Giovanni’s Pizza

im giving this place 4 stars and i’m being nice. They never open @ 11, never. My lunch is @ a certain time, so that is very inconvenient. Food very good, same vendors as original owners it appears, but I dont come back anymore because of the time thing. I have driven there several times and acutally watited for it to open and nothing. Also, the ceiling tiles are about to fall.

Pizza chicken wings and bread! All great. We did order sausage and mushrooms and got sausage and pepperoni… But the pie was still excellent!

WORST SERVICE AND ATTITUDE EVER from the guy making the pizza. HOWEVER, the guy who took my order was great. Only came here because of a groupon, but will never be returning. This place gets 0 stars.

This was my first time here. I had a good Groupon deal and ordered an XL Giovanni’s Special for carryout. They took the Groupon and gave me no hassells. They did have a Unilocal deal for free cheese sticks if you check in but that’s for Dine-​In only so I’m saving mine for next time. Pizza was fabulous. Fresh veggies and yummy meats. You can tell it was family owned as they even had young teenage kids helping out which is fine by me. The place is very outdated and they could use some remodeling but so far, it was a great pizza. Next time, I hope to check out some of their other dishes.

My kids were very hungry. I found through Unilocal that they were having a Groupon deal. When I got my order to go I never expect to find a burned Pizza and the most unbelievable mini size Breadsticks. I was in shock and very mad but my kids could not wait for me to go and get something else.

Another victim of the Unilocal Check-​in deal. I bought the groupon deal (11 $ for $ 20 worth of carry-​out). Called in and ordered a medium two-​topping pizza with an order of cheese bread then let the guy know I was going to use my Groupon deal. The guy even replied, «Oh the $ 20 bucks deal,» I agreed, he said about 15 minutes, I thanked him and said bye. Got to Giovanni’s and checked in like I do everywhere else on Unilocal.Lo and behold! 1 Free order of cheese sticks for checking in ! Usually places don’t accept two deals in one visit but I tried anyway. What the hey. I approach the counter and let the cashier know I was picking up my order to go and going to use my Groupon. Then I showed him that I had just checked in on Unilocal and unlocked the free order of cheese sticks they had promoted. He said okay, took my phone and marked my Unilocal deal as redeemed. He rang me up and it came out to 19.90 something. I presented my Groupon and he took my phone once again and marked that as redeemed as well. He then brought my box of pizza and a little brown bag which I assumed was the cheese bread. He said okay there ya go. At this point, I asked if the pizza by itself came out to the 19.90 something and he said no, that was the pizza and cheese bread, which I had ordered over the phone. Okay. Then I reminded him of the Unilocal deal which was an order of free cheese sticks. Confused and bewildered, he looked back to the cook and asked if we had ordered the cheese bread or cheese sticks? The cook dude then replied, «You guys want the cheese sticks? But the cheese bread is already made. If you want the cheese sticks, it’s an extra 3.99.» Then he told the cashier, «They gotta pay the extra 3.99!» Then I said, «No, I’d like both the cheese bread and the cheese sticks. The cheese bread I payed for, and the cheese sticks is with the Unilocal check in deal. «No, we don’t do that anymore. That was the old owners.» That’s okay then. I don’t blame the dudes left alone at night to run the place, management should educate their employees about what deals and specials their restaurant has flaunting around over the Internet and mobile apps. And maybe, just maybe take down the Unilocal check in offer. Or even know the difference between cheese bread and cheese sticks. Cook dude didn’t have to be so rude, I was only utilizing Their promotional deals (which they made available) to the greatest extent possible haha
Anyway, decent pizza. It’s neither here nor there. Cheese bread’s about a B.

Pizza here is better than michael angelos down the street and grazianos a couple miles away. Wings are good too, crispy with yummy buffalo sauce. Dare I say best pizza in Ontario.
The décor on the other hand definitely needs some updating. We had 4 completely different styles of chairs on our table alone. The pool table and arcades are old as well.
Alas what I take into consideration the most when reviewing restaurants is the food. Then it’s customer service and lastly interior decorations. I’d rather eat good food in an ugly restaurant with service without a smile. Than bad food in a beautiful restaurant with a smile.
This place has good food decent customer service and bad décor. Which equals 4.5 stars which rounds up to 5 from me.

Great quality food. Delicious pizzas. Great place to share a pie with the family. Try it.

Pizza was very good. We ordered a spinach and mushroom w/​half pepperoni. The pepperoni wasn’t greasy and my husband said it had great flavor. The sauce and crust were delicious. The service was friendly. I would have given 5 stars, but the restaurant needs a face lift. The kitchen was clean, so that is why I stayed.
The pizza is so much better than any other place in the area.
We will definitely go back!

Overpriced sandwiches. Nothing special here. I would not be going back.

This place Deserve no stars! Horrible service
Let’s start with the salad… Or what he calls a salad, was a head of iceberg lettuce and A end piece of a slice of tomato…
We ordered the pastrami sandwich special
And a junior pizza with one topping, and a order of 10 wings
Paid a whopping $ 25 for this meal
Pastrami sandwich was a roll with the top slit open with a tiny bit of meat in it, With a sprinkle of cheese and way too much mustard To compensate! Oh yeah, don’t forget the pickles four slices of them
The pizza wasn’t bad for what it was
I paid $ 10 for 10 wings and got Overcooked tiny wings that were crunchy and stuck to the bone, Barely any meat
Then the owner had the nerve to ask how our food was… As if he didn’t know since he’s the one that served our food and made it
I had to hold back (cuz I was so Irritated) but my husband spoke up and commented about the sandwich because it was that lame, he said «they have different sizes he should’ve asked» .
And don’t get me started on the Decoration or the tables and chairs are nasty broken down from the 70s, Try to shoot pool on the pool table with my daughter with crooked cues
Really disappointing because I don’t live too far from here and we’re always looking at different mom-​and-​pop places to eat but definitely will not be going back to this place
You know it’s pretty bad when a seven-​year-​old says I don’t think we’ll be going back there!
I use Unilocal all the time but this place was so bad that I had it actually join it and sign up for an account just to write a review for this place !

Pretty good lasagna and meat sauce, pizza is great.

Been coming here since I was a kid. This place makes a perfectly simple pizza. Owner is super personable and staff is quick. Can’t ask for more. Chain pizza does not compare.

Conveniently right next to work. My co-​workers and I order ahead of time and pizza is fresh and ready by the time we pick it up or dine in. That’s the best part call in advance and pizza is ready for dine in!
Pizza is freshly baked with right amount of cheese and sauce.

Still good but it’s been better. pizzas are very boring prices are pricey subs are delicious though!
