TL: DR– friendly owners, delicious in taste, would recommend and would definitely come back!
Owners of this place are super friendly and nice! Also really patient too because I took a long time to decide what I wanted to order.
Got a dozen donut holes, a chocolate cream cheese muffin, a cream cheese Danish, and a cinnamon roll!
Only had one donut hole because I couldn’t resist waiting until I got home. It was nice and fluffy and evenly glazed. The muffin was really moist as well! Haven’t tried the cinnamon roll but it was almost the size of my head! Can’t wait to dig into that later.
At such good prices for the delicious donuts, I will definitely be coming back!

Best donut place around. It is clean and the selection is great. I believe they have a lot of regulars. Try it! I saw some insane choices like Fruit Loop cereal doughnuts, maple bacon bars etc lol.

I give this place 5 stars for their French crullers, which are out of this world! The rest of their donuts are good, but their bars are a little doughy. But after trying the cruller, I will never order anything else!

best in sacramento my favorite is the blueberry cream cheese filled struddles always clean nice little store its a old long time family run shop great quality and effort goes into there donuts.

I like this place. The lady behind the counter is always friendly and the donuts are cheap and tasty. I usually go with an order of donut holes (which are huge!!). A dozen of them is under $ 2 which is a steal because of their size and yumminess.

This is my favorite little donut shop in the OV. Been coming here for 10 years. The owners are great, the donuts are always fresh and fun. They change up decorations and flavors all the time, and pay attention to the stuff that make donuts great, like consistency of icing and perfectly cooked fritters. They also have this crazy big chocolate square, in case you need a donut the size of your head.

What a find! Cheap, but awesome donuts. Also, maple bacon donuts. I mean really. Kids loved it too. Awesome for a Sunday morning treat! We will be back for sure!

I am giving this place 4 stars because they charge you 50 cents to use your atm card, so any savings you might get through their sale is pretty much gone with this fee. If you get 100 customers a day and get 50 cents extra per, that ads up over a month. I don’t think the consumer should be punished because the retailer doesn’t want to pay the credit card fees. Other than that they have good doughnuts, they have a good variety and the doughnuts aren’t greasy.

I LOVE this place, all of the veterans hang out here in the morning. And as a vet, I LOVE
to listen to their stories while waiting for my doughnut or scone (my favs). They make the best scones or low fat muffins (yum).

The best donuts in the Sacramento area. I have been going here for over fifteen years and the donuts are still wonderful and the staff is excellent.

Unilocal let me down this time. I expected more from a place with a perfect Unilocal rating. The selection was limited and the donuts were not as fluffy as I expected going in. The store was also very tiny and messy inside. There was stuff everywhere and it just looked poorly maintained. The employees (possibly the owners) didn’t seem excited to have customers at all. I got a couple of bars and the total came out to a little under $ 2. Definitely cheaper than nearby places which was a pleasant surprise. Nothing really blew me out of the water which I almost always get with other perfectly rated places. Sad.
Summary Statement: Overall my experience was not great. It was not horrible but not great. The product was a let down as I had high expectations going in. The environment was disturbing as it was cramped and messy. The customer service was satisfactory but not extraordinary. Will I go back? Probably not. The condition of their kitchen/​store makes me feel uneasy about their product which was a let down to begin with.

Great donuts; fresh, soft & full of flavor! Friendly service & clean environment. They are taking some risks with their new flavors & I appreciate that; the maple bacon looked tasty. I will be back!

Hands down one of the best donut shops I’ve ever been to in my life. I’ve been coming here for years, give or take 8 years. Basically ever since I moved to Orangevale lol. Donuts are very moist and fresh, I’m super picky about icing because other places I’ve been to have like thin watered down icing for their donuts. NOT HERE, fudgy and thick the way it should be! The only place around that compares is Bj cinnamon in Folsom, but for orangevale this place is king: D

Unbelievable that we’ve lived in this area for almost 5 years and just now found this place! They say that when someone cooks with love, you can taste it in the food and this place has love to spare! The donuts are incredible! I had an apple turnover today that was, without a doubt, the best turnover I’ve ever had. Not too sweet, not too tart, just enough cinnamon to make it taste great! Pricing is incredible! We used to go to Donut King on Greenback because it was close, but their prices are outrageous. No longer! Donut Spot has found a spot in my heart! This isn’t one of those places with a lot of flash and glitz and a snooty coffee barista running a machine the size of an old Buick, just really great donuts!

SO FRESH! The way donuts should be! They just melt in your mouth. Def coming here again. :)

Move over Marie’s Donuts there is a new King of the apple fritter in Sacramento and it is The Donut Spot! The fritter was perfectly cooked and covered in a not to sweet icing and stuffed full of delicious apple filling. Writing this review is making my mouth water :)
Donut Spot also carried a few items I have never seen before including a peanut butter Cinnamon Roll. Unfortunately they were out of this item and I wasn’t able to try one. We also had a Bear Claw which was covered in a non traditional cinnamon sugar coating instead of the normal icing. Although the coating tended to fall off alot more than traditional icing it was still tasty and refreshingly different.
My wife sampled a pumpkin cream cheese and a chocolate chocolate chip muffins as well. Both muffins were large, moist and tasty but not on the same level of yumminess as the apple fritter.
The owner was friendly and actually gave us the apple fritter for free because I had asked him to choose either the Bear Claw or Fritter for myself. Naturally he said come back and try the other one next time, we told him we were from Roseville so we don’t get to Orangevale very often. After paying for our muffins and bear claw, the owner said «I am going to give you the fritter because you have to try one: and we were so glad we did!

This place is always the place to go. Donuts are awsome, employees are friendly and prices are cheap, you can’t get any better then the donut spot.
