Isha Couture

OMG! I love love love this place! I have driven by a few times, and I’ve never stopped in until today. I was passing on my way home and told my man I was just going to ‘run in and look’ well 2 rompers and a pair of earrings later, I will be back to purchase one of the rompers I got today in the other color! She has very unique items, and accessories. Her pricing is reasonable for most things (she does have to make a profit). I like this little boutique and I will be back!

The earrings, the earrings, the earrings. Lots of them. Different styles, colors, long, short, bold, subtle… and cheap too. But not cheap looking or cheaply made. Isha is very friendly, sweet and attentive. And the bags that she puts your purchases in are so cute… i l Iove signatures, branding, its so important. Lately, I’ve been walking by bc im watching my budget and i cant afford an earring splurge, oh but when i can, ill be back.

Clothes and customer service make you feel like you’re shopping at an upscale boutique. The great thing is that the prices don’t! I will definitely return.

I got my makeup done by Isha for my college graduation pictures and it was beautiful! She did such a awesome job and my pictures came out that much better due to the makeup. I told her what way I wanted the make up and also told her the main color I wanted her to use and the end result was BETTER than I expected and it didn’t take her hella long! I got eyes done and lash application for 25 dollars. If you want full face, I believe its 55 dollars but not 100% sure on that.
She also sells plus size clothes so I can’t wear any of them lol but my mom who was with me saw a few cute outfits and told me when we left she wanted to go back soon. The accessories are cute as well so I’ll defiantly go there for that!
Overall, its definitely worth the money! I plan on going to her again if I have another special occasion.

I learned about Isha Couture when a good friend of mine moved right down the street from the store. We were both excited about checking it out, since, as ladies who have some extra junk in our trunks, our clothing selection is limited. From the window display, it appeared that the clothing in Isha Couture was young, funky, and stylish — not necessarily words that can be used to describe the clothing carried by larger plus size fashion stores (words like old, dowdy, and drab come to mind.)
My friend and I tried to stop in on a Sunday afternoon, and were disappointed to see that the store was closed on Sundays and Mondays. With an event to go to this weekend, I was motivated to drive back out to Isha Couture during their business hours to check it out. When I arrived, the store was open, however, the door was locked and I had to wait about 15 minutes for the owner to come back (with a clothing rack in tow) to let me in.
Once I was able to get in the store, I was very pleased with the service. The owner is very professional, seems to be proud of her store (which is impeccably clean) and though it is a small location (as most boutiques are) she had a nice selection of fun, sassy, plus sized clothing and accessories at fantastic prices. The shop gets new items in every week, and offers an email list for updates on new inventory. I spent less than $ 100 on a top, a dress, and a ton of accessories.
Overall, a great shopping experience, with the exception of the limited store hours (which, the owner mentioned, is something she is trying to address based on her customer’s feedback, starting with opening up one Sunday a month). I will definitely shop there again.

After seeing their delectable looking clothing in the window I decided to support the cause and go in. Lord am I happy I did! Although I did have to for about 10 minutes for the owner to return from lunch (she works alone and deserves to eat) I entered the store and immediately dug in.
Everything was not only incredibly well priced but it is also fashion forward; which is difficult to come across for us plus sized ladies. I purchased two adorable dresses I wasn’t able to find in any other store. A strapless denim dress with a zipper down the middle and a black and silver sequin sleeveless mini dress. Both of which have held up to my abuses.
My only complaints would be the lack of sign-​age in front of the store and the seemingly small number of 1x in the store (I know I know I’m small how dare I complain) but I will continue to support this enterprising Black-​owned (yay!) business and the owners impeccable style. Bravo Isha Couture!

I love Isha Couture and I will definitely be coming back. I was able to find affordable clothes in my size! Who knew it could happen in the bay area? All the clothes are amazingly cute/​fashion forward! No complaints here. If you are plus size and looking for a something cute for a BOMB diggity price lolol then BAM go to Isha Couture!

Isha Couture is just down the street from my house and I popped in one day to check it out without realizing they only carry plus sizes. The clothes were super cute and I’d definitely recommend it to my curvier friends who want something stylish and made for their body type. They also carry accessories and jewelry and these are also made for plus sized ladies — larger bracelets and belts, longer necklaces, etc.
My only criticism was that the woman working (who I’m assuming was the owner) said hello to me but then ignored me as I browsed. I guess she figured I was too small to buy anything but I still felt a little snubbed. As a small boutique that does not get much traffic she should chat up anyone that comes in and try to really promote the store. With that said I’d still recommend it for cute plus-​size clothes — I didn’t see anything smaller than a size 14.

I was so disappointed! The sign says wed-​sat from 11 – 7 and I get there at 11:40 on a friday and they are not open. I leave and come back around 12:30. still not open:(I called and there was no voicemail. So frustrating. Such cute clothes too from what I saw from the window.
