I have full insurance coverage but was intrigued by the great Unilocal reviews.
I’m so glad I took my 4 year old daughter and I there!
We walked in without appointment in Friday morning. Dr saw us quickly after filling out a simple form (took 2 mm vs the usual 20 anywhere else).
He diagnosed us in 20 mm while being quiet but pleasant and giving us many medicine insight including out of pocket cost! How often does the doctor care about how much the medicine he prescribes is going to cost YOU?!
Then we had to pay of course, and I was a little worried about the $ 300 cash I brought. Doctor asked for a tiny fraction of that making me feel I was getting an absolute deal.
Thank you so much Doctor for serving your community so well and faithfully, you simply took the financial worries out of my family getting sick.

I was referred to Dr. Konstantin from a mariner’s school for a USCG physical — and now see why: he and his staff are efficient and friendly. Though walk-​ins are common and available, I set an appointment and was seen as scheduled.
Dr. Konstantin himself is easy-​going, professional and genuine; not only checking off boxes, he casually asked questions and made recommendations ex. «Try to eat as naturally as possible; fruits, vegetables etc. Mix in some exercise and cardio.» etc.
Highly recommended.

That guy is amazing. His staff as friendly as can be and over all: pleasantly unburocratic.
My daughter and I came in for a last minute physical for school. No appointment, almost no waiting time. Dr. Konstantin evaluated her quickly yet thoroughly and in this short time we laughed a lot.

I have never been to a doctors office that was so quick and easy to get in and get medical treatment. and then to meet a Dr that cares about his patients? I would recommend this place to anyone especially if they do not have healthcare insurance.

Great doctor. I totally recommend. He’s patient, caring and affordable. He will also listen to you the patient. The wait was not too bad and appointments can be scheduled ahead of time. This doctor is truly great.

I needed a physical done within a few days, so I called in. They said to drop by any time before 4:30 and I would be seen. There were a few people in the waiting room but I only waited a few minutes. Dr. Konstantin gave me the evaluation, signed the appropriate papers, and I was out of there within an hour, the same day I called. Very pleasant experience. $ 39 for employment. FYI cash only.

I came here for a TB test, and was treated respectfully by very nice staff. The nurse was very efficient as well as professionally warm.
They accept walk-​ins, and I did not have to wait for long. Cash only, but only $ 20 total for the test and reading! I’m very pleased to have come across such a fine establishment.

Nursing school requirement is 2 step TB test. Didn’t want to schlep to city to doc’s office so looked around here in east bay. Minute Clinic at CVS sounded promising but they don’t take insurance and each visit was $ 38. Requires 3 – 4 visits. Approximately $ 120 – 150! Even if it was $ 80 to get shot twice… still steep.
Went to Dr. Konstantin office and was seen immediately. The medical assistant took good care of me and explained their process for 2 Step TB test. Very friendly. Total cost: $ 30.

I just called Dr. Konstantin’s office to schedule a quick office visit because I have a bad cough and need some prescription cough syrup. The receptionist very quickly (so quick that it was odd) told me that Dr. Konstantin does not prescribe any cough syrup with codeine. I was very surprised as prescription Robitusin A-​C is STANDARD protocol for coughs, not to mention very effective. Why would a doctor adopt a blanket refusal to prescribe a very common and safe medicine? I see he did this with another reviewer regarding another prescription medicine. It’s almost as if he assumes patients are drug-​seeking. Think twice before calling for an appointment because if what you need is not on his list of approved medications, you’ll be out of luck.
As a quick followup, I was able to make an appointment with another urgent care facility in Walnut Creek where, upon examination from a doctor, I received the appropriate prescription without any trouble whatsoever. They could clearly tell I was suffering from a bad cough and was not drug-​seeking. I am now feeling better but the whole process was ridiculous. I had to drive 15 miles just to obtain an appropriate prescription. My question to Dr. Konstantin is, why do you refuse, as a matter of policy, to prescribe certain medications?

John is a true medical pro. He has been doing the sports physicals for my kids for years now. In and out quickly (but thoroughly) and inexpensively.

Make sure Dr. Konstantin does not discriminate against any medical conditions you may have before being wooed by his glowing Unilocal reviews.
I recently moved to the East Bay from the South Bay and needing a new family practitioner I contacted Dr. Konstantin’s office, based on his very favorable Unilocal reviews.
I have a diagnosis of A.D.D. by my old doctor, given when I went to him some eight years ago (in my mid fifties) concerned about small memory lapses. At the time of diagnosis I tried a variety of non-​amphetamine based treatments which either were not efficacious or had intolerable side-​effects (or both). Being in a very relaxed work environment at the time where my A.D.D. was hardly detrimental to my performance and not wanting to get onto amphetamine based treatment, (I was not looking for a pharmaceutical ‘buzz’) I chose to simply carry on without medication.
A year ago I moved into a job with a very intense «get stuff done» culture and my A.D.D. prevented me from performing at the required level. So I finally went back to my doctor and asked if I could try the amphetamine salts treatment I had avoided for eight years. He prescribed a very low dose, time-​release Adderall. I don’t use it at weekends, or on vacation: only for workdays. I have been taking it for about six months and my work performance has improved by orders of magnitude.
When I mentioned my one repeat prescription requirement to Dr Konstantin’s receptionist, as I tried to make my first appointment, I was cut off with a curt «Dr Konstantin does not prescribe Adderall, so there is no point in coming to see him. You should get a different family practitioner!»
I myself firmly believe that amphetamine salts like Adderall and Ritalin are overprescribed for kids today as a «quick fix» for normal kid [mis-]behavior that should be addressed by better parenting, but there was no discussion about my particular needs, just a flat refusal to prescribe a treatment that has helped me hold down, and grow, in a very high pressure job.
A shame that such a highly recommended doctor turns out to be one that allows personal bias to shade his medical decisions.

My wife and I moved down to Oakland a year ago. Neither of us has done the legwork to find a primary care physician that is in network with our insurance. I suddenly realized that my prescription for asthma medication had run out. I could have gone to an urgent care place, but probably would have walked away with a $ 400 bill that our insurance would have made us pay $ 200. It would have come out of our HRA/​PSA, but I just didn’t think that was a good use of money for such a simple request.
I walked into Dr. Konstantin’s office without an appointment, waited maybe 20 minutes, saw the Doctor and was in and out in less than 30 minutes from the time I opened the door into their waiting room. I am thinking this will be my go to solution if my wife and I have colds that won’t go away or some other urgent care scenario where we can’t wait to see a doctor. I had to pay $ 40 bucks out of pocket cash, but it was well worth the convenience.

Quick, cheap, affordable! Walk in appointments available, which is great. We send all our contractors here when they need to get their TB test as part of the on boarding process. We’ve sent close to a dozen people and they’ve all been happy so far.

I needed to get a TB shot for my new job, so I looked on Unilocal and found this place. You can easily miss it driving by, it looks like a house, but there’s a sign that indicates it’s a clinic.
I went around 10:30am. There were few people in the waiting room, but this nice nurse came in and said I was next the minute I sat down. I felt like she could read my mind it something. She had guessed I needed a TB shot lol.
So she sat me down in this sterile room and had me filling out paperwork. When I was done, she quickly prepped my arm and grabbed the syringe. I have a phobia of needles and shots so in my mind I was preparing for the intense pain and quietly said a prayer as my braced myself.
But you know what? I didn’t feel a damn thing! I started laughing and the lady looked at me with interest as I told her my fear about needles and how I expected it to hurt. She just laughed and I kept thanking her for making my experience quick and painless.
Make sure to have cash! It only cost me $ 20 which made me smile more. I highly recommend going here if you need any shots (be sure to check and see what they offer). Reasonably priced and great and quick service!

Went in for a TB and Physical to fulfill a job requirement and BOY was it quick and easy.
TB test ONLY: $ 20
Physical ONLY: $ 30
BOTH TB and Physical: $ 40.
He honors appointments first but drop-​ins are always welcome. I dropped-​in around 10:30am and found that there were 3 patients ahead of me. I ended up getting out of the clinic within 30 mins which is crazy fast.
When I got my physical done, it took like 5 minutes and he was thorough and friendly. He did not make it seem like he was superior or anything and the conversation was open and relaxed. I found out he went to UC DAVIS too (in the 70s… lol)!
Parking: Pretty much just street parking (usually empty). There is one GREEN street parking spot right in front of the office (for quick visits/​TB test readings).
FYI: CASH ONLY!

This doc is great. In and out in less than 10 minutes WITH NO APPOINTMENT! And guess what?! My pockets were pretty close to what they came in looking like! Got a physical and tb test for $ 40! I mean really?! Kaiser was charging me $ 200 for the physical and $ 75 for the TB (no coverage costs) he was nice and professional, clean and cozy office. And his mom was the receptionist the day I came in! I thought that was pretty awesome lo!

I came here because I don’t have the greatest insurance coverage. I had baker’s cyst which hurt a lot to the point where I could not walk. Other doctors were asking for $ 200 just for consultation and then $ 175 for the cortisone shot.
Dr Konstantin gave me the shot for $ 10 and his fee was only $ 20. He is so sweet and absolutely amazing. He doesn’t over charge as much as other doctors and also he doesn’t try to gain a profit from shots and etc.

I needed a TB test to work with kids and saw that he offered them pretty cheaply then found out that physicals were only a bit more, so I got one of them as well.
Dr. Konstantin took time with me, was relaxed, and not hurried while speaking with me, which is what I would expect from a lower priced service. I have recommended him to friends. :)
