I was very happy with my choice to stay at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone that needs accommodations in this area! Everyone is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The building feels bright, new, and modern. The rooms are really clean and comfortable. The pool is very small, but I hadn’t expected a pool or the hot tub that was there so I can’t complain. It was open until 11pm each night which was nice. The pool room was a little too hot but nothing that couldn’t be tolerated. Nice typical full free breakfast. Wifi works well in rooms as well as lobby. Shower heads not the greatest — this would be the only thing I wish the hotel would change. I stayed in a king suite and was very pleased with the layout. It’s spacious and homey. Plenty of space and convenient fridge as well.

The room was okay, the restroom looked dated, and a bit grungy. lighting in the restroom was dim. The bed and pillows sucked! Overall, I wouldn’t return to this place… it just happened to be the hotel I landed on and looked decent. Next time I might try a different one.

My family and I have stayed at this hotel before and we really enjoyed it. This time was no exception for the most part. We stayed on the 3rd floor this time in room 327. It had two beds and a fridge and microwave. Last time the fridge was not cold at all and this time it was perfect. I thought the bed was very comfortable. It was very quiet in the room and we didn’t hear to many noises from other rooms. We used the gym and all of the machines were in good working order. There is also a TV in there. The continental breakfast had many options. I always like to know all of the options before hand so I am going to list them because I find it helpful. The biscuits and gravy was delicious. The bacon and eggs were not the best. The scrambled eggs were not real they may have been a powder mix. There was also salsa to put on the eggs. The hard boiled eggs were good. The bacon tasted fake. The sausage links were very good. There was also a waffle making station. There was bread(strawberry or grape jelly), two types of muffins, bagels with cream cheese. There was also a few different name brands of yogurt including Yoplait strawberry and strawberry banana yogurt. They also had white milk and chocolate milk and 4 different types of cereal(fruit loops, raisin bran, rice krispies, frosted flakes). There was also a fruit mix with melon, fresh pineapple, oranges, and grapes. There was also a bowl of fruit with oranges, apples, and bananas. The wall between the bathroom and bedroom is very thin and you can hear everything in the bathroom from the room however. The hot tub states that only 3 people are allowed at a time but most times we went down there was at least 6 people in it. 17 people are allowed in the pool at one time. Children age 16 and younger are not to be alone but we saw kids around 10 left alone while their parents went back to change. Maybe the pool area should be monitored more and rules should be enforced for safety. I do understand that there can’t be a lifeguard present at all times. We did have the pool area to ourselves for 2 hours one of the days of our stay so that was nice. The pool is definitely warmer than most of the hotels I have stayed at before. The last night there was a bandaid floating in the pool and a young child was picking bandaids off her toes in the hot tub so that was not very sanitary. There were also some very young children in the hot tub at times. The first day we were in the pool area the towels ran out so we had to grab a few towels from the gym area. Here’s my review from June 14, 2012 The hotel staff were very friendly. They set fresh baked cookies out on the Front Desk counter at night. We recieved a discount because we were staying there to be closer to the Ottawa Regional hospital for a surgery. Make sure you tell them the reason you are staying there for a discount if possible. The complmentary breakfast was good. You can have your bedsheets changed fresh everyday if you stay more than one night. The bathroom was spacious. There is a Culvers restaurant in front of the hotel which was convenient. The pool was warm and the hot tub was relaxing. There was never anyone else in the pool area when we were so we always had it to ourselves. The exercise area was small but had a treadmill. There was a small fridge that was not cold at all. I would not bring milk or yogurt or anything that could spoil easily. There is also a microwave which was nice. I thought the bed was comfortable but my sister found her bed uncomforable. Overall this hotel is sooo much better than the place we were planning to stay. We had a coupon for the Holiday Inn Express and when we went there to check it out the lobby smelled like smoke and the front desk people were rude and unhelpful and we found out the recently the pool roof collapsed into the pool and the pool wouldnt be available during our stay. Dont stay at Holiday Inn Express in Ottawa defintely stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites!

Great customer service at check-in. The room was very clean, especially the bathroom which is most important. There was a handwritten welcome note in the room, very nice touch. The pool and jacuzzi were very clean, enjoyed them both. Very nice stay… will come again!
