This place was very mediocre. I went against giving it one star because boy have I had worse Chinese in my lifetime but this was definitely not good. Nearly all the food was almost empty and cold. They had a few good things, the lo mein was pretty good, pepper beef, and mushroom beef was okay. I left feeling unfulfilled. I won’t be back; there is much better buffets in the area to choose from.

My office is a block from this buffet, and it is not uncommon for someone from our office to run down for carry-out at least once a week. We usually bump into someone else from our office building too! A+ has a fantastic ‘pay by the pound’ carry out deal that is extremely affordable and very convenient. There is a lot to like in this Chinese buffet. I always get some pepper chicken, some California rolls, an egg or spring roll, and coconut shrimp. The dumplings(pot stickers) are good, if not terribly authentic. The egg drop soup is also good, but when you are paying-by-the-pound, soup is not very cost effective, so I don’t usually get it. They also have fruits, desserts, salads, and lots of other great options. In Summation: The quality of the food is decent. For the price and selection, this is a great place to go, especially for carry-out.

Food is good for the price. Great value and the people who operate are really great! Lot of choices, always dependable, can’t get a better value anyplace. Can’t get a fast food meal anywhere as good as this and a meal at Arby’s or McD is not even close to as good and you get to do business with a local guy who is great!

The three times I’ve been there the food was mediocre, at very best. The hot food was not hot at all. The cold food was barely cold enough to not get you sick and it had all obviously been sitting out for a long time. They regularly receive a «Standard» rating(a score of «C» on a scale of A to F) from the Douglas County Health Department(which is barely passing). I’m no germophobe, but they need to be held to higher standards and the only way to hold them to those standards is to get the word out about places that do not handle food properly. I recommend going somewhere else, like one of the HuHots or the China Buffet by Lowe’s on 147th& West Maple. These places regularly get«Excellent»(«B») ratings so it’s far cleaner, the food handled properly, and the food kept at appropriate temperatures. Just because you have not YET gotten sick does not mean you won’t. And believe me, food poisoning is NO fun time! Keep an eye on the Douglas County Health Department’s restaurant rating list for EVERY restaurant you frequent, and if their rating is low, call and inform them that, because their rating is low, you won’t be coming in until it comes back up. I love good Chinese food(especially on the Mongolian Grill) but this is a place to which I strongly recommend you not return. Unfortunately, a LOT of Chinese places are«Fair»(a «D» rating, just above getting shut down). The list from June is at

I have had better Chinese food from a Buffett. The service was good no problems with that the staff was friendly. There was a large selection of Chinese food and some American food. The Chinese food was just OK I was looking for the sesame chicken or orange chicken but could not find either. The crab Rangoon was really not that good and neither was the egg drop soup. Everything that I tried tasted like It had been sitting out for quite a while. I tried the Mongolian grill and it was again just OK. I probably would not try it again if I wanted to go to Mongolian grill I would go to huhot. It seemed clean for the most part nothing stood out to me. For a Buffett the food was average but I have had much better.

Ate there tonight for the first time and we enjoyed it. You expect to pay as you walk in since its a buffet but that is not the case. They seat you and a server will come and bring you the drinks you want. Since it is a Saturday night you can choose to add the crab legs to your buffet for a few dollars more. We did not choose that option and just ate the regular buffet menu. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of items on the buffet. A lot of seafood choices. The coconut shrimp was my favorite dish there. They also had mussels which I found a little too rich in taste, but after taking some of the sauce that is on top off I really enjoyed them. There was a few sushi items and I found them very tasty. Pot stickers are very enjoyable I love how they are a little crispy on the outside(I like them browned, and found some like that in the pile of them). Never noticed anything being completely out which is good, they seem to refill the selections often. We did not do the Mongolian grill but seems like they have a lot of choices that you can have them grill up. The desert bar was small but nice, and had quit a bit of ice-cream flavors(blue bunny), I choose the peppermint which was great and one of those puffy donuts that I always love . Our server was wonderful, friendly and was genuine apologetic when my son asked for a straw for his drink. he felt bad he never gave them to us to begin with, no big deal to me, just nice he cared. He even looked at the fortune in my sons fortune cookie with him, getting at his level so he could read it with him. When we left they were so friendly«come again soon, have a nice evening, thank you»… when you have friendly service it makes me want to come back. They clean the tables very quickly which is nice so your not walking in looking at someone else’s dirty plates. which drives me crazy. Someone was walking around vacuuming the carpet but it was one of those push, quiet ones that doesn’t bother anyone and makes you feel good that they actually care to keep the place clean. Will be back !

Great food! Everything was fresh, the entire restaurant was clean. The staff was friendly. The manager was great. He personally welcomed us and even walked us through the various buffet tables, pointing out some of their signature items. The price was extremely reasonable. We are sure to return.

The price is great for a buffet and the owner is always super friendly! Food has never tasted horrible, usually pretty good but can be sketchy sometimes. The chicken throws me off sometimes. Good selection of food too. I definitely have gone back a few times and will continue to do so.

I can’t help but like this place. Great Mongolian grill, and typical buffet fare but always quick, clean and can’t beat the price. Nothing real fancy. Open 7 days a week till 10pm. If not used to buffet style, don’t come here and whine. The food is tasty!

This is an interesting set-up. The food is pretty much standard heat/fry/dump as far as buffets go. It’s «small» so things are not in huge portions on the buffet which for some reason is always a turn off for me. The pans with one or two scoops in them look like it’s empty to me. The grill is good. It’s one of the few places in town that uses white meat chicken. I like it that way so I actually go there for that reason sometimes. But the best part of the entire event of dining here is the manager/owner. He’s a complete hoot. He’s fast to say hello, he’s always working a deal or offer. You can tell he takes pride in his work and his place. It’s rare that you find someone that is so connected with his business, but this guy is on it. Not to mention there is about 3 – 4 coupons available if you look at valpak or open google search. I think we ate for $ 6.99 the last time we were there for dinner.

We have been to A+ a few times now since moving to the area, and I really like their attentive customer service, friendly staff, and how the buffet is constantly maintained. Tonight, the owner actually told me about kids night for 99c, and then he told my son«remind Mommy about that.» Those nights are Wednesday and Thursday, by the way. I was in the mood for variety tonight, so took single piece servings of several things — teriyaki chicken, Hawaiian chicken, stir fried pork, stuffed mushroom, green beans(I totally took more than one of those), coconut shrimp, sesame chicken, and some cucumber/tomato salad. I also went back for a few pieces of sushi and and some fruit. Everything was fresh and tasty. My least favorite item was the Hawaiian chicken. I loved the sauce but the chicken itself was breaded and mealy. It would have been great with the sliced chicken they used in the teriyaki. My son had his normal buffet selections: rice, sesame chicken, green beans, and a fried sugar bun. He had 2 pieces of chicken that were tough but cleaned the rest of his plate. The only thing I wish A+ had more of is sushi. They have 4 or so rolls out every time, but a few more items to choose from would be great. Maybe a salmon roll or something. But overall, we really enjoy eating here and would recommend it to anyone.

My favorite of all the buffets in Omaha. I know buffets can have a certain stigma of bad food but A+ always delivers for me. Is it fine dining? No. Is it a great value for the cost? Yes. If I leave a place with my belly full, knowing my drink was never empty and my wallet is not too much lighter than when I went in, I’m satisfied, A+ staff always greet me with a smile and never leave me waiting for anything, like say a drink refill, the check or to clear my table. Some of my favorite buffet items include Coconut Shrimp(the best), crab rangoon, hot and sour soup, steamed rice, Teriyaki chicken and the pot stickers. Just to name a few. A+ is an A in my book. They usually have some sort of coupon, in Valpak, The Spartan, etc. For a $ 6 lunch(including drink) it’s hard to beat in the Metro. One word of caution, I went here on a Monday for lunch and it’s Senior Day and it was packed. Not that seniors made it worse, it was just really busy.

As far as buffets go, this is actually the best one I’ve been to in Omaha. The service is actually top notch. They refill empty drinks quicker than most buffets who usually make customers suffer because waiters are busy doing something else. The food was fresh and it made me want to keep coming back. You would think this place only serves asian food, but for Sunday brunch they serve breakfast. Come early though! Sometimes this stuff goes pretty quick depending on the weekend. And they actually have a good variety for brunch. Plus I’ve never heard of a Chinese buffet actually having a brunch special. It being placed across the street from where I live and it also being reasonably priced with great food, why wouldn’t I come back?

You know, this is a small buffet. Nothing fancy. BUT, what they do have going for them is that the great wait staff and the very personable owner, who is almost ALWAYS at the front door, greeting people and providing pleasant conversation. The food has a nice assortment and is served at appropriate temperature. They were open on Christmas Eve. We tipped the server above and beyond. Because she deserved it. Customer service speaks volumes to me. It almost trumps a shitty meal, not that this was a shitty meal.

I love this place! They have a good selection of food and you can usually find a coupon online for 5.99 or 6.95 buffet. The drink is included so you can walk out of there with two people stuffed for less than $ 20. You can’t even drive through Burger King anymore and be filled up for that price. I am a little biased because this place is so close to my house too! Just another reason we love coming here. The crab rangoon is also great so you must get some or you’re missing out! It’s the best! I give it an A+ Hah… Hah… Hah…

Great food. I usually go between breakfast and lunch for the brunch buffet. It has an assortment of breakfast foods along with the traditional chinese foods(traditional for a buffe I guess). The eggs are always awesome, sausage is good(they changed their links for some reason, they used to be enormous), bacon is cooked perfect(though sometimes it’s in very small strips…), and the biscuits and gravy are good. For the lunch part I usually help myself to the teriyaki chicken, peanut butter chicken, crab rangoons, fried stuffed mushrooms, fried potatoes, and the General Tsao chicken. All of it is very good, I’v never had anything that tasted«bad» here. They do a great job at making sure everything is full and not dirty. They had a good rating with the Douglas County Helath Board which reassured me to come back(other buffets didn’t do so hot). Service is good, they’re always on top of things, and the manager is always there to greet you. He does a great job at remembering previous customers also!

Great food. Not as many choices as some buffets, but the food is much better. The grill doesn’t have as many choices as most Mongolian grills, but it has everything you need. My favorites are the coconut shrimp, chicken on a stick, and good rice. I’ve heard the peanut butter chicken is excellent, but I’m not a fan of peanuts. Overall, it is great. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is very friendly. A+ is one of my favorite places to eat! Enjoy!
