I always loved Firehouse Subs and visited often while attending UF. Since I don’t have one where I live now I was happy to see one at Millenia while visiting Orlando. This location had the same great customer service and delicious honey ham sandwiches as previous locations I have visited before.

This place was a madhouse on the Sunday before Christmas. I have never seen a 15 minute line at a mall eatery but this line was the shortest of them all. They offer the normal selections but at a premium because you’re in the mall. I spent almost $ 10.00 for a medium sub and a soda and it was just ok. I seem to rememeber these subs having a lot more flavor.

I like this location. Always tasty and consistent. Staff are friendly and service is prompt. I much prefer Firehouse over any of the other sandwich options in this mall. You can usually get out of here with a sub for under $ 6 if you skip the combo option. I was lucky and sweet talked the cashier into a 10% discount on my last visit. YMMV.

GREATCUSTOMERSERVICE! We called to see what time they were open to get sandwiches to take to Disney… John said he’d open early for us. I asked for no tomatos on mine and he forgot. He realized it after we walked out and chased us down offering to pull the tomatos off. I’ve never experienced service like that at a sub shop before. I’d go back just for the service.

I was shopping in the mall with my sister and we decided to grab lunch so we headed to the food court to see what we could eat. Firehouse Subs was the first thing we both looked at and decided to eat there. Of all the places in the food court, this was actually had the most people on line. I ordered a hook and ladder which has turkey and ham and my sister had the Italian. Except for the 5 min wait which was not bad for the amount of people getting lunch, the food was good. The bread was soft and tasty and there was not too much lettuce in the sub to make it seem like it was skimping on the meats. The only reason I did not give it more stars is because it really did not wow me. The staff was not smiling and seemed stressed out. That makes a difference with me. The impression you give your customers on if you are enjoying your job is important. They just did not seem happy. Also, the food was just okay. I was not blow away by the type of sandwich we got. I have eaten at a few other sub places and I like when they toast the bread… make them hot… give them some flavor. My sub just did not do that for me. It was okay… just not memorable.(but they did keep the pickle away from the sandwich which is great since I don’t like bread with pickle juice all over it…) So if you are looking for a quick sub at the mall, this will do okay. Enjoy!
