Loved this place. Came here for the first time and ordered the beef brisket sub with melted cheddar cheese. I highly recommend trying it out, the flavor is amazing. The employees were extremeley friendly and had a sense of humor. They were also patient with it being my first time and taking forever to order. I also enjoyed the vibe here, the place is neatly decorated and clean. I read another review saying the subs are over priced. This isn’t your typical sub shop like subway. You get great quality ingredients here and it tastes homemade with lots of good flavor. It’s worth the price. When they brought out my sandwich I thought it was small compared to subway but oddly, it was MUCH more fulfilling. I left very full and satisfied. I have no complaints :)

The positive — the staff is friendly and accommodating Negatives — the subs are over priced. I ordered the tuna large and added it into a combo package and got cheated $ 16.50. I could have had two subway foot longs or a very nice meal at a nice restaurant for this price. The subs are definitely not worth this price and honestly not that different from subway at all. It’s just an overpriced subway with a bit more space to sit down at and a nice friendly staff. I don’t want to go again … There are some amazing sandwich places in OC half this price and way better quality,

I’m hung. That is, hung between giving firehouse 5 stars and 2 or 3. Exceptional food in taste, quantity of food in the sandwiches and those wonderfully tasteful sauces. My sandwich is always hot… that is, if I’m not ordering cold, which I did one one occasion. Honest mistake them making a hot sandwich when I ordered it cold, but equally, it’s a simple request/task, which I made clear upon placing my order… to go. What made it so bad, the cold sandwich I ordered was for my wife, and this husband dares not enjoy his meal if his loving other has found her order to be incorrect. It would be best for you to find some complaint in your own meal, if she’s dissatisfied in hers. Simply utter a complaint of your own… and quietly devour. One evening at 8:25pm exactly, I stopped to silence my hunger pangs. The door was locked. I shook it to make certain. I looked at the ‘hours open’ sign…‘9pm’. Several people inside looking as though they were cleaning up for the evening. 35 minutes before closing?! I gave a good rapping on the door. I know the girl had already seen me when I shook the door. It took a good pounding on the glass for the look of disgust on her face to accompany her shrugging self to the door. She clearly made me feel guilty that I hadn’t assumed they were closed and just left. As I entered I immediately understood why she hadn’t heard me. I couldn’t tell if the music was heavy metal or rap. I’ve since surmised that at a certain level, one simply cannot tell the difference. Well, I ordered my meal and added an iced tea. Once paid and waiting, I found the tea was empty, which I mentioned to the young lady. She said she could make some fresh but it would take a while. I envisioned leaving with a hot sandwich getting cold if I decided to wait for some iced tea. I told her I’d pass on the tea. I was not offered a refund. Oh by the way, I also mentioned that they got my previous visits order incorrect, as I was once again getting a cold sandwich for my dear one. My mention went ignored. Anyway, I was not about to secretly enjoy another meal while I watched the wife eat in disgust again so I double checked my order before leaving. One does not enjoy that risk more than once. I will not and cannot accept that discolor upon my character again. I mean, I’m up for review in a few weeks… This place has the right idea, and the quality of the food is spot on. But the commitment to customer service the establishment most surely has set forth falls far short of even your lesser than average fast food drive thru. Firehouse needs to invest the same quality in their employees as they do their product or else a very good thing is going to go very bad… very quickly

Tracy as a first time customer and a restaurant owner myself you absolutely rocked my first experience with firehouse. From explaining your menu to me to having conversation with me while preparing my sub to finding out it was my birthday and setting me up with a sub for my next visit. You are an example of someone who belongs in the hospitality business. Anyone would be happy to have you representing their company. Thank you!!! Food: Awesome!

Went in for a club on a sub and it was delicious. I was helped by Jocelyn B. and she was a total sweetheart. She was fast and helpful and I felt like she was sincere. It was very clean and everyone seemed to be keeping busy. The food came out fast and fresh. Thanks!

I’ve eaten at a lot of surrounding places & have always seen this place so finally decided to give it a try. I got the turkey bacon ranch sub and it was very good. The sizes are big! I ordered a large and only ate half of it. Prices are decent as well.

This place is 2 for 2 on my 2nd visit! Great service with amazing subs. I had the NY Steamer with corned beef brisket and pastrami. The meat was tender and delicious. The bun was perfectly toasted. The condiments are mayo, mustard and Italian dressing. I’m not a huge fan of yellow mustard and took a chance that the mustard wouldn’t ruin it for me, but it was just the right amount to give it tang without overpowering the whole sandwich. My only issue was I got a medium, because I wasn’t sure how hungry I was and this sub was so delicious I didn’t want to the last bite to ever come! I would definitely get this sub again!

We tried this for dinner tonight while out running errands. Domes picked up the italian chopped salad and the smokehouse beef and cheddar sub while I opted for the chicken salad sammy with dill pickles. It’s worth the trip here for a quick eat and glad we got this to-go. They were both solid sandwiches and will be back!

Watched a manager and an employee within one minute of each other walk out from behind the food Prep deliver food and then pick things up from tables and out trash by hand in trash and then go back and handle food with the same gloves.

Just found my new sandwich crush. This place is amazing. Had the brisket Sammie which was perfect in every way. Let’s start with the bread, just the right amount of crust with softness. Bread is filled with brisket, I mean it when I say filled. They add some cheddar and then lather with Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ. Split a large with my husband. Glad we split it because it was huge. Overall meat was tender and tasty. This sandwich inspires me to try every sandwich this place has to offer. Service was great, everyone was excited to suggest their favs. Ambiance was cute, it’s a firehouse, just like the name. Can’t wait to go back

As an east coast transplant living in SoCal, I’ve been missing my firehouse subs. Well finally, they’ve expanded to the southland, and it’s exactly like I remembered it. Everything here is great. My favorites are the meatball and the hook n ladder. If you don’t know what firehouse is, stop in and try it out

I had been seeing the Firehouse Subs commercials on TV quite a bit so I decided to give this new to So. California chain a try for lunch. First off this is the cleanest Sammy shop I ever visited. Front to the bathroom, spotless. I was happily greeted as I entered by 2 folks. Nice to see someone cares. The service continued well after I received my sandwich which is way more than I can say that the«other» guys at Subway, Togo’s, Wich Wtich, Jersey Mikes, Cappriotti’s, or Quizno’s, have ever done for me. Hats off to the way better service here. I ordered the Brisket sandwich. Brisket, BBQ sauce n mayo on a soft roll. The11 $ combo included a bag o chips and a refillable soda from the robot Coke machine. At first I thought it was a rip off but the thin trimmed brisket was a pretty thick pile of meat that filled me up. I also thought the bbq sauce and mayo on the Sammy would get weird together but they played nice and made for a tasty sandwich. A medium sized shop with quite a few tables. A couple outside tables, TV with NASCAR news. Nice place, nice service and nice sammys! I’ll be back to try others soon!

I didn’t know they had firehouse subs near me! I found out about this place when I stopped for lunch near buckeye az and I was excited to find a location in orange .and a few other local places at my office we try something new every Friday for lunch and I have no regrets forcing my coworkers to join me. We placed the order online and sent our shop monkey to go pick it up. I had the sweet spicy meatball which was quite good and my coworkers ordered other hot subs that had mixed reviews from excellent to just ok. Overall the place is pretty good but I think they missed the double meat order on one sub and we’re charged for it. I think next time I’ll drive one of my companies fire trucks to the front door and we’ll dine in!

Spectacularly cute and spotlessly clean, I liked this place the moment I walked in. But with a sandwich shop this cute, could the food or service be any good? Well, in this case, it was! While my son ordered the sandwich and brownie, I ordered the Firehouse Salad. My son had the ham sandwich. With honey ham, provolone, tomato, lettuce, and mayo on a white roll, the ingredients in his sandwich were fresh and delicious. My salad had cucumber, olives, tomato, mozzarella, and romaine lettuce and was great too. The brownie was«awesome», according to my son, and course I had to verify this. I thought this brownie was super moist and the flavor was wonderful. Although there was a bit of a wait for the food, there was plenty to see while we waited. There were two televisions and a couple of cool murals on the walls here. The mural of the City of Orange firetruck was really nice. The black and white spotted tables, dalmatian dog in the corner, and firefighter’s jackets hung on hooks near the door are all fun things here. I also liked that they had little plastic fire chief hats to hand out to the kids. By the time we were done checking everything out, our to-go was ready. The employees were friendly and helpful and the food was great! For a nice lunch to-go, we’ll definitely be stopping by this Firehouse Subs location!

This place opened up earlier this year and we finally decided to give it a try. Since we are hooked on our sandwich spot sometimes it’s hard to go somewhere new not knowing what your gonna get. This is a hot sub sandwich spot with a pretty big selection of different ones to choose from. They are also have a few subs, under 500 cals, that come on a small round bun instead of the usual sun bread. I ordered The Engineer which is turkey, Swiss, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo and mustard served hot. It comes with onions but I had mine without. They provide a pickle on the side. It was okay but not great. The bread was soft and fresh. The mushrooms did not have a lot of flavor for being sautéed and there weren’t very many in the sub. The sandwich also was overpowered by the mayo. I don’t think it was bad but it could have been better. The pricing is about $ 9 to $ 10 for a combo. The combo includes a sub, chips and a drink. The drink is like the size of a large even if you choose medium. The soda machine they have is the one where you select the soda on a screen and then they give you different flavors of that soda to choose from. I’ve never really been a fan of these since a lot of the extra flavors taste very syrupy to me. I just stuck to the OG flavors like Coke, DP, sprite, etc. The place however is really cute inside. They really went the firehouse theme. It’s all red and white inside. Love the Dalmatian print tables! The staff was friendly and nice!

Take me out to the sandwich shop Take me out to the crowd Buy me some chips and some sandwiches I dont care if I ever go back For its root root root for the local sandwich shop If they dont change, its a shame For its 123 strikes and your out Of the old sammie game. Yea, 3 strikes and your out. To me service comes a loooooong way. Sometimes it can over write bad food. If service is exceptional, it makes things taste better. Tonight however it was a strike out. Strike 1 lack of service. I Knew I should of left 5 minutes as I stood there starring at the wall menu, without a simple Hello welcome to Firehouse subs. No «welcome can I help you.» Or no, «let me know if you have any questions.» Oh, there were plenty of people working but not one single person greeted me. Not one. After, I got the cashiers attention I told her I was ready to order. I inquired on a few sandwiches, asked her if she had tried them and she said no. So it was hard getting a recommendation. No small talk, nothing special with the service. I think Im a friendly person and strike up conversations with the cashier’s, but this one was not the happiest kid on the block. Strike 2, messing up my order. As, I was ordering she left in the middle of my order to check something, and thats when things turned for the worst. I ordered 2 sandwiches 1 Italian, extra mayo no tomato on White bread. When I got home it was on wheat. The other sammie was the club on wheat, no tomato, light mayo. What I went home with was a club on white bread with tomato. So they basically switched the breads. I asked for my bacon to be hot, but it was cold and soggy. Now, true I should of checked my order before I left, since its hard to see them making your sandwich, but they were tightly wrapped and sealed with stickers. I assumed they were rightly made. Strike 3, taste. My sandwich construction was a mess. It literally fell apart when I picked it up. It wasnt even cut down the middle. The white bread was very soft but very bready, The meat was shavings style and one side had more than the other side. It had shreeded lettuce and a few onion slices. Very very messy. I expected some deli mustard on it, since the cashier said it had some. But nothing. The sandwich was alright. Nothing amazing. The beast said his sandwich was«just alright. I added my own delli mustard and some basalmic vinegar, and it helped. Curve ball So heres the good news. Its a cool looking shop, located on the corner of Meats and Tustin off to the side of the Target shopping center. Plenty of parkibg. Lots of cool stuff to look at, all firefighter themed. They also have one of those fountain machines that have oodles and oodles of drinks. Chip selection is great and they offer plastic fireman hats that I wish I could of worn out of the store. Dinner for 2 with a drink and chips was under $ 20, payment with cash or plastic. Its a little more than costly than Subway, but this place seems fancier than Subway. The medium sandwiches here are huge too. Very filling. On, a plus the guy behind the counter, walks out and personally hands you your sandwich. So maybe it was training night, I did hear them mouthing off codes to the workers. Maybe it was a off night. There could be potential here. Maybe I just went on a very bad night, understandable. Im not convinced. I will return though for a re match

In the long line of options for Subs in the area, this place was OK. Given then choice, I’m sorry to say I prefer Earl of Sandwich. That being said, the meatball sandwich was delish. Loved the melted cheese on top. The cute little hats they have at the counter are cute as well. Service was typical. I had a coupon and girl messed it up, but they were kind enough to refund the different back on our card. Now sure when this location opened, but they have a NOWOPEN sign in front so I assume not very long. They have some coupons in the Entertainment which means we’ll be back. We’re a sucker for a good deal.
