The food tastes fine but I found this piece of metal in it. Fucking awesome. No wonder there’s a Help Wanted sign in the window.

Good food and good prices. My husband found this place in his phone as a nearby Mexican eatery when we went to Trader Joe’s. We ordered the carne asada burrito(dry), the 2 taquitos plate, and a tamale. The food was fresh and hot. Service was good. The free chips & salsa bar was great(I like that the salsa isn’t too spicy, and the green salsa is amazing). We’d come back if we are ever in this area again.

This place was so unexpectedly good! I never would’ve gone here had it not been for Unilocal.Highlyyyy recommend the cheese enchiladas! I’m picky when it comes to enchilada sauce & their’s is bomb. Not a big fan of their shredded chicken or beef. kinda weird flavor, but the rice & beans, chips & salsa and pretty much everything else is good! My husband likes their carne asada burritos. I just stick to the enchiladas when we come here. The service is great & the food comes out fast! We even got it to go once & when we got home the food was still piping hot!

Always good food here no matter what you order. Free tortilla chips, just ask. Reasonable prices. It’s usually packed so it might be tough getting a table. To-go orders are easy. We eat here often!

Outstanding gringo style mexican food place right here! If you like your mexican food swimming under mounds of cheddar cheese and shredded lettuce, then Bobby D’s has got you covered. Let’s face it, I love me some autentico Mexican food just as much as the next guy, you know the kind I’m talkin’ about ~ aqua frescas, lengua, chicharon, tacos with just meat/onions/cilantro … sure, we all do … but some days, I’m like can I get some freakin’ nachos and a quesadilla!!! And on those days, I’m glad there’s places like Bobby D’s. It’s a lot like eating at an El Torito or Acapulco, only Bobby D’s is SOMUCHBETTER. Bottomline, don’t expect buche or horchata here, but you’re gonna eat well and get a great value.

Can’t go wrong here. Food is very good. Salsa is awesome. For the not faint of heart try the hot salsa. Recomend the number 29 with enchilada sauce as well as the chili verde burrito and the nacho’s grande. Staff is always great whether dine in or to go. Seating can get limited especially on Fridays or Saturdays. Enjoy the game on the flat screens while you have a very good meal at a very fair price.

I have been to Bobby’s D’s on numerous occasions over the past couple of years and have always left satisfied with my meal. Everything from the price to the service to the taste is on point with what you would expect from a place like this. The place itself is located in a center near Target off Meats and Tustin Ave near the Village at Orange and tucked away in the corner so it can be a bit easy to miss. The setup inside is relatively small but features both booths and tables as well as a small salsa bar which I definitely recommend checking out. They do get quite busy during peak hours so for a weekday lunch it may be bets to call in your order in advance. The prices are here reasonable and the portions on most items are quite generous. I have had several wet burritos from Bobby D’s including the bean and cheese as well as the asada as well as cheese enchiladas. The chips and salsa are also good but do come with a cost if getting your order to go. The service here is always fast and efficient and calling in orders is a breeze for pickup at lunch. Parking in the center itself can often get a little tight but there is plenty in the neighboring Target lot if it does fill up. For a quick Mexican fare pick me up this is definitely one of my go to places by work.

Extremely good. Delicious. Very friendly, and the hottest salsa makes your eyes water. I will be back again and again, I have reason to be in that neighborhood frequently at mealtimes. Each time I have been I’ve gotten there with a couple of people ahead of me, and by the time my food came the line was out to the door.

I work right around the corner from this place and have to say it’s an amazing deal. The 1 taco plate is more than a meal for most and clocks in at only $ 5. The servers bring your food so quickly that you barely have enough time to make a dent in your complimentary chips and salsa. The food is what my coworker called«American Mexican food», meaning that you won’t come here looking for street tacos or al pastor, but that’s okay, because it is a very different order of deliciousness. They also have one of those terrific soda machines that can make any flavor. One word of warning: they are closed on Mondays. My recommendations are the tacos and chile rellenos. Make sure to dine in so you qualify for the free chips.

After all these years, Bobby D’s has never disappointed except for my last visit when I was informed horchata(Mexican rice drink) is no longer available. Overall the food is still good and you just can’t beat the cost of your meal. My go to is the one taco(chicken) combo plate and it just hits the spot. I love the melted cheese on my beans that spills over to my rice and I’m OK with this. A nice touch and something to consider before you end up overeating, is that they serve your chips and you help yourself to the salsa bar. Also depending on the month, they’ll usually have the Angel games on or some other sport

Seriously disappointed for the third time. I have ordered a bean and rice burrito with NOCHEESE and every time it has cheese. Can you NOT understand that someone is allergic and when they tell you when placing said order you still feel compelled to add cheese??? Seriously why are we raising minimum wage in CA???

My husband and I really enjoyed our experience here getting typical Cali Mexican food. I tried the crispy tacos(one beef, one chicken) and my husband had a combo– we were both really satisfied. This is a great place to come for a quick lunch!

Okay so my first time eating here and I have to say the burritos are ginormous! If you are hungry for a good Mexican style plate this is a great place. The salsa bar in the corner had different types of salsa to try. I REALLY liked the green one it tastes like a chile/lime/cilantro salsa not hot at all but good. I ate the veggie burrito and it was delicious as well. Very big full of guac, lettuce, beans & veggies. Also the chile reanno(I’m positive I’m spelling it wrong) was great too. Over all cool little spot. I would eat here again if in the area.

Super good for a very good price. For slightly less than $ 6, I filled up on a really good Carne asada burrito. It was a wet burrito packed with Carne asada and a ton of beans… which I probably should have asked about before, since you all know the saying about beans…(is that TMI?) I’m not too sure what else was in the burrito to be honest. The cheese was baked on top of it, instead of stuffing it inside. Overall, it was good. I doused it with more salsa from the salsa bar, which added a lot more flavor. :) Free chips were a plus!

Has a hole in the wall small restaurant feel. It’s very non-romantic, feels like more of a place to come with the bros and catch one of the sports games being broadcasted in the restaurant. Food comes out quickly but the quality is definitely there! It’s not a place that I would drive long distances to eat, but if you’re in the area, it’s worth grabbing a bite to eat! Their mild green cilantro/lime salsa tastes great, and their red salsa is good too.

Unilocal challenge 2015155⁄365 Bobby Ds serving americanized Mexican food in Orange at the corner of Meats and Tustin near the Starbucks. Stumbled upon this place a few years ago via Unilocal. It seems to be a winner among locals. It is a great spot to pick up dinner for 2 for about $ 20. I am a picky eater, so I stick to the cruncy carne asada tacos a la carte for $ 1.95. They are topped with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and a generous helping of shredded cheddar and jack cheese. The tacos are a little dry so I usually add the red salsa. 3.5 stars. The hubsters usually orders a burrito or the tamale plate. Sometimes the tamales are good, sometimes they are dry. The 2 tamales come with rice and beans and a ton of cheese. 3 stars. The burritos are huge and customable, so I find myself adding extras to them to meet our tastes. 4 stars. They have that 100 plus choice Coke machine, which gives non soda drinkers a better choice. Lots of flavored waters, lemonades, teas, zero calorie drinks, plus all the ginger ales and sodas in between. 5 stars. Chips are free for dine in, but to go chips are .90. But they give you a huge box. The salsa bar is self serve. The red mild salsa is pretty good. Service has always been awesome. The same guys are usually working. They are always friendly and get the orders out fast. 3.5 star food…4 star service…4 star price… rounding this one up to 4. #649
