This place is amazing! I’ve been craving Cuban food since I went to Miami on a trip and this was exactly what I was looking for. The Cuban coffee was excellent, the media noche and empanadas were delicious and the maduros(sweet plaintains) were PERFECT. I can’t wait to go back.

I wanted to go to Yaya’s for lunch today but the place was closed down and moved to 3500 Curry Ford Rd, which is Zaza Cuban Diner.

Tucked away inside a residential area, this little and cozy bakery offers great food and the typical warm service you come to expect from a family-own cuban restaurant. From pastelitos to cortaditos(cuban lattes) and more, this place serves up awesome latin american comfort foods at very good prcies. I must admit we ran into this place by pure chance, but we were glad we did. After a long red-eye trip from Vegas to Orlando, we wanted to have a good breakfast before driving to the Disney area and this place delivered! We had several different pastelitos(turnovers), sandwiches and cortaditos and it was most definitely a taste of heaven for us! This place was so good we decided to take a few dozen more pastries for the family and visited twice more before heading back to Vegas. A few must-try items: * Meat pastelitos * Quesitos(sweet and savory cheese puff pastries) * Cuban sandwich, of course * They have a sandwich with powdered sugar on it… try it! It is very different * Malta * Cortaditos I know where I will go for breakfast next time I am in Orlando :)

The place is not much to look at but the food was really good! The people were very friendly. I had the roast pork with black beans all very tasty. I would rate above average, not the best I ever had but not bad. Their Cuban sandwich was very good. the pastelitos were also very good. I recommend the guava and cheese. We topped it all off with some Cuban coffee that was made to perfection with the right amount of sugar!

One of the gems of our neighborhood. Funny story before my actual review: Context, I’m a little(a lot) beardy. The first time I walked over after moving to Azalea Park I was super-bearded and wearing a military surplus hat… in a Cuban restaurant… probably filled with Cuban refugees. Yeah, I got some sideways glances like I was playing a joke. I took my hat off, everyone smiled and it’s been amazing since. My bride walks over at least once a week for a cortadito and empanadas. You always get more than you pay for, and it’s the wonderfully salty, porky, cheesy, sweet goodness(depending on what you order). The thing that topped it off entirely was the Thanksgiving turkey! Each year they sell turkeys for your holidays. The turkey this November was INCREDIBLE. It came with the most scrumptious stuffing/filling/dressing, gravy and all of the greasy little pan drippings. They did something to that turkey that was the absolute best kind of «un-American» there was some flavor, some herb or spice that made every other turkey I have from now on taste bland and uninteresting. Their staff is super-friendly and if you make yourself a regular they will remember you for sure. When you’re a little forgetful like my wife and leave your beloved empanada they REMEMBER and will give you a fresh one when you stop by hours later without even having to ask.

Flaky caramel sugar tinted pastry filled with cheese and a hint of guava, a quesito from Yaya’s sums up goodness in a single bite. It may have been lunchtime but it was never too late to enjoy a quesito with their delicious coffee. While enjoying my little treat, I ordered some lechon which came with an order of beans, rice and warm crusty bread begging for butter. I asked for a side of fried sweet plantains as well. This simple little meal was so satisfyingly perfect. I topped it off with a slice of tres leches and slowly got up from my chair. I tell myself I should be glad I don’t live anywhere near Yaya’s because I fear I would go there every other day. Maybe I just say that because Yaya’s is so far from home. Oh Yaya’s, why are you so good to me?

The other glowing reviews convinced me to stop here for lunch one day, and I’m glad I decided to. It’s not a fancy place, and all I ordered was a Cuban sandwich [see photo] — so I’m not really qualified to talk about their pastries or anything. The sandwich was tasty and the bread seemed fresh, and coupled with the included fries it was more than I was able to comfortably finish so I ended up leaving a few fries on the plate. That and a fountain drink for under $ 10 makes it a good value for lunch. I’ll definitely be returning.

I seriously think they put crack in their«quesitos» and pastries. They are SO good! You will absolutely love it. I think I’ve gained 5lbs just thinking about how delicious they are. If for nothing else, go to Yaya’s for their pastries. Their food is not the absolute best I’ve ever tasted but it isn’t bad at all. It tastes homemade. You’ll enjoy it. It’s actually not that pricey either. The location is kind of hidden which is the only gripe that I have. It is literally sitting in the middle of a residential area.

This place is god sent. Amazing food for cheap with a cool little location. The pastries are from heaven, the guava ones are just too good to only have one. Quick service and great food, you can’t beat that.

I went and picked up the Vaca Frita for lunch. Every single item in this platter was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, and was BY far the most delicious thing I’ve tasted in a long time. Will absolutely be going back again.

Great food, Best quesitos I have ever had. Really good Cuban & Media Noche. Inside is very small not very much seating. The crowd can get very large right after the catholic church as let out. The service is very quick. The food is very cheap. The only real complaint I have is last time My wife and I went we both had the vegetarian omelet special and she found pieces of bacon on hers where it looks like they didn’t clean the cooking surfaces before they poured out our omelets. Food was still great I ended up eating both meals over 2 days but not good for a vegetarian.

This is my go to place for some cuban pastries! It is a bit run down, and it always feels like a sweatbox entering in this place, but its all worth it. I always get Pastelito de Carne and Guava and cheese pastries. I ate pastelito de carne when I was a little kid, and it took me forever to find a place that serves it in orlando. I’m so glad to have found it! I haven’t tried their actual dishes yet, but hopefully I will the next time I visit.

I stopped in here for a quick Cuban coffee and a guava and cheese pastry. It was so delicious… an entire week of dieting went out the window but damn, it was worth it! I’d like to come back and try a proper breakfast or some lunch… but chances are I’ll probably just get another pastry. Muy bueno!

Great place! Stopped by Ya-Ya’s today for lunch. Decided to go with the half sandwich and soup; Mojo Chicken & Black bean. The bread was nice and soft with a thin flakey crust and the chicken was good. A little on the thin side, but good. The soup was delicious. Thick and creamy like it’s supposed to be. I topped it all off with a Café con leche and a sack full of pastries for the office. Will be heading back to this place soon.

I love that this place is within walking distance of my home, and will admit that their pastelitos de queso(aka quesitos) are awesome when you get them fresh in the morning. But Other than that this place is kind of «blah.» Their Cuban Coffe is NOT espresso, and when you order it it is poured from a large coffee pot behind the counter, and not made fresh! Their Croquettes taste good, but don’t really taste home-made as you would hope at a bakery(I think they are frozen and fried on demand)! And the Ropa vieja I once ordered tasted like it was scraped from the bottom of the pot… and tasted charred. Their sandwiches are tasty, and their chicken soup will fix you up when you’re sick. This place isn’t horrible, but it most certainly isn’t great or authentic Cuban for that matter… They serve mofongo and arroz con gandules… geez. Try Pancho’s down the street, or Sedano’s for real Cuban food. If you just want pastries and American style coffee… than this place is great for a quick stop.

I love that there is an actual authentic Cuban bakery in Orlando. I’ve had pasteles and other delectables around town, but none of them had tasted anything like the real Cuban pastries I grew up eating in Miami. Ya Ya’s is the first. Especially after trying their pasteles de queso and their café con leche. This is the one place in Orlando where you can find the real thing. They also have great pastelitos de carne, pasteles de guayaba, and papas rellenas. Their cake case is very impressive, and I wanted to try some, but I was so full from the café con leche and 6 different pastries I sampled. I was overall very impressed and would tell anyone that if they want to try some good Cuban pastries in Orlando, this is the place to go.

Some friends told me about Ya-Ya’s and I was in the area so I decided to stop by. My iPhone guided me to this out of the way location just off 436 south of the 408. I had a pastry filled with Guava and cheese(pastellitos of guava). It was very good. I’m looking forward to going back and having some of that Cuban coffee.

It’s a small hole in the wall restaurant which serves delicious spanish food. I’ve had their Cuban sandwiches(did the combo which brings ½ sandwich, soup or salad and a drink) and it’s very filling. The way the Cubans are made is delicious. Now the thing Ya-Ya’s is mostly known for in my house is dessert. They have amazing quesitos(phyllo pastry filled with cream cheese and glazed in a honey/sugar coating), pastellitos of guava(similar to quesito but larger with flavorful guava within) and their cakes. Today we had a vanilla cake with pineapple filling for my Mother’s BD and it brings back memories of the cakes from Valencia in NY. It’s décor isn’t flashy but the foods and desserts truly make up for it.
