I ordered one large and one medium pizza. When my wife arrived to pick up the order she got two medium pizzas instead. When she pointed out the error to the manager she was quit unsympathetic and defensive. She did not offer a discount, nor coupons, not anything to demonstrate an apology. She went on to say, «if you want you can wait while we bake a large pizza.» This same manager seems very impatient and at times rude on the phone when I have ordered pizzas in the past. I am «done» with Mountain Mikes in Palo Alto.

I came here with my husband and he was ordering a pizza, soda, and a cup for water. And then the lady tells him«You can have refills on your soda but if you share some with her I will charge you.» Like are you freaking serious right now? That was so rude. The whole freaking point I got a ice water was because I WANTEDICEWATER!!! ANDIF I WANTTOTAKE A SIPOUTOFHISSODAWHO F***INGCARES???

Zach the cool ass white boy that works there is definitely helpful and gets his job done, had to tip him $ 10 for excellent costumer service. I will definitely be coming back since I just moved into the area recently.

If I could give 0 stars I would. It isn’t that the pizza is bad, it is actually quite good. For years I have over looked the fact the manager is not very friendly at all. She will hang up on you if you call in and don’t say a word within a couple seconds. This happened today, so I called back and placed my order. I am part of mountain Mike’s coupon club but due to a printer malfunction I could not print out the coupon. When I asked if I could show her the coupon on my phone she refused to honor it. She was quite rude about about it. She sounds like she could care less about your business. I have eaten here for years and now I am finally fed up. Take you business elsewhere, maybe they’ll finally give up. Such a shame, because like I said before, the pizza is good, but the service is the worst.

This was the BEST pizza I have had in a while. The jalapeño poppers oozed cream cheese– flavorful but not too hot. The combo pizza(I can’t remember its name) was incredible. All ingredients seemed fresh, crust was a happy medium thickness– I prefer deep dish, my wife prefers«cracker» crust. This was great for both of us. I’ll be back.

First off I NEED to say the lady who runs the place is horrible. I can’t emphasize how bad she is!!! I asked for a small side of ranch and she wanted to charge $.50, I know it’s not much but no other place charges for a side of ranch. She’s rude and always has attitude and honestly doesn’t care about customers. All she wants is your money. I love mountain mikes but it’s worth the drive to Los altos. The older woman who runs the place is the rudest person I’ve met. She seemed annoyed as soon as our soccer team walked in the door. She was annoyed when we asked for a pitcher of water, annoyed if the kids made noise, even though the place was empty. She sat at a table playing on her ipad, glaring up at us and reprimanded one of the boys for going out the front door and then coming back in to get his mom. She advised him the door was not a toy. Really??? It felt like we had invaded her home, not a somewhat divey pizza place. We’ve been to the Mountain View Mountain Mike’s and it is so kid and sports team friendly. Never going back to the Palo Alto one, I’ll spend my $ elsewhere.

We will go 2 stars, but thats a bit of a stretch. Pizza is ok, pepperoni is kind of nasty, at. Pizza place. Buffet is, well its ok at best. Service is, well its just ok too. Nothing special, but ifs on the way.

About a month ago I ordered a small pepperoni-mushroom-black olive. When I picked it up the box was covered in greasy fingerprints, the crust was like a cracker, and the pepperoni was so overdone I could crumble it. I brought this to the attention of Mtn Mike’s corporate office thinking they would say something. Last night I called to order a half cheese /half P-M-BO. I told the owner my concerns from last time and she seemed surprised. When I arrived the pizza box was clean and the pizza was moist looking. When I got home and started to pull slices off I noticed some new issues: 1) The ‘half’ was not really half. It was about 60% cheese and 40% P-M-BO. And some of the mushrooms had been strewn onto the cheese side. This is total crap — they are in the pizza business and I’m not the first customer to order half /half. Totally careless. 2) The slices were all uneven. One slice was 5 ½″(on the crust end) and the one next to it was 2 ½″. I’m no rocket scientist but isn’t cutting a pizza into slices actually the act of making ‘portions’? How do you share a pizza when all the slices are so different in size? All this for $ 21? This is the last time I will go to this Palo Alto location. They don’t know how to make pizza. Sure, all the ingredients come through Mtn Mike’s so what’s left but to assemble, cook and cut per the customer’s order?!? They cannot even do this. I should have gone to Round Table, «The last honest pizza» What a shame.

Walked in, asked the woman at the counter if there were any single slices available. She tells me they’ve got some chicken thing she thinks, I tell her that’s alright, I was just looking for pepperoni, to which she responds with by saying NOPE, NOTHING; and turning her back whilst walking into the back. Rude as hell, didn’t spend a cent here, don’t plan to. I don’t recommend you waste your time either. Save your money for a place that values and treats their customers like they want them there.

Ordered a Cheese pizza and got the topping thrown on after — they probably precook the pizza and the topping after. The lady who runs the place is awful. its worth driving to the los altos location — they are very nice there. I will NEVER go back there.

As almost everyone has pointed out, the rudeness of the woman who owns this place is beyond belief. We happen to like their pizza, however, so it’s a question of how much abuse you can stomach along with the pizza.(Recently they have also cut the amount of pepperoni they put on to less than half of what it used to be) To understand the behavior to which we all refer, be sure to bring in one of their online coupons without telling her at the time you order the pizza. Her angry response will be «you should have told me you had a coupon ahead of time» — why? To decrease even more the amount of toppings? We are surprised the franchise allows them to use their name.

Not sure this place should call itself a Pizza Place — Great Salad Bar place with frozen pizza may be better. Too bad I didn’t check Unilocal. The dough was like PlayDough but less tasty. Expensive as well … 4 $ for«a slice» that didn’t even cover my hand — Californians just don’t have a relationship with good Pizza or this place wouldn’t even be in the Pizza business.

A solid 3 stars. Woo Hoo. Not. Well, I would have given them 4 stars, except for how cheap they are with the salad bar. My family went there for dinner tonight. Pizza was OK. The Santa Clara Cabrillo Dominos is a lot better, they actually put sauce on their pizza that you can taste in every bite. Anyway, MM’s charges $ 5.99 for a single trip to the salad bar. And they give you this little plate. And when I purchased the salad bar, the server person made a freakin’ point of specifically pointing out that it was for a single trip. Sheesh. There’s a Roundtable Pizza near where I work, and they offer *unlimited* pizza *and* salad bar for lunch, for only $ 1 more. We won’t come back. Just because of how cheap they are with the salad bar. And that’s too bad.

Last minute team celebration. Tried another place down the road where they said 3 hour wait! Where other small establishments may have stressed at 30 people converging on them at once, these folks were accommodating, welcoming and very pleasant. Food came out quickly, correct the first time, and was quite tasty. No complaints here!

I order pizza from here at least every two weeks. The owners are husband and wife. The husband knows me and is always very nice. Today only the wife was there and I usually order online so no coupon needed. This time I decided to go pick it up and forgot the coupon. She tells me that I must have the coupon to get the discount. Very disappointed.

Obviously should have checked Unilocal before ordering, ugh. While the pizza turned out fine(I’m sure they spit in it, hopefully before baking it) I almost avoided the extremely rude woman on the phone by ordering online. The online order wouldn’t go through because I was«outside the 3.5 mile radius delivery zone.» My hotel was 1.4 miles down the street… ok??? I called in and the woman I’m guessing ALL the people below me are complaining about unfortunately answered the phone. I asked her for the 13.99 pizza special coupon and she abruptly asked me if I’d have a coupon for the driver. I explained I was in a hotel and the online ordering system was broken, which didn’t require a printed out coupon. She sighed and GRACIOUSLY allowed me to continue my order. Once I was finished she told me they wouldn’t deliver because it didn’t meet their«$ 20 minimum» requirement. The pizza was 16.50 and I ordered a $ 42 liter of Pepsi(rip off), so I said«wait a sec, pretty sure it’s over 20, the pizza is…» and she loudly cut me off«I have it right in front of me, let me add it up.» *15 second* pause, «OK, it’s $ 20.45.» I guess they have a strict policy of $ 20 minimum BEFORE tax and delivery charge($ 2.50, another rip off.) She impatiently took my credit card number and told me it would be about half an hour. Delivery was very fast and the guy who delivered it was nice, and the pizza wasn’t bad. They $ 42-liter of Pepsi was a coke, and not to be «that guy» but at least ask me if Coke is OK. I told the delivery guy the lady answering the phone was extremely rude and he had obviously been through the drill before, lying to me with a «ah, thats a trainee, I’ll make sure to fix that.» Yeah right, I’m guessing it’s his wife and the owner/manager of the store. I pity that poor, poor man. This review probably comes off as whiny, but if you don’t believe me, read the stream of similar experiences below mine. Mountain Mikes is solid pizza, and its delivered fairly quickly, but customer service is pretty important when there are 5 other pizza places within a couple miles. She’s probably perpetually upset her sales are going down/they are going out of business, but maybe try a smile on the phone and not being a total witch on the phone, and see what happens to your business in the future. Could have been 3 stars with 1 taken off for the coke/pepsi deal, but this is the worst Mountain Mike’s I’ve ever experienced. Avoid and go somewhere else, don’t reward this BS.

Pizza tasted bad. Pepperoni tasted spoiled, which is hard to do with pepperoni. Yuck. Owners seemed distant and unfriendly, and the woman held a business meeting at the table behind me, and was basically loudly berating the sales guy, right behind us. Won’t be back.
