Not bad, I always get the Santa Fe Tostada, if that’s not available then the chipotle burrito. It’s not the greatest, but when you need something fast and not Taco Bell, this is a much better choice.

I love this place I always come here for the different varieties of bowls they offer for $ 5& the delicious street tacos as well! I’m always on the go so I mainly use the drive thru and I never wait for long. The salsas are free and offered at the window by the cashier. Everyone is super friendly & I always enjoy my visits.

Great food, lots of options, and very friendly employees. Everything was clean and the food was fresh. I’ll be returning here for sure!

I hadn’t been to an El Pollo Loco in YEARS, but it’s where my friend wanted to go. SOOO glad she suggested it. I had the Avocado Chicken salad and it was delicious and so refreshing. It comes with a side of REAL avocado dressing that’s excellent! There is also a «Salsa Bar», with additional condiments. I’ve never been to a «fast food» place where the service was so warm and welcoming! And toward the end of our meal, Rachel, and adorable worker there full of true hospitality and smiles, brought a tray asking if we’d like Moist Hand Wipes, and mints. Just an added touch that really was heart-warming. Even the manager came over and spoke with us in a most cordial way, without it feeling«phony». I have no idea if this is typical Corporate El Pollo Loco policy, but if it is, it’s great PR. And if it’s just this one store — THANKYOU! I’ll be back — and often!

«Hi, do your pinto beans have any lard or pork in them?» :turns and asks manager, who mumbles something and shrugs shoulders: «Uh we don’t know.»

Any place that shows empathy for feeding a child is the best in my book. Yes they are busy, but the location is full of people. We were taken care of by the assistant manager, she was a great multi Tasker. She has a hard job, but maintains order. We will definitely come back ! Thanks

Pleasantly surprised. Being from GA and never having heard of this place, I was skeptical because the outward appearance wasn’t appealing to me. I ordered a Chicken Tostada which was very tasty and it came with some kind of green sauce that was delicious. I don’t like guacamole and was doubtful of eating it. It may be an avocado sauce though. Whatever it is, it was FABULOUS!

If you have time, drive yourself to the other location in Oceanside; off the 78 and College. Service there is better! Eaten at this location many times. Then when the 2nd location in O’side opened started to dinning there due to best service!

Don’t get out to this part of town too often, but its always nice to stop in and grab some lunch in the old neighborhood. The chicken was over cooked and dry. I love me some El Pollo Loco but the one on Plaza near my house is better in the chicken department. I have to say that the customer service here is way better though. Very friendly from the minute you step foot in, and if a mistake is made they’re quick to resolve it.

The drive thru is packed while inside is empty. I know because I had to take my order in as they got it wrong, but they were very hospitable and gave me new food very quickly. So the friendliness made up for it at least!

Yesterday, I went to El Pollo Loco for a quick dinner. I arrived around 7 – 8;00 pm and order 3 courses family meal. When I got home and ate the chicken… yecch! It was overcooked and nearly black and hard in some places. Also the chicken are in small pieces that it wasn’t worth the money. Even KFC had better tasty chicken which are larger pieces and worth the $$.

Seriously I love their food it’s always good, but the drive thru is ridiculous! Every time I go I end up sitting in line for over 15 minutes. I’ve gone there 3 times in the last two weeks because I’m addicted to one of their burritos but each time drive thru wait was ridiculous. Today their was only one car ahead of me and it was 1:30pm how busy could they be?

Good food. Last time I went to this location I was shorted 2 things that I was charged for. The cashier Nicolas ensured I got the item that I was previously charged for and not given last time and made sure I wasn’t shorted anything this time. Always nice when someone at fast food actually cares. Probably wouldn’t have written a review if it wasn’t for that

I usually never come to El Pollo Loco. Like, Never. However, I was with a friend who wanted to grab something quick to eat, so we went through the drive thru. First thing I noticed– El Pollo Loco has Chicken Tortilla Soup. Say what? Since I am an avid soup eater, and always on the hunt, I decided to give it a try. Needless to say it was wonderful, and I have gone back twice since just to get some yummy delicious soup. The chicken is nice and moist(a mix of dark and white chicken) in a tasty broth with carrots, corn, and possibly celery. Additionally, on the side, the soup is served with tortilla strips, cilantro, and cotija cheese. Yummm. The perfect Chicken Tortilla Soup, and from a drive thru? My mind is still blown, but I am just going with it. El Pollo Loco, I am a fan of your Chicken Tortilla Soup and will be coming back many many more times.

I’ve been here a total of 4 times in the 8 years that I’ve been here. I have been disappointed each time. I went for the last time last Monday and found that the place is still dirty(especially the bathroom), the cashier is snooty and acts like she’s doing everyone a favor by taking their order, most of the tables were dirty, the service was slow(it was well after lunch and before dinner that we were there), and the cooks would rather gossip amongst themselves than turn out orders. Also, I may not look Mexican, but I am and I speak Spanish very well so when the lady behind the counter refers to me as «la pinche china quiere su vaso», yeah I catch that. I’m not happy at all with this place.

This place is usually pretty good… I usually get a burrito of some kind, and so far, it’s been pretty consistently good. The prices are a bit high for what you get, but if you look hard enough online or in the paper, it’s pretty easy to find a coupon for the place(also, you get $ 1 off your next visit if you complete the survey they mention on the receipt.) The staff here is mixed… some are very friendly(almost annoyingly so), and others are downright rude. Last time I went here, I ordered one of their new chipotle burritos(without the pico salsa)… they left off the pico AND chipotle sauce(and this was after waiting 10 minutes for my food). When I went up to get them to fix it, the excuse was, «You said you didn’t want the pico.» That’s weird, I don’t remember saying that I didn’t want the chipotle sauce… after a small argument about that, I also mentioned that the sweet corn cake I ordered was only about half-full in the cup… the excuse? «Well, you only ordered a small…» !#($*!$! Yeah, I was pissed… screwed up the whole meal basically, then wanted to argue with me about it. The only reason why I’m giving them 3 stars, and why I’ll go back is that one of the people behind the counter was very apologetic… not only for the screwup, but also for the rude behavior of her co-worker. So anyway, yeah… mixed experiences here. I’ll go back… the food is good and cheap enough(with coupons) and it’s walking distance from where I work.
