Mamita’s Pizzeria

The flavor was really good. The problem, I ordered a large (14″) and small (10″) pizza. I received one pizza that was 12″ and the other was only 8″. They don’t even have an 8″ pizza on the menu. I checked my receipt, it had the correct order.
It looks like they just automatically short you an entire pizza size of 2″.

Delicious pizza. We’re from out of town and found this place on trip advisor. We shared the meatball pizza and it was amazing. The sauce was the best I’ve ever had. The service was excellent. Expect to have a longish wait because the pizza is made fresh to order.

Pretty average, really. The sign out front says it’s real Italian style pizza, but it isn’t. The crust is too thick and doughy for Italian style pizza. And as American style pizzas go, it didn’t really have an adequate amount of toppings for the thickness of the crust.

Great place, the food is great and prices too. They have the best dough I’ve ever had. EVER. The use it for the breadsticks, pizzas and calzones and its just amazing.

We had been thinking about coming back to the place after an embarrassing experience and boy nothing changed
The server was nice however inconsistent and barely checked on us or the other table.
The food was Mildly ok with only the ranch to save my chicken club sandwich.
The overall ticket time was around 40 – 50 minutes. Completely ridiculous.
I don’t plan on coming back to this establishment any time soon.

This was OK pizza but nothing special. We tried the Greek Pizza and the Creamy Balsamic Vinaigrette looked like a gravy on top of the pizza. It made the pizza soggy as it cooled. The crust had good flavor, but needed another two minutes to get crisp, it seemed a little under done. We also got an order of wings. I guess the are cooked in the pizza oven. They had a good flavor, but were not crispy.
In all it wasn’t a bad experiance, but just underwellming.

I gave this place full rating, not something I do very much. The pizza is amazing, best pizza I’ve ever had. The garlic bread is soooo sooo good. This place is new, the staff is getting things figured but they are so great about correcting any mistakes they may make, if any. The owners are sooo super nice, always wanting the best for their customers. If you aren’t happy they aren’t happy. You don’t see that kind of dedication these days. I love how much pride they put in their food, they want you to love their food as much as they love feeding it to you.
You may see a review or two bellow about some mess ups, but I can guarantee that it is totally worth going here. The food is amazing, the owner’s are the sweetest and they will always take care of you. So overall vote, abso-​freakin-​lutely!!! Go to Mamita’s if you have the chance.

Good for takeout only since they have no AC last month or this month on my 2 visits.

I tried the chicken club wedgie which is a pizza crust folded in half with fillings inside. However, there was barely anything inside this wedgie I received and way too much ranch dressing. I did not care for it.

Try the meatball pizza! Wonderful service with high quality pizza. I can’t wait to come back.

Food is still good… but service is not so good. If they tell you your food will be ready in 30… be prepared to wait 40 – 45. The staff is also uninformed about the menu and food so don’t expect thorough answers for your questions.
They also recently messed up a whole to go order for our family. We ordered the wedgies (sandwich) which are usually delicious… but they left off ALL of the toppings. We got a phone call from Mamitas once they realized their mistake, asking us to return to get the rest of our order. We didn’t have time to return (hungry kids at home) and asked for a credit… which the manager did not want to do. She finally agreed after some heavy convincing that they ruined our dinner for the night.
When we returned to redeem our credit, there was no record of it and the manager that night was again VERY hesitant to make things right… but he finally did after some more convincing.
Also, we tried the Greek pizza. I would highly suggest to NOT order this pizza. It was probably the worst tasting pizza I have ever had.
However, I still believe this little pizza place has so much potential. The food is almost always great… when they get it right. But the staff here almost ruins the dining experience.

Someone mentioned this place to my mom and myself, and knowing its in a building where the last pizza joint stayed for about a month, we were skepitcal.
i scoped out Unilocal of course, and all the reviews said get the special chicken pizza. pizza and ranch and bacon? sign me up.
It was probably one of the top 3 «pizzas» ive had. its not really a pizza, other than the way it looks. no red sauce, no italian meats. but dang. its delicious. we polished off an entire pizza just the two of us.
they make everythign from scratch, dough sauce etc. you can tell. eat here!

This brick oven pizza is absolutely delicious. I had the award winning chicken pizza and it was by far the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Customer service was wonderful. The owners and staff went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant dining experience. The prices are very reasonable and affordable.

My coworker picked up a Pizza for three of us to share for lunch this past Friday. We ordered the XL meats pizza, and we all enjoyed it VERY much. The sauce was awesome, as was the meat toppings (that were very flavorful and a plenty) and nicely covered with yummy layer of mozzarella cheese. The crust was not a thin or a thick, somewhere in between. I am a thin crust fan, but this was very good. I will be moving this place towards the top of my pizza rotation. They are on W. 23 rd st. in the old spud nuts location.

Special chicken pizza was delicious but eat in experience was horrible. Air conditioner was either broken or they had it turned up to save money. It was extremely hot and we ended up taking our pizza home to eat in a cool environment. Did not serve regular water. Had to purchase bottled water. Food prices were reasonable.

Ate at Mamitas on their 6^th day of business and loved it. You order at the counter and your freshly prepared food is brought to your table. I had a Mamitas Classic and my wife had a Grilled Chicken Delight and they were both excellent as was the antipasto salad we shared. The table next to us had an order of garlic knots and they looked great. The pizza was superb and cheaper than inferior pizzas from the major chains. $ 6.49 for a 10″ 3 topping pizza ! I am going to have a hard time trying all the other luscious sounding items on their menu. Mamitas is sure to become one of our favorite places to eat. I fully expect them to be in the running for next year’s Best Of Bay. They were formerly located in Ridgeland SC but relocated to Panama City. SC’s loss is our gain.
