Legacy Sports At Park City Mountain Resort

Worst customer service experience ever! Had some know it all from New Zealand tell me I didn’t know what I was talking about when asking for a specific rental and when I told him my preferences he insulted my taste and style. Now I will no longer send my groups here! Been doing this for over ten years never had such a snotty rude experience enough I had to write about it!

Good selection. Good store if you need gear while skiing PC or hooking up the kids who helmet stickers, t-​shirts etc after a day in the Mtn.

My friend bought a bottle opener here for under $ 10 a year or two ago. It’s one of those cool little souvenir things — embossed with «Park City Resort» — but when he got home he found it didn’t work. So he brought it back this year and the manager, Nicole, said they couldn’t accept a return.
The ironic part of this is that I’m looking for a Mountain Hardware or Northface jacket, which they happened to have (The Mountain Hardware) on sale for the low price of $ 280. As I’m taking it up to purchase it, Nicole was telling my friend she couldn’t do the return.
So I wonder, should I buy this jacket? It’s an OK price but not great. No. I put it back.
Congrats Nicole, I’m sure you don’t care but I imagine Vail Mountain Resorts does care. They bought Park City a few months ago. The prior management probably didn’t care about making a profit, but you just chose not making a $ 7 return and cost yourself a $ 280 purchase. This is a mistake.
There is a story about Nordstrom taking back a dress they didn’t even sell because they understood the value of the customer.
I certainly hope Vail Mountain Resorts understands this notion of the value of a customer over life as my friend and I go skiing once or twice each year with our families. Now that we understand Vail Mountain Resorts won’t take a $ 7 bottle opener back, we will plan a vacation to a different resort next year. That’s 8 people for a week that you just lost (We did Vail two years ago, Heavenly the year before and Kirkwood last year with Park city this year.)
Vail Mountain Resorts your face is Legacy Sports on the mountain in Park City with Nicole as the manager. She just cost you same store sales of roughly $ 16,000 next year. Good luck explaining that to your shareholders in the 1Q2016 conference call.
Every interaction with a organization tells you about that organization. Nicole just made it very clear Vail Mountain Resorts doesn’t value our relationship.

Their return policy’s stink! Be sure you really have what you need, because they will not bend the store policies.

Large Ski gear & souvenir shop right next to the slopes. You can find everything you would expect from these shops. Great customer service though! My wife bought a water flask there during our ski trip to PC 6 months ago. Last month I accidentally broke the lid — big trouble :) But Legacy Sports helped me to get a replacement, they sent it to us for free. Big thanks, great service!

They have great deal in that all winter sports wear is 50% off right now in
July. The staff there is not very friendly though if you have have questions about any of their merchandise. As far as selection goes they have a great offering of various outwear including Oakley. I liked how close this store was to our hotel room as well stay at Marriott Vacation Club Mountain Side. Great store they just need to hire some friendly staff, and maybe encourage them to sell their products?
