Awesome little ice cream specialty shop at Deep Creek Lake. The portions were easily shareable and the ice cream so tasty! They also had lots of flavors, including pumpkin pie, cake batter, blueberry, along with all the norms plus much more. There is also seating in the back(which we missed the first time) which looked very nice.

Yummy ice cream but crowded with long lines in the summer and holiday weekends. Has a boat dock but steps up to the Creamery are VERY steep and dark.

What fun to be able to pull your boat up and stop in for some summer ice cream!!! In Baltimore, some soft serve with toppings runs you about $ 7-$ 8. Here, 7 people got ice cream for $ 25! Not too bad! The ice cream it’s self was a little lacking in flavor, but either way, the experience of going on the boat to get ice cream was so awesome we went 2 times in 3 days. One weirdish thing was after they scooped your ice cream, they asked you, «is this a good size?»

This place is amazing! Don’t fill up on dinner if you plan to hit up the Creamery! They have tons of flavor options and the sundaes are amazing! You won’t go home hungry! Great place, great staff, great view of the lake. Definitely go here!

They make their own ice cream. Use to have better flavors– not so much this time that I went. but still I would recommend going here if you are in deep creek

Really yummy, friendly staff, and great banana splits. I was impressed with the variety, considering that it was in a more rural part of Maryland

We usually make a few trips to DCL in the summer and the Lakeside Creamery is a daily induldence during our visits. The ice cream is excellent. They have a pretty good selection and I can’t say I’ve ever had anything I didn’t want to rave about. They sell their crack-addictive ice cream by the pound, which is unusual where I come from. At first, that threw me off, but it’s really a great system. Very fair as you end up getting exactly what you’re paying for. The staff is friendly and appear to be mostly high school and college students. They work hard but sometimes they’re out matched by the shear mobs of customers. If you see a line, don’t be intimidated, it moves pretty quickly. If you have a few friends, they have a monster sundae that has something to the order of 12 scoops of ice cream and is loaded with topings. They serve it in a frisbee, which is yours to keep. I’ve seen a few of these made and it’s a site to behold! Perhaps my favorite thing to do in DCL in the summer is to get an ice cream and sit out behind the store, facing the lake. You can watch all the boaters come in to dock at the creamery and some are more skilled than others. On a busy Saturday, it’s pretty fun to watch the chaos as inexperienced boaters try to execute a flawless approach to the floating dock… sometimes they stick the landing, and sometimes they end up sideways! If you’re in the DCL area, you really need to do yourself a favor… visit the Lakeside Creamery!

Lakeside Creamery is a must for DCL. You should expect a crazy line. Once you have that expectation, you are in for a great experience. Friendly staff greet groups and serve amazing homemade ice cream with a smile. Workers a plenty, you’ll never wait long. Amazing ice cream. Get there!

There’s always a big line out the door here, no matter what time of year you go! But the service is super fast, and don’t let that line deter you — you’ll regret not coming by here! First, it’s ALL homemade. You can’t really go wrong with any flavor here but I’ve had some pretty amazing ones like cinnamon graham cracker swirl(my all-time favorite, which I haven’t been able to find ANYWHERE else and they don’t have it any more!), blueberry muffin, chocolate peanut butter fudge, coconut, maple walnut, cake batter as well as your classic flavors. It’s also SO cheap! You can get pints/quarts to go as well. So if you’re too stuffed from all the delicious pizza at Brenda’s, you can always take lakeside creamery home and eat it later once your food baby has gone down! There’s also a stand at Swallow Falls park, if you need your fix RIGHT after you hike. Genius.

Best ice cream ever! You can actually taste the flavors. I was most impressed with the fact that it wasn’t tons of sugar like most ice cream places. I didn’t get the normal dairy gut rot! Strongly recommend this place as it’s one of the only redeeming qualities in the whole damn county!

It was cold… but who cares. It’s ice cream! So we went and did some hiking at the State Park nearby and Lakeside Creamery had a stand there. And we thought… that looks yummy. Then one of us realized that this place was in town and had a view of the lake… and they had more flavors than the place at the trails did. SOLD! I opted for the Watermelon sherbert & Creamsicle Ice Cream. It was fabulous. We were here on Mother’s Day and if you were a Mom you got free ice cream. My friend that was with was a Mom-To Be and she was able to get a freebie too. :) Ice cream, you can’t go wrong :)

Fantastic ice cream, every flavor we’ve tried was delicious! We especially like that it’s so kid friendly with lots of room to enjoy a messy cone outside while looking at the lake. Great staff and service plus I like that they make the ice cream right on location(they told me all local ingredients too). A highlight whenever we visit.

This ice cream is de-li-cious! Right on the main highway, they have tubs to go and lots of flavors. I recommend the chocolate covered strawberry.

If you can get to either Creamery location before they close in October, be sure and try the peach ice cream. It is phenomenal. They use fresh local peaches and they are special this year. Get a cone, but also ask for a quart or two to take home. Bring a cooler if you come by boat to the main location. The strawberry is also amazing, but that’s old news. Unlike the super premium ice cream vendors in DC or Baltimore, you won’t get sticker shock from this place.

I remember coming here as a kid and LOVING that we could drive our boat here and dock outside to get ice cream, of all things. I also remember LOVING the deliciously creamy ice cream. I am a sucker for all ice cream, but I really love Lakeside Creamery’s. My only request of my boyf on our trip to DCL last week was that he take me here. He came through(per usual) and bought me a yummy cookies and cream cone. I also love that they sell the ice cream by weight so you can have as little(or in my case, as much) as you want. I got a couple huge scoops and it only cost $ 3(it would have been $ 10 at Haagen Dazs!) Just look for the adorable black and white cow outside and hop in for a delectable lactose feast. PS Adam M., I have read that there are no natural lakes in MD, too.
