Dr. Kyle has left the practice and is now doing research and no longer seeing patients. This is incredibly sad and a tremendous loss for all his patients, who will have a hard time finding anyone as thorough, smart, and compassionate as he is. Thank the messed up insurance system for the loss of the best Doctor our family has ever had. Dr. Kyle will be missed.

Dr. Kyle, probably the best general doctor I’ve ever had. The type that once you and he are both satisfied you have a solution to your problem, he will ask, «what else?» until he has a solution to anything and everything you can think of. But, Dr. Kyle, you will be missed. He built his practice up with other good doctors and specialists, but is leaving the medical profession. Word is, he doesn’t care to see what problems Obamacare will bring to a doctor’s office and is walking away before it even takes hold. I’ve heard of many good doctors doing this, and it is a real shame, but i cannot blame them either since insurance companies suck in general and now a government regulated industry will probably suck even more. The practice will still be here, but Dr. Kyle will not.

NICESTPEOPLEEVER here. All of them. Seriously. I’m not one of those hypocondriacal moms but my son has had VSD since he was born so when he has a fever over 103 I call the Ped. Unlike the folks at the kiddie-mill that is Town & Country Pediatrics, no one here EVER dismisses any of my concerns and even act genuinely concerned themselves… refreshing! And the pediatric exam room has a fire-engine theme — complete with the exam table that looks like a fire engine — so my son actually LIKES going to the doctor. But the best part? It’s a FAMILY practice. YAYYY! One less thing to shop for when we finally make it out to Oak Park. HUGE thanks to Amaliya L. for introducing me to Dr. Kyle!!!

After experiencing one of the worst pediatric services that we could ever imagine, Dr. Kyle was a breath of fresh air. We switched to Dr. Michael Kyle in Oak Park when my son was 5 months old. We wanted someone with a great bedside manner, who wasn’t reactionary or would wash his hands of us by referring us to specialists or admitting us to the emergency room at any given whim. Dr. Kyle tends to be conservative, trying natural methods before prescribing medications or antibiotics. He and the other 2 doctors at his practice are on call 24/7, and do not charge for the calls! They have also fit us in for emergency visits no matter how full their schedules. Our longest wait time has been 10 minutes. We’ve always felt that as patients, we really do matter here. Coincidently, both my husband and I now use him ourselves. Dr. Kyle has gone to bat for us when our insurance has decided to lower dosages on our prescriptions to save money. We like the fact that he and his staff our relatively close to our age, and also have young children so they are much more in touch with whatever crisis’s or issues we may be experiencing. Update: 5÷30÷08 We’ve been in to 3 times this month. His annual wellness check up and 2 times for allergies. Yesterday, my son broke out in the most hideous rash due to an allergic reaction to sage. I didn’t even recognize his cute little face! I called the clinic ASAP, and they fit us into their schedule immediately. This is the kind of Doctor that everyone should have and rely on!
