I have been going to this office for 15 years, and the last 4 years had the benefit of seeing Dr. Chen, as well as bringing in my son to her. Her bedside manner is warm and helpful and she is always good to ask about your overall health and demeanor as well. My son likes her and she has been great at fitting him in when his pediatrician is busy.
My asthma is controlled due to her careful review of my history every time I visit as well as her understanding of the industry at large. She always remembers my daily activities and schedule and inquires as to their effects on my lungs. Last year when I found my regular medication not working during intense exercise, she suggested we try a whole new drug and it has made an immense difference in my routines and health. She was also instrumental in adjusting my diet, and the changes I made resulted in ZERO illnesses for 3 years straight, when before I was ill 4 – 5 times per year.
The staff here is also helpful and extremely courteous as well, and they greet me by name even though I only come in every 4 months for checkups. I recently changed providers and made sure I can still see Dr. Chen and her staff!

Dr Chen is an outstanding physician. she has been our family allergy and asthma doctors for many years now. I have found her to be a kind, meticulous professional who spares no means in taking care of her patients. she is simply amazing. we have seen a few allergists over the years, and she is by far the best. i could not believe how much time she spends with us during our appointments. i do not think you will find another physician as patient and as thorough as her in today’s modern day obamacare medicine.
To the lady who left her the one star review. these appointments are booked months in advance, and we should all know better than trying to force our way into a physician’s office. acute asthma exacerbations can be handled by urgent care, pediatricians, or emergency rooms.

Love love love Dr. Chen. We found out about her after my daughter was hospitalized and admitted into PICU at Huntington Memorial. My daughter was a severe asthmatic w numerous hospital stays. Once my daughter started to see Dr. Chen she is now going on two years without being in the hospital! Which is something we thought would never end. She’s the best! And thank God we found her. Not to mention she’s a mother of 3 herself and can relate to motherhood and all the fun stuff that comes along w it.

Dr. Chen is AMAZING!!! I was referred to her by my pediatrician and my regular doctor when I was pregnant. I have horrible asthma and she helped me throughout my pregnancy and before while trying to get pregnant to get my asthma under control. I was afraid to take the meds my regular doctor put me on in fear of hurting my baby. Dr. Chen has several children of her own and changed my medication to the best meds, with the most research and less side affects for pregnancy. My son is totally healthy and I know it is in part to her excellent care. She also specializes in childrens allergies so if my son ever has any allergy issues I will bring him to her in a second!!! Best allergist in so cal!!!
