In Jan 2011, I was diagnosed with asthma by my general practitioner. I was given an inhaler and advised to use it when necessary.
It was not until later on in the year that I really started to use the inhaler and was almost dependent on it.
In March, 2012, I became seriously ill with congestion, constant coughing with pneumonia like symptoms. I went back to my GP and was given an antibiotic for 10 days. Nothing changed, my symptoms became worse, to the point where I could not sleep. I went back to the GP, got xrays a series of new antibiotics and again… nothing happened. I was misdiagnosed 3 times.
I finally did a lot of research and decided to see an alergy/​asthma specialist. Dr. Ho had great reviews, so I chose him.
Dr. Ho and I sat for a consultation for about 45 minutes. He asked me questions about my family history, my symptoms, what I was taking, etc.
I left with a prescription of a daily inhaler and my life is back on track. I am now able to run, hike and sleep comfortably every night.
I never knew how serious asthma was, until it hit me and almost left me hospitalized.
Dr. Ho specializes in allergy and asthma and I am grateful i found him. He’s got a wonderful bedside manner, he’s friendly, listens to your concerns but most importantly, he’ll make you feel better.
