I ordered this on Eat24 one night when I just didn’t feel like going anywhere. I’ve been looking for a really good place since I moved here 3 years ago. I live right near Golden Palace but I wasn’t impressed with them. Sichuan Spice House is now my go-to for Chinese. It is so good! The fried rice(I’ve tried them all) is great. The mu-shu(tried all those too!) is excellent. I love the wonton soup too. Also– most places I am NOT a fan of hot and sour soup but theirs was surprisingly tasty. Everything I’ve tried so far as been great. I’ve eaten inside the restaurant and ordered out as well and each time they’ve gotten my order correct; even my request for extra plum sauce for the mu-shu Portions are really large too but quality doesn’t suffer. Prices are very reasonable. If you’re in the area and crave Chinese, give this a shot!

Fresh, light not greasy, the best Chinese food in the area in my opinion. Spicy tan tan noodles, honey walnut prawns, everything we have ever ordered is great!

By far the most authentic Szechuan Chinese food in northern Sacramento area. Great customer service our water was never empty and they are very nice too. Order the Szechuan specialty items and you won’t be disappointed. The tea is free and the spicy garlic chili oil on the table is unique and not store bought. The quantities are great for the price. We found our favorite Chinese food spot. I highly recommend them.

This was the most authentic Sichuan cuisine I’ve ever eaten after I’ve been America. They were less sweet and sour, had more nature flavour which I could test them as home-food.

Food is awesome! Service both in house and take out is quick! This is our go to meal when we are exhausted and don’t want to cook. Our favorite is Honey Glazed Walnut prawns. We have never been disappointing with anything we have ordered!

This is a pretty decent Chinese restaurant considering it’s located in a non-Chinese neighborhood. The staffs are super friendly and attending. Great service! The twice cooked porks tastes very authentic. Highly recommend! Mapo tufu is also good, but can be more spicy. The boiled fish tastes ok because it’s over cooked. Overall, the restaurant is a good choice for take out or a casual Chinese meal.

Now when it comes to Chinese cuisine, it can be totally objective. Having lived near China Town in LA and south Sacramento, I know some good Chinese food when I eat it. This is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. How do you tell? First try the Won Ton soup. If it is really salty, you know it’s not good and trying to make it up in flavor. Their Won Ton is not salty and has really good flavor. I have had the house fried rice, honey glazed walnut shrimp, kung pao chicken, Mongolian beef and a few others. The meat is fresh as are the vegetables. All the food tasted fresh and was served promptly. The service is good, fast and friendly and they help you wrap up the leftovers as well. A nice little gem of a place in Orangevale. Glad that we moved here and now enjoy some pretty good restaurants close by.

I have never written a Unilocal on a restaurant before, but this place had amazing Chinese food. I have eaten at many other Chinese restaurants and have always been extremely disappointed. Their food was so absolutely amazing and flavored perfectly. The breading on their fried proteins was unbelievable perfect! I highly suggest the Sesame Beef.

I have been craving eggplant in black bean sauce for a while, and decided to try Sichuan Spice House instead of going to my go-to place… it is the extra focus on «spicy» that I was looking for today. I went a little after 1pm, and was surprised to be offered the lunch special today, since it’s Sunday. I ordered the eggplant in spicy black bean sauce, and it was a very beautiful dish. So much rice, so much eggplant! But, there was virtually no heat to speak of. In fact, the hot and sour soup was more spicy than my «spicy» entrée. It was still very good, and I had enough for another meal left over. Lunch includes hot and sour soup, the entrée of your choice(all the typical dishes you’d expect), plus your choice of steamed or fried rice or chow mein. I had steamed rice, and got about two cups of it. And, they put two fried won tons and a small dish of sweet and sour sauce on the side of the plate. The service was fast and courteous, and my drink was filled before it was empty and without asking. All in all, a very wonderful lunch experience and I will definitely be back!

I ordered over the phone, just now actually. I was quoted under $ 15 and lo and behold I pick up my food and it’s over $ 40! I asked what happened and they tried telling me the order I placed was for 8 eggrolls. I asked for 2PIECES of eggrolls and I was told it would be under $ 15, order ready in 15 minutes. I took über over to pick up my food and the total was an outstanding $ 40+!! Appalled, I canceled the order for the eggrolls and was still grossly over charged. They have tasty food and its available fast but I don’t appreciate how they tried to over charge me. I was very clear about what I ordered and asked for the total before I arrived. I am very disappointed that they tried to play me for a fool. I am considering bringing my business elsewhere. If they weren’t so fast and easy, and if I wasn’t a new resident to the area I would definitely go somewhere else. So much for being faithful and loyal to a business willing to screw over a repeat customer. No, I will not be taken advantage of. No I will not be played for the fool. Good food, bad customer service. Go somewhere else for fair prices.

First time getting pickup from this restaurant Cuz we are new to Orangevale and it was delicious! Walked in at 7pm on a Friday night and the place was packed(always a good sign) the Orange peel beef was so good. Everything we ordered I liked and will be back again

The food is good here and the restaurant is clean. The one downside, and it’s a big one, is customer service. You tend to think these people don’t notice you or have forgotten you. I saw a couple of other tables with a puzzled look as to why no service. The focus seems to be on take out orders. The lady owner is very nice. They just need a better system in serving their customers whom choose to dine in.

The food was great, I plan on eating from here again. What was not so great was the cost of delivery. The minimum delivery order amount of $ 25 and the Eat24 delivery charge, along with another delivery charge from the company… brought my bill up by almost $ 20. Not doing that again.

I love this place and I’m so glad it’s near my house. I usually get my meals to go but a friend had come to visit so we had lunch in the restaurant. It doesn’t have alot of décor but who cares if the food is great! Their lunch special also applies during the weekend, which doesn’t happen in alot of places. The staff is friendly and the servings are large. What else do you need! My favorites are the chow mein and lemon chicken. Nice crunchy white meat.

I came out to Unilocal today to leave my first review for a tire repair, but figured since I’m out here I’d drop a note on some of our other favorite places around town. We are Chinese food snobs.. .I’ll admit it. It may have to with the fact my wife is Chinese and I’m part Indonesian, so we’ve had our fill of authentic and non-authentic Asian foods. This restaurant is one of the best in the area without driving to ‘china town’ in Sacramento(65th or Florin & Stockton Blvd area). Not the best Chinese we’ve had, but the food is really good. + Nice sized portions + Average price + If you can get there before 3pm, at the time of this writing, they even let you order off the lunch menu(best deal). + There are six of us in our family and we get a lunch special each and then share family style. Plenty of food. + We are not fans of hot-n-sour soup which comes with the lunch specials and the restaurant has let us swap for egg-flower soup instead + Sunday football games are normally on the two TV’s + We always have leftovers because we order extra planning on having leftovers, since they are pretty good My only complaint is the one guy in the front seems to sit around and play video games while female waitresses do all the work. Really? Come on buddy. Having been there about a dozen times, this is our take on some of the dishes(the ‘L’ names are the codes next to the lunch specials): * Kung pow. Chicken — yes * Beef chow fun — yes * Taiwan style chow rice noodle — yes(we order this often) * Salt-n-pepper spare rib — good but not worth it * Nc2 — No! * Won ton soup — yes * Lc8 cashew chicken — so so * Ls1 — so so * Lv4 green beans — yes!(one of my favorite) * Lb4 mongolian beef — yes! * Lc1 yes * Lb3 yes * General Tzos chicken — thick batter but good flavor * egg flour soup = yes * hot & sour soup = ok * beef stew noodle soup = okay, spicy * LC2 — yes * LB5 — no * Lc10– yes

Found this place by the Unilocal reviews and wow! I am so glad we decided to try this place out. Atmosphere: Clean and quiet. I enjoy the facts that they have TV’s though, that is a bit different for a Chinese Restaurant so we could watch football and eat Chinese food. That was fun! Service: The ladies are very attentive but do not bother you all night. Our drinks were refilled several times before we even really needed it and the food came out in a timely manner. Price: Really good for the amount of food you get. We always order too much but the leftovers are just as amazing the next day! Quality & Taste: The flavor of the food is wonderful. The spicy dishes are spicy but not overdone and the sauces are finger-lickin’ good! Recommendation: Definitely come check this place out if you are a looking for affordable Chinese food with great quality.
