Yukio’s offers delicious food, great portions, and a terrific price. There’s a reason this place is always packed. Cut your wait time by calling ahead and picking up your food. Seriously, one of my favorites.

Good as you would expect from a typical teriyaki joint. Service was terrible. The cashier and possibly the owner were discussing the new arrangement of their beverages while my food sat on the counter. I left with my to go order to find they forgot my egg rolls, which after waiting five more minutes, were handed to be without an apology. I’d take my tip back if I could, which by the way, I also wasn’t thanked for.

This is definitely favorite teriyaki in Olympia. I usually get either their chicken katsu, chicken teriyaki, or the kimchee ramen. All are exceptional. I would assume their other dishes are of the same quality. The gyozas are also very good.

Great portions for the price, plus the food is amazing. Ordered the chicken katsu it is fantastic. Will be coming back another time!

Overall VERYGOOD! I had the Combo 2, Teriyaki Chicken-good flavor, slightly dry. Gyoza is like a dumpling stuffed with pork(I think) and veggies– very good. Fried rice is very good not greasy at all. Miso soup is ok. Salad dressing is a creamy kind with a slight peanut flavor also very good. My bf also had some stir-fried veggies. UPDATE: My BF returned today, after he paid he asked for some hot pepper oil on the side they wanted to charge .50, he used a debit card so just said never mind, she offered that he put hot sauce directly on his food, then when he asked for a fork, she said“are you going to eat at home? And didn’t want to give him a fork.

Yukio is the best meal for the $$$ in the Olympia area. If they had beer I would give them 6 stars.

This place is being ran entirely by one lady who is working harder everyday than I’ve seen anybody work. She may not smile everyday because she is constantly in pain from stirring the wok having surgeries on her shoulder and wrist. Yet she still tries her best because she loves her business and her loyal customers. Her body is breaking down because she doesn’t believe they will cook to her standards. She gives large portions because she cares about pleasing customers more than she cares about money. I hope everybody who is leaving negative reviews based on trivial complaints really takes a hard look in the mirror. She is one of the best and hardest working people I have ever met. Show a little bit of respect.

I’ve been to Yukio’s a couple of times. As a teriyaki place, it’s OK but nothing that makes it stand out from any other teriyaki place, except I must say the portions are huge. I guess the thing that bothers me most is the lady who runs the counter. She is not rude by any means, but she never smiles, never interacts other than what speaking is necessary to conduct the transaction, and the food is brought silently to your table. It’s just not a happy place, and the atmosphere is sort of depressing. I’m fine with stopping by for lunch if I’m hungry, in the mood for that kind of food and in the neighborhood, but that’s about it. If I want good teriyaki and a pleasant atmosphere, I go elsewhere.

I had to double check to make sure I was at the right place because the other reviews are great… However, I must have come on an off night… The portions are huge, but the rice smelled burnt. The sweet and sour chicken was normal, I did like that it was dip instead of covered in sauce. The bulgogi was no where near authentic, and if the owners are Korean I expect them to get it right… It tasted and looked like crappy broccoli beef.

Good food, good portions, and a good lunch special. Brown rice is $ 1.00 extra and, given that it is Korean owned, they they have a few decent extra menu items such as bulgogi, ramyeon, and a few others. This place seemed a little more fresh and less salty than most teriyaki places, which is nice – the teriyaki bowl came with steamed onions, broccoli, mushrooms, and cabbage.

First and last visit. One star for this place. Ordered food to go. While waiting for food to be ready, my anxiety level rose as I looked around. I could see lots of raw chicken sitting out in back kitchen from check out counter. Odd that there were several ice chests on the floor visible through the pass window. Chicken was dry and inedible. If I’d not ordered by phone, I would have turned and left. They do give large portions, which is probably why people give so many stars. I’d prefer quality over quantity any day.

My boyfriend and I came here late on a rainy Saturday night and we were the only people in there. The décor is pretty sparse but the portions are ENORMOUS and our food was ready in 10 minutes or less. I got the chicken teriyaki and it was FABULOUS. It’s not in the nicest location(in a strip mall with a lot of creepy, empty storefronts), but don’t let that off put you. My boyfriend got the beef and gyoza and he thoroughly enjoyed his food as well. Yukio was very friendly to us.

Great teriyaki! Everything in the menu is good but I usually end up with the pork. Portions are huge and the service is always friendly.

Best in the area. Very large portions — great for sharing or awesome leftovers. Friendly service and always delicious. The space is small, clean. Plan on a bit of a wait during dinner peak, as there’s typically only two staff. Noodles are loaded with stir fried veggies. The chicken Teriyaki is great, but I love the tender beef.

I’ve been going to Yukio’s for years. Yukio and her husband are very friendly people, and Yukio makes delicious food! Portions are large and service is quick. You should definitely eat here!

I somehow ended up in Olympia and I was starving. The Unilocal app told me Yukio’s is close by and a great option. We walked in and there were two tables occupied. There is a sign that tells you to order at the counter. I settled for a chicken teriyaki bowl since it seemed to be the smallest in terms of portion size. My bf got the bulgogi plate. After we paid, the lady filled up some water and put our utensils and napkins on the counter for us to pick up. Our food came out at an OK speed. Both orders were HUGE! There was a lot of chicken in my teriyaki bowl and a very nice portion of what looked like boiled or lightly stir fried vegetables. I love it when you’re forced to eat your vegetables at a restaurant. :) I ate probably less than half the chicken and rice in my bowl and brought the rest home. It did seem a little overcooked/tough. But this was a lot of food for only $ 6.25. My bf’s plate was NOT bulgogi and we couldn’t figure out if that was just their version of bulgogi or if they gave him the wrong order. He did not care and ate it anyway. We couldn’t tell on the picture menu what it was supposed to be, but it looked like stir fried beef with vegetables. It also came with a salad and two big scoops of rice. I will probably never come back because I’m never in Olympia, but this was not a bad meal.

I love the teriyaki here! Best teriyaki in the Lacey area! I also love their katsu, and sweet & sour tofu. The service can be hit or miss. Sometimes they’re really nice and other times they’re kinda rude. Usually I take my good to go so I don’t really care.

The food here is just so darn good. Yukios has a unique location as basically all the businesses on either side have gone and left and Yukios still survives. There really isn’t much in the shopping center so it’s not hard to find. It’s never busy when I go in. I probably could call ahead but I don’t mind waiting. The menu is not super large but of the options that are available they all pack a punch. I’ve had the sweet and sour tofu dinner and the tofu was perfectly done as well as the sauce. Mmm mmm. I’ve asked to have Mongolian tofu before and that was *orgasm*. All the dishes are large portions so you get your monies worth. It’s even better after it’s sat in the fridge for a day. The veggie fried rice is super good too. And the tofu yakisoba…*mouth watering… drool pools* So good! I can’t say I have a favorite because basically everything is amazing As others have mentioned, the prices are a little higher but I feel like it’s really worth it for quality food. I kind of feel bad that they are all along over there in the strip mall with the exceptions of Subway and Albertsons and I kind of wish they would get some more business. Yukios is my go to when Phở Vy is closed since Yukios is open until 9 on most days.
