. The cons about this place were that the décor lacks continuity and just doesn’t make sense. The small dining room is right next to the bar and while we were there the bar patrons were very loud. My wife ordered a corn chowder which tasted fine but had a very watery consistency. For my entrée I had the «signature dish» which is a pork chop platter that I found to be OK but nothing amazing. My wife had garlic shrimp dish over pasta and enjoyed it. I would sum it up by saying I would revisit this place again if I were looking for a diner alternative and to prepare I would try not to eat anything for a couple of days before just to make sure I had enough room to eat the food.

We were apartment hunting with my daughter and drove by and then stopped in randomly to Washington Park Tavern. All I have to say is wow. We all had a different dish and they all were great. I had the Pork Chops with hot peppers and they were the best I have every had. I was so busy with my meal I forgot what my wife and daughter had but they also raved over their meals. Friendly Jersey crew and lots of locals at the bar watching UCONN on their way to the championship.

really bad. Waited a long time to place our order. Waited again for drinks and again for food. When the food finally came the stuffed mushroom appetizer was bland. When the dinner came it was 8 sea scallops with no side dish. They smelled fishy
