I can only speak for their breakfast buffet. It’s a family tradition for us — force the kids to leave their beds early and go to Hall’s for their yummy breakfast buffet. It’s not like the buffet is to die for, but it definitely beats most breakfast buffets around. The service is great, the food is fresh. The price tag is definitely on the higher end, but welcome to vacation!

Came for the all you can eat breakfast. It’s pretty expensive for what you get. $ 15 a person, not including drinks for luke warm food. They don’t even have an omelet maker or fresh waffles, everything is sitting in a buffet table. Our waitress also pretty much ignored me and only spoke to my fiancé. She probably was trying to use her accent to get a better tip but the joke was on her because I paid. Skip it, breakfast is probably better and fresher at 711 one block away.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I didn’t even get to eat here which is probably a good thing because it looks so old and unclean. We sat in the waiting area for a solid 10 minutes and even though wait staff saw us sitting there, we got no greeting or acknowledgement at all. Finally I asked if they were open and the waiter looked scared and said«I’ll be right back». A female waitress finally came out and asked what we wanted and then said they aren’t seating anymore tables. Really? Why they didn’t have the decency to tell us when we first walked in is beyond me. Won’t ever come here again, and neither should you.

There are so many buffets in Ocean City, that the best. .. and not so good.. . ones really stand out. Hall’s turned out to be one of the not so good buffets. For the price(competitive, about $ 30), the selection was relatively small, compared with some of the others, charging the same amount. Where to begin? The carving station had potential, but it was unstaffed for much of our meal, the carver pre-slicing meat and leaving it to dry(and for the fat on the prime rib to congeal). The snow crab legs were not of prime quality, and most of the sections seemed to have dried out under the lights. It might have been better if there had been a lid, to keep the moisture in, or if the crab had not been overcooked. Sad, because snow crab legs are a primary reason for many seafood lovers to go to a buffet. There were, in my opinion, a greater proportion of «gloppy» offerings. These oversauced, overcheesed items are great for the restaurant, because they stay warm and soft on the steam table, without a need for frequent replenishing. Not my preference. Service was mediocre at best. At all the other buffets we went to, bowls for shells and trimmings were frequently removed and replaced with empty ones. At Hall’s(at least the night we were there), the bowls were filled to nearly overflowing, before any attempt was made to replace them. The dessert offerings were few, and there were none of any interest. The usual fare: brownies, apple pie, etc. The décor was rather dark and dreary, not the light, cheerful ambiance we would have preferred.

This buffet wasn’t bad. It was pretty good. It just the basics… French toast, bacon, eggs, potatoes. Our waitress was very polite, but very slow. We didn’t get our drinks until we flagged down our waitress and said that we haven’t ordered our drinks yet. Then, it took about 15 minutes after we were done to be asked if we were ready for our check. I would go again.

Went here for breakfast this morning. Worth the money when you have a ½ price coupon. Would not recommend going for full price. Good selection, decent items, and fresh fruit.

Food was good service was OK. Price went up from when we called till we drove down street for dinner, also they add in the tip which they didn’t deserve it’s a buffet! All they did was refill our drinks and take our plates. Expected much more for price we could of had steak and lobsters.

Went with a party of 10 for the buffet breakfast on a Friday morning… The food is edible but seems to be from food service bags — nothing seems fresh or made with any care(except the fresh fruit which was good). There is no omelette station or fried eggs and the scrambled eggs were not great. Highlight was the cinnamon rolls, iced fritters, and doughnuts. If you want quantity and want it cheap this place is OK… I would recommend going somewhere else.

This is our fav seafood buffet in OC! Been going there for 15 years and keep coming back year after year. The wait staff are friendly and attentive, and are on top of removing plates and refilling drinks. The crab legs are constantly replenished, so they are always hot and fresh. Never had a bad meal there!

We went to Hall’s for the breakfast buffet mostly because we had a coupon for ½ off. So breakfast cost about $ 7.00 per person, plus Drinks which were overpriced. The OJ was good & fresh though. The buffet was pretty grim looking. The Eggs Benedict were OK. The fruit was really fresh and good, although it didn’t look it. The Chipped Beef & Biscuits and Gravy were disgusting. Scrambled Eggs were powdery, Sausage were tough. Overall not a good experience. If not for the Fruit & the Excellent service, it would be a 1 star.

I disagree with Rob B the eggs Benedict are very good. We usually go to English’s for breakfast buffet but we decided to try Halls and it was much better. The cost is a bit more but the quality and selection was much better, they have everything you want for breakfast even 3 different types of scrambled eggs. Lots of fresh fruit and many verities of pastries. Just stay away from the Scrapple that’s a no good. Keep the eggs Benedict conning and we will be back.

Lesson: use Unilocal BEFORE you eat. Driving down the coastal highway, none of the decaying signs enticed my friend and I as much as «Eggs Benedict» below the Hall’s name. That sounded good to me, until we were seated and couldn’t order from the menu. Fine, we checked out the buffet and it kept going downhill from there. Nothing was good. I though at least I’d get some coffee, but no, it was thin enough to be tea… and $ 3 each! I asked for an orange juice, which was sugary and clearly from one of those bags of syrup mixed with water(anyone with any service experience knows what I’m talking about) and I couldn’t even drink that… another $ 4! The kid waiting our table was nice, but the whole experience was so bad I have to say, never come here.

My husband, 1 ½ year old, and I went to Hall’s for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The buffet was free for my son and roughly $ 12 for each of us(hubs and I). I was a bit shocked by the coffee price($ 3 each), BUT in their defense, they brought us each a big carafe of coffee and even brought us big to-go cups when we left to take the remainder of the coffee. And actually, for a small diner, the coffee was actually pretty good. As for the food, they had a pretty large selection which was nice. The food itself, however, was mediocre at best. Their bragging item on the buffet was the eggs benedict and it was okay. They had a large variety of desserts and fruit which was nice. Three different kinds of scrambled eggs(with different things scrambled in), as well as pancakes, grits, oatmeal, french toast, cereal, bagels, eggs benedict, and several other items. Overall it was decent and we went a bit early in the morning so it felt like many of the items had been sitting for awhile, but that was expected because we were only one table of MAYBE ten tables of people altogether. Altogether we would probably go again simply because of the variety, my son was free, and when we were done eating, they brought him over a little pirates hat which was cute.

Halls is the worst place to eat in ocean city. I am surprised no one has ever gotten sick here. Since it was getting late and it was only our first day in ocean city we did not know where to eat. It was the only thing that was not crowded and now I now why. We did not get the buffet because the food looked like it was laying there for hours. My daughter got the kids fried shrimp. It was disgusting. It basically was all batter and the shrimp were so tiny that they even fried them with the tails still on them! The mashed potatoes were awful. They tasted like the instant potatoes. Me and my husband got the grilled chicken. It was very dried but it was decent. Luckily they gave two big pieces since my daughter could not eat hers. This experience was defiantly not worth the $ 60 bill! We left hungry and completely dissatisfied. I DONOTRECOMMENDHALLSFORDINNER!!!

My boyfriend and I went here on our last morning in O.C. to prepare for the long drive home, and decided that a breakfast buffet would be good because we wouldn’t have to stop for lunch on the way back. Hall’s was the first place that came up on Unilocal, and though it didn’t have high ratings, we thought that perhaps that was just an anomaly. Sadly, it wasn’t. Breakfast buffet was 11 dollars a person, and we thought that was pretty reasonable, so we decided to try it out. The fresh fruit(especially the melon and pineapple) was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, that’s more or less where the good part ends. Breakfast pastries were stale, flat and had no flavor. The bagels were okay, but it’s hard to screw up a bagel. The eggs Benedict were just plain awful — one would have runny yolks, the next would be as hard as a rock — and the sauce was tasteless and bland. The creamed chipped beef was just«okay» — again, not much flavor, but it did help to mask the rubber texture of the eggs Benedict. My boyfriend’s pancakes were very dry and he was unable to finish them, even with the help of syrup — this is so rare as to be unbelievable, as far as he’s concerned. The potatoes were also bland and completely tasteless — as a matter of fact, nearly everything just had zero flavor. Coffee was an abomination, easily the worst brew we’ve EVER had. My boyfriend nearly spit it out onto the table, it was THAT awful. I’m sensing a theme here. «Awful», «tasteless», «no flavor», «bland». And that pretty much describes Hall’s breakfast buffet. I’m only awarding the two stars for service — our server was very nice, as was the hostess. I feel really bad for them, because they deserve to be working in a better establishment than this. Do yourself a favor and head elsewhere for breakfast. This was easily THE worst meal we had in Ocean City, definitely an embarrassment.

I can’t believe people are touting the«amazing breakfast buffet». Nearly everything at the breakfast buffet looks like it came out of a box from the freezer. The sausage is clearly Jimmy Dean’s from the freezer. The pancakes are the tiny ones you get from Aunt Jemima in the frozen section… And the french toast sticks, I’m pretty sure, are Murray’s. When I was a kid and a teenager, this place served ACTUAL food in the breakfast buffet, but now it’s all warmed up freezer crap.

A second try of all-you-can eat American sin of gluttony and greediness from last week. Feed one person and feed the world is the motto in the world of buffets in American. Where else can you have all the conspicuous consumption of cheap, bountiful, unhealthy food. Hall’s is one of them that provides that. Actually, you’ll be surprised that they do have some Chinese food along with the usual American food and seafood. Hall’s is the typical buffet bar. When in OC, there are plenty of all you can eat buffets. Know what do you really want to eat again and again and price it because it is definitely expensive. Don’t think with your stomach, but use your brain. Do the math if it is worth it. If you pay more, you probably would be obligated to eat more? Know yourself and your partner, your family… Feast to you!

What a sad buffet. It could barely have the honor of being called a seafood buffet. The crabs were not fresh at all, very mushy and unappetizing, crab legs were better. Super small buffet for the amount of seating space available and for $ 30+ per person, I expected a lot more. Most of the food is like what you get out of a tv dinner or the public school lunch line. Service was actually a winning point — good job!(on something) Food should never bring about sadness… but it did… it did.
