Excellent food and service. Tom was our waiter and he was very attentive. His recommendations were excellent. At our table we had the Shrimp and Ravioli, Salmon Picatta, and Osso Bucco Pork and they were all very good. We especially liked the ravioli and the pork.

Fantastic restaurant. The freshness of the seafood was very surprising. The noodles and tiramasu tasted homemade. I would absolutely recommend this for dining in a classy atmosphere. The meatball sliders are wonderful.

Man, I’m kinda bummed out about the trajectory this restaurant has taken in recent years. It used to be one of the«go-to» spots for a nice comfortable date night and the food was excellent. Haven’t been back for a bit and the first thing I noticed was that the menu prices were much higher than I recall. You must have a twofer coupon from the Park Record to sort of even out the price of the meal. So make sure you get the paper before you stop in for dinner. They have some goofy rules about where you can order food and booze and I honestly couldn’t figure them out. I wonder if they just make them up at random to keep themselves entertained. Being shoulder season as I write this, that is something Big Larry would do just for yuks. I had the bolognese which was served with pappardelle, but the pasta was clumped together paper maché style. I managed to deconstruct it but it was a chore. WAY undercooked. Yech. Others has the salmon which was OK, but the flavor was underwhelming. We had calamari and something else as apps, but it was so meeeh that I forget the other dish. Another in our party had the pizza, which was also nothing to write home about. We also had the seafood puttanesca, which we judged as definitely food, but much of the sea was missing. No desserts as we wanted to get the heck out as soon as possible. Lastly was the service. You can counter a lackadaisical kitchen staff with a great server, but this poor fellow was using a different playbook. We had to get up, go to the kitchen and ask for the pepper mill as the server completely ignored our request for the instrument over the course of ten minutes. Same drill with the Parmesan. One of our companions was so irritated that he humorously engaged other tables asking if they wanted some cheese. I laughed so hard that noodles came out my nose. I finally pulled the fellow aside and asked if his Mom had died and his attitude improved slightly. This is a Bill White property and he owns a bunch of restaurants in the city, but he is getting a bit big for his britches, I think. He is now one of the elite unreachable business owners here and it is impossible to communicate with him. This is indicative of an owner who has lost touch with his customers. Very sad.

In one word: fantastico! We were greeted warmly by David and then Sarah was the best server we could have wished for. She was attentive without hovering over us and provided the right input on the dishes and wine pairings when asked. It was perfection and we will come back next time we are in PC!

Delizioso, So glad we decided to try Ghidotti’s for dinner tonight. We are visiting from Boise, where we have yet to find Italian food of this grade . The Pork Osso Bucco was all that I had read it would be. The walnut bread pudding was excellent. My husband was thoroughly pleased with his Spaghetti and Meatballs-there were 3 good sized meatballs . Henry, our waiter, was friendly and attentive. My husband was a little surprised at the size of his martini. That’s a Utah thing and nothing to fault the restaurant for. We’ll be back.

Had dinner here multiple times both with family and alone just with my spouse. This is some fine Italian dining even for Utah. In general I wouldn’t rate this as «The Best» Italian cuisine but given it’s location and proximity to Park City/Salt Lake City, you can’t go wrong. Their veal is very good Their reduction sauce used with the veal has a perfect blend of creamy yet slightly sour flavoring and from the texture and general flavor of the veal, I would say it is very fresh and most likely locally grown/butchered. I’ve tried their parma and this is also a very solid dish. What I liked the most is that the dish is served as hot as you could get it and it seems like it literally just came off the oven. The cheese is lightly browned and bubbling when served and their sauce is rich and hearty. Another favorite dish is their classic spaghetti and meatballs. I know, an Italian staple dish and every restaurant should be able to do this at a basic level… but I would say they spend the entire day before preparing their sauce as it has an extremely sophisticated bouquet and the intensity of the spices are in competition with one another yet none pull ahead. Their meatballs are large and full of exotic herbs and seasoning. Love the blend of meat they use in their meatballs as well… Give this place a try, it will grow on you after multiple visits.

I absolutely love their Mama’s Chicken Soup, and used to go in once a week just to have it. However, the incredibly poor service just isn’t worth it anymore. We’ve had rude waiters, clueless waiters, hostesses that look annoyed to be at work; it started becoming comedic. The best is when I asked for an email of a manager to site a complaint, the hostess gave me a fake email. If you are looking for yummy soup, mediocre main courses, bad service, and a pricey bill; then this is your spot.

What has happened to Ghidotti’s? We have been faithful customers since it opened. In November we noticed some changes in service but realized that happens and shrugged it off. In January things just weren’t the same. We had friends that came into town and always enjoyed eating there. From when we walked in the charming atmosphere was gone. Here it is a Friday night, during ski season, and the place was virtually empty. The bar, which in the past would have been packed, had only one person, and no one was sitting in the lounge. We were seated by the kitchen, and in the past the doors were never open, That night they were wide open. You could hear the pots clanging and it was annoying whenever a plate was dropped. Cooks were hollering at each other, it appeared the kitchen was a total disaster. It drowned out out attempts to have conversation with our friends. When We asked if the doors could be shut we were told they needed to be kept open. The menu, which was a beautiful hard bound book, has been replaced with a one page menu that you would be given in a greasy bar on Mainstreet. We weren’t even offered a wine list. Service was okay but when I asked if I could get some fruit with whipped cream, the fruit was delivered with a small container of milk. I was told they had no whipped cream. What restaurant doesn’t have whipped cream? The quality of the food has been scaled back, which was very disappointing. Also We’re big on eating at a clean restaurant, The hallway to the bathroom had paper littered all over the floor, and one of the employees walked thru the dining area with a trash can. Unfortunately they didn’t bother to pick the trash up on the hallway floor. In the past the old manager used to greet customers and made you feel welcome, he always came by to see if you enjoyed your dinner. No one did that on Friday so we asked if he was around and were told he was no longer with the company. Now we know why it’s not the same and It’s sad to see such a great restaurant go completely downhill. Sorry Bill White but this was our third try since November and Ghidotti’s is now off our list.

Great experience ! Not too pricey for upscale restaurant. Had calamari for appetizer and the mussels. Both were very good and tasty. I had the pork osso bucco. There was about 8 people in our party. All said their dishes were good. Wine was reasonably priced. The waitress was very nice. Service was really great. All in all, a good find !

We almost didn’t come here because we found out these were the same owners as Chimayo. But we went. We asked if they served pizza and they stated they only served it in the lounge, which is first come first serve. We get there and it was just silly. There was literally a short bookcase separating the lounge from the main dining room, ie, two feet. Not sure why they have the rule about not eating pizza in the dining room but OK. The pizza and gnocchi were fine and my son enjoyed his meal. The wine was the correct temperature and we enjoyed their selections.

My first time was fabulous, but then they weren’t busy and«needed» our business. Now the second time which granted, it was a very busy night, was just ok. I asked for milk for my coffee and was told«I can’t ask the chef he’s busy», when we asked where our dessert was we were told«well, you know, it is busy right now». Honestly, that’s NOTMYPROBLEM. If your«chef» can’t handle the crowds, you should either get more help or another chef that is not so tempermental, OR don’t seat us, tell us there’s no room. I was paying full price just like everyone else and expect to get helped just like everyone else. Some milk and my long awaited dessert should not have been a problem. The food was just ok, nothing special like the first time we were there. so we won’t be going back, I don’t need to spend $ 130 for two to get average, too many other places to try.

We have been to this Italian edition of the Bill White empire a number of times and while we have had spotty service before(excellent one night and below average another) our experience on the Tuesday night of President’s week was the worst we have ever had at any restaurant. We arrived a few minutes early for our 7:15 reservation for a party of 6 and were seated within 10 minutes. They took us to the back room which must be for large groups since there were 2 parties of over 15 including many young kids. Sensing a problem we asked to move to the other room which had identical circular tables that could accommodate us but were told they were«reserved». I guess those reservations were more special than ours. We then sat, ignored, for over an hour. The bus staff were the only highlight, keeping us full of bread and water. Finally a neighboring waiter took pity on us and at least took our drink orders. When our waitress finally attended us she offered no apologies and took our order. From that point the food did come out in a fairly timely manner. We had the Antipasti and provolone frico appetizers to share. When we asked our waitress for plates(at this point we only had silver dollar size bread plates) she questioned why we needed larger plates. All we could do was laugh at that point. One in our party was vegetarian and we had been told that she could«build her own pasta» as her entrée. When she asked the waitress what the pasta and sauce options were she seemed irritated and said she could have any pasta/sauce combination she wanted. After telling her on the third try that no the don’t have linguini, ziti, elbows, etc. she politely asked the waitress if she could please tell her what options were available! Unbelievable! Then we finally had several different entrees of which the Osso bucco was the best. I realize that Park City is overcrowded and the restaurants are mobbed, especially on a holiday week, but our experience was totally unacceptable. While this restaurant has pretty could food, I wouldn’t take a chance on the service again.

Incredible atmosphere, small wine supply, and mediocre food. On day 3 of our guys ski trip, we were able to get a reservation for our group of 7. G is located about 10 minutes outside of town in a strip center. As you walk inside, it is difficult to tell you are inside a strip mall. Beautiful statutes and Italian décor. 50s/60s-era Italian music piped throughout the well-sized seating area. We sat near an enormous fireplace in the back. Our server was very friendly and recommended a blended wine that we ordered. A few minutes later, she returned and told us they were out of that particular wine. We then ordered a different wine, and a few minutes later we were told the same thing… out of that wine also. Our server double-checked the wine supply and we ended-up going with a great imported Chianti. Very tasty. I wanted to order seafood, and asked the server if she preferred the salmon or scallops. She recommended the scallops, and I thought i would give it a try. We had some bread that was served with a lemony-type butter sauce, and I swear this is the same sauce that was used on the scallops. The scallops were large, cooked just right, and tasty, but the sauce really didn’t do it for me. I did enjoy the polenta with the scallops. Others in my party thought their food was ok as well, and G was not one of their top restaurants on our trip. Our server recommended a great bar(The Cabin) that we attended the following night, but her great service couldn’t make up for the rest of the night.

Great great food place and service. We went in during the dinner rush with no reservation and get seated right away in the lounge at a great table. Our server David was so great!

I heard about Bill White’s restaurants from a local here in Park City this week. On the top of his list was Ghidotti’s. Just a few minutes from downtown, near Kimball Junction, the upscale design of Newpark Town Center is a fitting home for Ghidotti’s. Tom, our server, immediately welcomed us and throughout the meal provided exceptional service. Attentive yet not overbearing; there when you needed him; knowledgable and confident about the menu. Perfect. Now, the food. Oh, the food. Mushroom crostini for the appetizer featured the best(yes, the best) brandy cream sauce I’ve ever had. The mushrooms were browned to perfection. The crostini was crispy despite the abundance of that wonderful sauce. If the meal would have ended here, I would have gone home happy! For mains we had the classic Bolognese and the wild mushroom tortellini. In both cases the pasta was obviously house made and cooked to perfection. I thought the tortellini was beyond compare. That is until I tasted my wife’s Bolognese. We’ve been to ten cities in Italy, some of the best Italian restaurants in North America and beyond belief find the best Bolognese in Park City. No joke. If you’re coming to Park City to ski or board, consider that a bonus. Dine at Ghidotti’s and it will be the reason you return.

Our boss took us here for a holiday dinner and I was very impressed by the overall décor of this place and atmosphere… I would have given this place a 5 star overall but we came here with over 20 people and even though our waiter did a really good job for what he had available to him I blame the restaurant for not having the proper staffing for such a larger party… eventually he got some help, but we should have had at a minimum 2 waiter and busboys etc… Now onto the food… we started off with the anti pasta plates and calamari both were very good. I especially loved the olive and cheese selection. Also worked out for me and a buddy because a lot of the table didn’t like the goat cheese and the olives so we both got to eat a majority… the calamari was very fresh and the aioli dipping sauce had great flavor. A little unfortunate we had a pre fixed menu and I really wanted to try some of the things this place is known for, but I had the filet and I will tell you what it was so tender and cooked perfect! Wasn’t expecting to have an awesome steak at an Italian restaurant but was very pleased. I know I see them all the time, but I figure I am at Italian you need to order Italian. Either way a very delicious meal all the way around and super friendly staff. Just a little hint with large parties show them a little extra love and attention…

We enjoyed our dinner experience very much. Our server was so polite, friendly, and attentive. The manager even came and sat with us for a minute to tell us about all the other restaurants they offer. The food was fresh and came out quickly. Everything tonight was on point. The calamari and pesto shrimp pasta as my fav of the night. We can’t wait to come back. The jazz music also played a nice touch.

Wow…$ 5 Thursdays are amazing in the summer! We came in and enjoyed different pastas, pizzas and the amazing summer sangria. Our server was amazing and kept apologizing that there were not many gluten free options for my sister-in-law. The restaurant is large and beautifully decorated. This is a must visit on a Thursday night in the summer… there is no better deal around!
