I had a family member take me here, and they described it as a local IHOP. They were right. Unfortunately, I was on vacation in Palm Springs when I went here, and when I’m on vacation, I do not like to go to mediocre restaurants on purpose. Anyway, I had ordered the New York steak and eggs and my husband got the meat omelette. Both of our meals came with pancakes, and that was nice. The pancakes were fluffy, but they were nothing special. Their potatoes lacked seasoning and were not crispy enough for my liking. They were actually quite soggy. A guest in my party ordered their steak medium well and they got it very raw. We had to send it back two times. I ordered my steak well done and it came out medium well, which was fine with me. It sucked to have to send back the steak twice, but they were very nice about it. The best part about this place was probably our server. He was very nice, attentive, and knew how to do his job well. We don’t have to bother him for refills or the check. If I were a local, I might come here because their prices are reasonable. But, as a person who only comes to Palm Springs once every few years for vacation, I would not go here again.

Service is slow and horrible. Had to walk out after being stood for 20 mins. Place is not even busy. It’s a shame really because food is nice. Pie is tasty. But one bad experience is enough. Don’t think I will be back soon. Good luck to them.

Worst service and food. The Palm Springs location is much better. My parents live in Del Web so we decided to have breakfast at the nearest Coco’s. Big mistake! It took forever to get our simple breakfast and when it finally arrived it was cold not warm, COLD. My mom had to ask for her toast and when that came, again cold. My dad’s pancakes were hard. We could all tell the food had been ready for some time before being brought to our table. None of us ate our food. The waitress just simply came picked up our plates and put down our check. My husband wrote a note on the check in front of the cashier and he didn’t even acknowledge it. We won’t be back!

Always loved Coco’s and stopped in on way to LA for breakfast. I ordered a corned beef hash breakfast in a bowl which I was totally upset with. It used the same potatoes as with any other breakfast meal and very little corned beef. This isn’t your choice. Stay away as you won’ enjoy it. Dry, meatless. Buy a regular breakfast. A can of corned beef hash is far more enjoyable.

There are many reasons why I choose to come back to cocos. More times than not, I order ToGo. Ana, always does a great job at making sure everything is included. She even remembered me from previous visits! I always order the spicy Asian chicken salad, it’s definitely a generous portion as well. If you like spicy, you’ll enjoy it. I’d highly recommend it!

Literally just had to walk out after feeling helpless for service after 20 agonizing minutes. They made us stand at the host stand for a good while before they begrudgingly took us to a table. They proceeded to bring us to a dirty table then cleaned it in front of us as we awkwardly stood there. Then we sat at the table for at least 10 minutes, absolutely no one came up to greet us. Multiple servers walked by, yet didn’t care to see if we’d been taken care of. It was shamelessly horrible. Hostess even stood there and watched as we walked out and said nothing. Pretty bad first impression. Definitely not worth a return.

So, I was greatly impressed by the menu and the prices. However, I set my expectations way too high. The service was extremely slow and it was hard to even find our waitress. Once the food finally came, my decreasing expectations just dropped. The vegetable soup was extremely salty, so if you’re ordering a veggie soup just to be «healthy» don’t order this one, it’ll probably increase your blood pressure. The chicken off the seniors menu was very rubbery and bland. The shrimp and bean salad was pretty good, but once again, if you’re ordering a salad to be healthy, don’t. It was very tasty, but only because the sauce and bathed shrimp overpowered the lettuce. However, the turkey burgers are bearable. all in all, I would never return to this Coco’s and I do not recommend it.

Average chain restaurant. Food was slow coming out. My waitress was more concerned with her smart phone. At least it was cool inside considering the triple digits outside.

I don’t recommend this place everything around is filthy. From the disgusting door handles as you enter the building to the old and withered menu’s which were dirty on the inside as well. Also notice the chair backs were dirty and when coffee was served it was in a cup that had lipstick from a previous customer. SOGROSS!!!

Hubby and I ate here, this afternoon. It was quiet inside, with just a few people dining. I had the half sandwich and salad from the 55+ menu. The salad could have been a bit fresher. The tomato on my sandwich was a bit on the mushy side. Never fear, hubby, devoured it, along with my bread.(low carb diet here). The roast beef on my sandwich was tender and tasty. Hubby had the country fried steak, and steamed veggies. He must have liked it, as it disappeared, along with the remainder of my meal. Service was ok. But this is Cocos, not the Ritz.

I go here at least once a month. Biggest recommendation is breakfast, specifically the German pancakes with water and chamomile tea. If I go for dinner, after I always order the cheesecake with strawberries or peaches. Closest to my stepmums secret family recipe!

My husband’s parents enjoy coming here so we indulge them. Service is spotty, but you can see the effort, some of the ladies really know their regulars. Daughter had the fresh banana, walnut & caramel brioche french toast — I think it over stimulated her — she ate 1 piece and stopped. MIL orders the Fit & Lively Tomato Basil Omelette — she loves it — all of the ingredients are more flavorful w/the egg whites. Hubby had the California Omelette — he ate everything on his plate to be polite — the avocados weren’t in season, I guess — they were watery. FIL had the Everyday Breakfast Special — filling and satisfying. I had the Coco’s Cinnamon Roll French Toast — good, but felt like it was just too heavy and doughy.

Take out disaster! Had used this restaurant for take out and eat-in for several years with decent results. That changed with our latest order today. Ordered spaghetti and meatballs and Spicy Asian salad with dressing on the side for pick up. Phone order was repeated back to my wife exactly as we ordered it. When I arrived to pick up the order, I was told they were giving us spaghetti and meat sauce instead, as they did not have meatballs. I said this was not mentioned when we ordered, but paid and left with the order, which was already bagged and waiting when I arrived When I unpacked the order at home, I discovered that both entrees had been put into pie boxes lined with aluminum foil instead of foam boxes. The spaghetti sauce had leaked out of the box onto everything in the bag. The spaghetti itself had hardly any sauce and was so salty my wife could not eat it. There was no salad dressing at all for my salad. I packed entire order(uneaten) and returned to Coco’s. The manager met me at the door with foam«to-go» boxes she had just picked up. I explained the many problems with order and requested my money back. Manager apologized for the problems, but had no good reply when I asked her to explain how such an order was acceptable for them to offer. Needless to say, we will not be back!

Wow! The coffee was surprisingly rich & tasty… Although, there was a momentary scare… We almost had to go with half & half {sad face}… I love Vanilla Creamer & they were saying that they were out of it… BUT, our waitress saved the day & found several for us… Yay!!! Coffee Happiness ^^ Can’t remember our server’s name but the receipt says Maria Veronica… She did a great job keeping our coffee’s hot & full & attending to our needs… Thank You! :-) The greeter was nice on the way in & out… She had a Nice smile & sat us in the next best place to where we originally wanted… she did check to see if she could accommodate us with the other booth first… Thank You! :-) The cashier/manager was soo upbeat & made a nice conclusion to our meal… She asked us to please come back & made sure we enjoyed our meal… She was so sweet & bubbly & fun! The portion was huge… can’t remember the name of the meal… I think it’s a Great American Breakfast… Something like that but it’s $ 5.99 and you get so much food I will post a picture see you can see what I chose… so much food, I had leftovers to take home. Great experience, good food, awesome coffee… I’ll be back… =)

I was there this past weekend 7 table’s walked out as they sat there ordered but never got their food. Did I say don’t waste your time? Don’t ear there find another place that will serve you. Why doesn’t someone report this to corporate? 100% Awful!!!

Surprisingly good – and at least somewhat healthful – breakfast at a place that chooses to separate itself from the long list of road-side greasy spoons. Cocos is bright and airy with menu choices that cover both the basics and some less traditional choices. Service is quick to offer and refill coffee… not the greatest brew in the world, but good enough to agree to a refill. No skim milk for coffee, a little strange for a place that seems to want to be branded is health-conscious. Highlight may have been the freshly baked blueberry muffin, but the(not drenched in oil) hash browns were a close second. Veggie omelet is big enough for two and can be ordered with egg beaters /substitute free of charge. Special age 55+ menu in back, and the restaurant seems enticing to older patrons. Lots of seemingly regular customers in the ample booths. Kitchen-side bar stools are towards the back, not the best place to sit in the house. Large parking lot out front that can accommodate any time of AM rush or passing travelers. Will def return when in the area.

Went to this restaurant because I heard they added gluten-free items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Two of us went to Coco’s just for the gluten-free pancakes and they were delicious. The restaurant was clean and the service good. We were seated right away and the staff seemed friendly. We both ordered the regular GF pancakes, which came with eggs and a choice of either two sausages or two strips of bacon with warm syrup on the side. The portion was large and we were stuffed, but there was no way we were going to leave a drop of food left on that plate, the food was that good. This was my first time at this restaurant and I will definitely be back. Next time, I’m going to try the fresh banana, walnut & caramel gluten-free pancakes.

Déjà vu. Walked into the restaurant and knew we’d been to this exact Coco’s before. The waitress even seated us at the same table. Had to be 5 years ago. Same group of 5 travelers. The food’s still good. Pies on display look fresh, as though made that morning. Yum! Restaurant and restroom spacious and clean. Multo importante to travelers. Customer service, good. Our waitress, Miriam #6009, was over worked. Looked tired, and it was morning. She served my 7-yr-old grandson first. That’s all that matters to me: that he’s fed and busy coloring his next masterpiece for my Jakey collection.
