I had the Southern Comfort Burger: Cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, housemade BBQ sauce, mac & cheese. Simply sick. This was definitely one of the juices burgers I’ve had. The BBQ sauce was not over baring and just the right amount. The burger never dripped it’s juices all over my hands. The bacon was crisp and of course bacon rocks on anything. The mac & cheese under the patty was sensational. That kind of mac & cheese you take a bite of and your eyes roll to the back of your head. The party was medium well and succulent and the seasoning was perfect. The blob of cheddar cheese on top brought everything together in a hodgepodge of burger satisfaction. I will return for a second helping. Recommended! P. S. The shoe string fries are a ten and the service was good.

Vegan grilled cheese FTW! We tried the Viva La Vegan with vegan cheese and the Vegan Roasted Veg as well as both the salted fries and the truffle oil and rosemary fries. Everything was delicious! Not too greasy, yet crispy, hot, melty, and satisfying! They offer a few kinds of beer too, which pairs well with all their vegan options! We’ll be back!

Really enjoyed dinner here last night! I got the«Southern Comfort» burger and it was greasy, cheesy, and packed with bacon! The truffle fries were also very good. Very friendly staff, and cute décor, loved the cheese grater lighting fixtures and periodic table of cheese.

Simple and satisfying! The beef brisket was perfect in my grilled cheese. The fries were perfectly cooked and flavored with truffle oil. The best part? The cheese grater light fixtures!

I had the Southern Comfort Burger! OMG! Delicious in all the right ways. Food was very HOT&FRESH! The sloppy goodness with the Mac n Cheese all over a well feed beef patty. Awesome burger bun and nice crispy bacon. I see why most of the reviews are positive. I’ll be back very soon. Thanks for a wonderful late lunch.

Just OK. Seemed heavy and greasy. Not as much flavor as I would have liked. A little bland. I had high hopes but was slightly disappointed.

Toasted has so many different variations of grilled cheese to choose from so if you’re a cheese lover, this place has your name on it! I’ve ordered their fig and goat grilled cheese which was very tasty, especially if you have a little sweet tooth. I have also tried the buffalo chicken grilled cheese which was a good sandwich but was too overpowered by the buffalo sauce. The price is alright, pretty standard for the area. The décor is very cute with a gigantic periodic table of cheese on the wall, which has never failed to amuse me. Overall, a great option for lunch!

Grilled cheese joint located in Lake Nona, serving American food in a decent atmosphere. Meat in the Southern comfort burger was hard, as it was not edible. Natural cut salted fries were good. Periodic table of cheese is displayed. Fair food but I would rather go to Five Guys for a burger.

Appears to be a chain — higher end fast food joint with can beers. I had an amazing Gouda cheese Sandwich and husband had a burger that hit the spot. Kids menu by request but my kids enjoyed they’re food as well — my daughter’s tomato soup was the best I’d ever tasted. New construction strip mall that we hit up after picking up on off site rental car after we landed in Orlando. Great find for some hungry kids and thankful they had beer for our first vacation meal!

This place is delicious! First off, major points for having fresh apple slices as the default side for the kids meals. They have vegan options and were super accommodating when I asked for the turkey burger without any dairy products. They offer vegan cheese and gluten free buns too! The girl who took our order was really friendly and our food was out pretty quickly. I’m so sad that I can only eat here while visiting Orlando. This is the kind of place I’d love to have closer to home. Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot and the restaurant is spacious and clean. Great find!

I’m bumping up my review to 4 Stars because I really enjoyed my Braised Brisket Sandwich. It was toasted to perfection and I thought the brisket was flavorful and tender. The BBQ sauce is served on the side and I’m not a fan of adding sauces after the fact so I skipped the sauce. My wife ordered the Triple B Burger which consists of Bacon and Blue Cheese and she can’t stop talking about it. I look forward to trying more of the menu!

Yummers! This place is cool! Can’t wait to come back and try a grilled cheese sandwich. Juan had the Southerns comfort burger($ 7) & I had the Holy Basil Turkey Burger($ 6.50). Both of us added an over-easy fried egg($ 1.00 per add-on) and Juan added bacon to his. Juan had the truffle fries and I had regular. We both enjoyed our food VERY much.

YUM! First, let’s start with how adorable/well branded/clean/pretty this place is. The logo is great, there is a PERIODICTABLEOFCHEESE, and the place is open, bright and clean. One wall even looks like it’s made out of swiss-cheese inspired tiles. I want to live here. Second, the staff is nice, patient, and helpful at explaining things. I mean, I knew what I wanted before walking in, but others were more curious. You order at the counter, grab your drinks, then your food is brought to you. Staff checked in that the food was good, took our plates, and were patient with my husband and I eating incredibly slowly(pregnancy makes it rough to eat fast, my husband is a slow poke on the other hand). So really, the important part… how is the grilled cheese? From New York to to the midwest down to Florida, this is in my top 3. I will definitely make this a place to return to when in Orlando. Why? I got the truffle melt. The cheese(havarti) was tasty — but the combo with the arugula and truffle oil was perfect. And it was cooked to perfection. It was exactly how a grilled cheese should be — it didn’t use thick bread(a pet peeve because it throws off the cheese to bread ration), and it didn’t try and be something it’s not(too many places try and make their grilled cheeses into these giant sandwiches, at which point, it’s a sandwich). Cheese was the hero. My husband’s choice — the smokehouse — could have fallen into one of the ‘this is a sandwich not a grilled cheese’ category of things, but they did it right. The pulled pork was mixed into the mac and cheese with the chipotle cheddar still prominent. It wasn’t too thick — pressed down and grilled well. The mac and cheese being pressed into the meat meant a cheesy bite every time. It was much heavier than mine — he didn’t manage to eat it all. We got tomato soup and rosemary/truffle fries as side. The tomato soup is very good — a bit of a spice, mostly tomato, great texture(not chunky, well blended), and perfect for grilled cheese. If you like creamy tomato soups though, this wouldn’t be up your alley. The fries are a great choice for the non-tomato soup lovers — they were thin, crispy, and very yummy. The rosemary was my favorite addition. This is a great place for families too — it’s fairly quick, has a great variety, and it’s all that expensive. It’s filling and delicious. If you are driving yourself from Orlando out to Port Canaveral for a cruise or something, this would be an easy place to stop into(how we found it originally, prior to it’s opening).

Great new addition to the neighborhood. I was happy to hear a locally owned grilled cheese place had opened in the area. While yes grilled cheese is not unique or hard to make it beats many of the crappy fast foods we have in the area(McDonald’s, Taco Bell, etc). I came when I was town visiting family. While I had the Big Cheese sandwich and truffle fries others in my group had burgers. My grilled cheese was great and I love that they use four different cheeses… you would be surprised at the amount of places that sell you a grilled cheese with only cheddar cheese and charge you more! The truffle fries were also good. The people that had burgers enjoyed them and would recommend them is you want a break from grilled cheese. Definitely a great find for a casual lunch/dinner with friends and family.

Delicious combinations of ingredients. And it’s more than just grilled cheese, they have burgers too that are just as creative. Burgers with Mac and cheese on top then covered with a slice of melted cheese. I had the Fig and Goat grilled cheese with bacon added on. Sweet little sandwich. Not sure it was worth the price, but you could equate it to Panera’s cost. Fries, Mac and cheese and tomato soup costs extra on the side. It has an average amount of seating inside, but they have a side patio for outside seating – just remember to bring a handy napkin and utensil holder out with you(located by the drink machine). Your sandwich and sides may come out at separate times, which is a bit annoying to me. Overall, good first visit.

Super-casual, order-at-the-counter place that’s good for Vegans and Non-Vegans. I loved my Turkey Banh Mi… loaded with flavor and great mix of textures. Also liked the fries and there were plenty to share. Others enjoyed their Vegan selections… a plain Vegan Burger and a Banh Mi one. Plus the Vegan Truffle Fries. Rich and tasty… rosemary is a nice touch! The staff here were terrific… so friendly and helpful! One even helped entertain our one-year-old by playing peek-a-boo from behind the counter.

I didn’t really understand the hype with Toasted. I’ve tried the Truffle Melt, which didn’t really taste any different than a regular grilled cheese anywhere else. I guess I expected a little bit more considering the place specialized in them. It was a bit overpriced for a regular grilled cheese. I also came back and tried one of the burgers. It was good but just not worth the price. I’ll probably come back and try out some of their other selections.

I was truly impressed on my first visit here. Protip: get here before noon if you plan on eating here. We got here about 11:45 and got the last indoor table. I had the braised brisket sandwich, and it was good! It comes with fontina cheese, which is a good choice due to its mild flavor. It also comes with BBQ sauce on the side, and it tastes awesome! You may want to ask for an extra side. One was barely enough for me. I really enjoyed the rosemary truffle oil fries. Very tasty and, equally important, served hot. I’ll be back for sure!

I’ve pined for Toasted ever since I went to the one up on Aloma. I eagerly watched the crews piece together the latest(and in my opinion) greatest addition to the Lake Nona sandwich game. Maybe I am a sucker for outstanding grilled cheese, spacious dining rooms, and ample patio space. This branch of Toasted has all three. Although the unpredictable and unapologetic summer weather can make choosing to dine al fresco a challenge, there is plenty of space inside the dining room. I am quite happy about the To Go line, so when it comes to my lunch breaks, I might be phoning my order in and having a picnic somewhere off the grid in The Nona! The staff are cheerful and polite. I didn’t see anything less than bright smiles all around. Even with a business day lunch rush, they were working hard to get orders taken, plates out, and tabled bussed. I’m a huge fan, and I am now determined to try everything on the menu at least once! Can’t wait to get Toasted again!

I LOVEIT! I gotta tell you I was more than skeptical when I saw this joint going up. A grilled cheese restaurant… seriously? Oh yes… it’s a grilled cheese joint and it’s flipping fantastic. Welcome to lake Nona! I got the tomato soup(amazing and fresh) and the goat cheese and fig grilled cheese. I mean really, fig and goat, what on earth could be less than awesome with that combo and let me tell you it’s the business. My wife got the big cheese which is their version of grilled cheese; it was on but no where near as good as mine. Kids got mac n cheese which was a tad complex for their tastes, but they also shared grilled cheese kids meals that come with a bottle of apple juice and a fresh apple! Not too bad for $ 4.99. We ordered fries, soup, 3 kids meals and 2 regular sandwiches and the total was about $ 30. I feel like we got a good value for our money. There’s no question they cook it all fresh. I’m trying one of these killer looking burgers next! Stop by and check it out. I think you’ll love it too
