TJ Maxx is the best. Granted I do sometimes trick myself into buying some really cheap something that I am never really going to wear. And some of the items I have gotten there haven’t worn well. But overall, you will probably find better deals at TJ Maxx than basically any other store.

Not at all what I am used to at TJ Maxx. The mens clothing department was a barren wasteland of nothing. Almost nothing in trousers and polo shirts. I dont’ know if that is normal for the KC market, but my experiences at shopping at TJ Maxx in Florida were usually time consuming, because the racks were packed to the gills. This one is somewhat of a disappointment.

Normally, I’m not a big fan of digging for deals… I like to do the scan and grab method to get out quick. However, this TJ Maxx has some great finds and it’s set up well enough that I can scan and only dig a little. EVEN on Black Friday

Of the TJ Maxx stores I have been in across the US, this is one of the most mediocre: It is always a complete mess and the men’s selection is pitiful. The housewares section is a total shambles every time I go in and the furniture is WAY over priced (- the furniture in all of them is over priced).
The people who work there seem nice enough though you will not find anyone on the actual floor to help, ever.
I do find very interesting the fact that they have their announcements and ads in both English and Spanish. So, if I get nothing else out of the experience at this store, I can learn some Spanish.

Tj Maxx is an excellent place to buy gifts. All of my friends have at least once received a unique gift basket full of great lil goodies including food, house wares, bath, jewelry and plenty of finishings all at killer prices. I save a great deal of money buying name brand face wash, shampoo and skin care here.

This TJ Maxx is just OK. It’s not the best of the breed, to be sure. Today at 6pm, it had been pretty picked over, so perhaps it’s not the best time to do a review, after a day of craziness from ‘Black Friday’ (hate that name, btw).
The watch/​jewelry counter lady, umm, she moves verrrrry verrrry slowly, and can only do a single task at a time. Ostensibly a nice person, but it was moderately (ok, I’m being really kind) painful waiting for her to do her thing with multiple people around. I wanted to look at a watch, and, well, if I could have timed her (which I couldn’t, because she hadn’t made that happen), she would have taken a really long time. Trust me.

I LOVE TJ Maxx. I know they have TJ Maxx’s all over Kansas City, but I really like this one, and not only because it’s the closest to my house. I like it because the staff has always been really friendly to me, especially during checkout. No one tries to bother you while you are shopping, either.
TJ Maxx has a great selection of… just about everything. This is the first TJ Maxx that I’ve seen that has hair products at it as well, from shampoo to conditioner, and hair styling tools– mostly straighteners.
Their home décor department does seem a bit sparse and homely at times, but they have a great purse and clothing selection. I always come here when I want to get a nice purse at a good price. I’ve also come here to fill out my ‘professional’ wardrobe since I just started working full-​time.
