I’ve been thinking about getting my friend a gift from Chanel for a while now. I live in LA but I don’t have the balls to walk into the stores on Robertson or Rodeo. Let me explain: I’m a pretty basic girl and all the designer items I’ve ever owned have either been discounted or second hand. Shopping at Chanel is therefore very frightening for me since I’ve heard horror stories of people being treated like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman in these high-end retail stores. «Will they think I’m too poor? What if no one helps me? Are they going to treat me like an unwanted guest?» I pushed back on going for a while because I was fearful of being ridiculed by the SAs, but I knew I had to suck it up if I really wanted the gift. It wasn’t until a few weeks ago when I was preparing for my conference in Orlando that I randomly decided to google the nearest Chanel to my hotel. 20 minutes away and good customer service reviews on Unilocal. On top of that, the sales tax is cheaper than back home. I was sold. Fast-forward to today: I walked into Chanel at Millenia Mall with a coworker and was preparing for the worst. Surprisingly, however, we were greeted immediately and offered champagne while browsing the boutique. I couldn’t believe I was drinking champagne and frolicking around in Chanel! I mentioned that I was looking for a gift and from start to end, our SA, Yoshie, could not have been more helpful and accommodating. She patiently answered my questions and went out of her way to ensure that we had all available options in front of us. Yoshie and the rest of the staff were really great at making us feel comfortable and had us laughing the entire time we were shopping. It was such a surreal and fun experience and nothing like the nightmare that I had imagined. It may be because they are used to tourists coming in all the time, but even so, they made me feel just as important and special as someone who was throwing down thousands of dollars. Even though it’s not for me, I am SO happy I came here to make my first Chanel purchase. It won’t be my last. I’m just sad I can’t bring the SAs over to the CA stores :(

Very disappointed in this store’s management team. They have not kept their word or commitments made. This experience has ruined my impression of the Chanel brand.

I live in chicago but always end up buying high end items when visiting my mom in daytona beach. i have been obsessed with owning chanel for years now. after going to both chanel in chicago and las vegas i walked out empty handed secondary to horrible customer service. while on a trip to florida a couple of weeks ago, my friend, mom and i walked into chanel in the mall of millenia and were treated so well by kumi! she was fab! there was another lady who helped me pick out shoes(sorry i didnt get your name) who was also great! i had the best experience ever, was treated so kindly and i can now officially say i own 5 pieces of chanel. kumi, you are my lady and i will visit you every time i am in town :))))))

Chanel is the absolute pinnacle of luxury. A dress, necklace, earrings, or a bag. You can never go wrong. Chanel is beautiful, timeless, and always about quality, design, and luxury.

I’m a simple woman. I collect only two things: Starbucks city mugs and Chanel bags. So as soon as I checked into my hotel in Orlando last time I was there for a conference, I jumped in a cab and made my way to Chanel. With only 6.5% sales tax and a large collection that would make the Maiden Lane, SF boutique of Chanel weep with envy, the purchase of a Chanel 2.55 Reissue in metallic copper(2008 autumn/hiver — that’s right… discontinued color that is almost impossible to find) took no more than 15 minutes. Score. Next up: Nearby Starbucks for my Orlando city mug.
