Great find! Take advantage of the few outdoor tables, for a nice view. Amazing fast service, good beer on tap! Definitely try the Parmesan baked oysters– top notch! Raw oysters were great, very fresh & shucked right at the bar.

Great oyster ever! Every time in PC we stop by here. We ordered 2 dozen oyster and fried shrimp bucket very good. Little slow service.

Well, it’s an oyster bar and they had a special on oysters so I headed here and sat at an outside table. I had a tasty beer and when I ordered the dozen oysters on special, I think my waitress was a little disappointed that I wasn’t going to have a huge inflated check. Oh well.
As for the oysters, the presentation needs some help. The ice in the plate was mostly melted, so some a couple of the oysters had sunk into the ice melt. It was served with a little plastic cup of cocktail sauce that needed a lot more zip to it though I’m sure there are people who would think it was too hot. Some places I’ve been to serve it with the ketchup and the horseradish unmixed so that you can decide how much to add on your own.
Other than being a little water wet, the oysters were mostly pretty good. Only one of the dozen had some shell in it when I ate it. So there’s that.

I’m only giving 2 stars JUST for waiters personality. Have been here 3 times before & really liked it! Always great food and quick service. Last night was inexcusable! Took forever just to get our app! What started it and gave me bad vibe from start was when we were given plastic silverware rolled in napkin like real ones would be! Really? Then when we FINALLY got food (an equally long wait after apps) mine was the smallest plate of shrimp I’ve seen for $ 15ish. I’ve had it before and I’m sure they were bigger and fresher tasting. They were on the small side and didn’t taste on point. Also you’d think after an hour they’d be steaming hot… NOPE! Cold. Then yet another Lonnng wait for ticket. He gave us a coupon for later but there will be no later. I’m done! Shoulda went to J Michaels… Their shrimp are amazing and huge! But family in town who wanted to come back here cause of a previous good visit. My husband and I wound up feeling embarrassed almost when we knew we found a new «shrimp» place, but wanted to do what our guest requested. Oh and it’s overpriced for what you’re now getting! I could cry after spending $ 100+ for crap!

Came here the first time a few nights ago instead of waiting for 2 hours at the place across the street and wasn’t disappointed. Definitely couldn’t pass up the raw oyster price. Keith kept us entertained all night and even gave us a 10% card next time we come in, which will be soon. The guy who shucked our oysters even made sure we got the smaller sized oysters we asked for. The girl working with him talked us into some crème brûlée from the shrimp boat and it was just as good as she promised.

Also known as the Salty Hawg Saloon, the Salty Hawg Oyster Bar is apparently managed by the same people as Gracie Rae Bar, where we were also ignored.
My girlfriend and I entered the place and sat at the bar, directly in front of someone shucking oysters. After sitting there looking at the bar menu for 5 – 6 minutes, with no one having spoken to us or paid us any attention, we asked the man shucking oysters how to order. He started asking other staff where «that girl» was, though he didn’t know her name. Presumably, he was referring to the waitress.
After about 9 – 10 minutes, someone came over and gave us plastic utensils but did not ask to take our order. After another 5 minutes, we got up and left. The place had available tables and did not appear overly busy, but was probably severely understaffed.
I recommend you steer clear of this place unless you like feeling ignored and insulted. Your money is better spent at any of the other dozen restaurants in this part of town that *aren’t* in this building.

Patio was seat yourself and had at least half of the tables available. After waiting 10 minutes we had to ask for service, several others had to after us too. Food was expensive and just ok. There are much better places to go to.

I had so many friends tell me about this place. I was pleased to see so many seats available outside. The family and I sat at our table for 20 minutes and nobody ever came to greet us or get our drink order. There were a bunch of servers standing around so I have no idea what the breakdown was. Needless to say, we left as the first impression was not good. I would have loved to try their oysters that they had on special but I guess I know why they are on special now.

This place is a mess. Their service is terrible, their food is subpar when you can get it. Their drinks are too expensive for what it is, oysters ok small and meeting ok, head to hunts and wait in line this place is a bust.

Love the shuckers such a fun and delicious time. While the oysters and brews were cheap the staff was so much fun I’ll be back soon xoxox

Fantastic service and food. My wife and I were out for a relaxing evening and this was the perfect spot. Great service and food. We sat at the bar and the crew was friendly and spent the evening joking with us. Highly recommend.

Omgawsh, this is definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to here in Panama City! I had the pulled pork which was handmade; purely deliciousness! The restaurant itself is cute with all the tacky decorations &the waitor we had was super friendly &helpful which is always nice (: can’t point out a flaw, highly recommended! Oh, & decent prices too!

Best seafood experience around! Light and casual atmosphere. Great food. Best oysters around! The gator tail was great! Waiter was great!!! Would definitely recommend this place.

The fun service here made all the difference in the experience. It was the Sunday before Xmas which you think would be slow, but this place was hopping with the NFL football games. The four of us enjoyed oysters from raw to parmesan baked and three cheese baked. Then they let us taste the gumbo before ordering and it was fantastic! Learned a lot about the oysters in the area from our waiter who obviously enjoyed his job! Great Fun!
