Tilem Claire T MD

My husband and I have both been patients of Dr. Tilem for about 14 years. We have 100% confidence in her and best of all, like her as a friend. She is warm, fun, friendly, kind, compassionate, caring — but most importantly she «knows her stuff», we always had complete confidence in her. She is very well thought of in the medical community based on our «digging around». She is difficult to see «spur of the moment» if you are sick but often her nurse can help with basic information/​instructions. Dr. Tilem always told us to call (if sick) and tell the receptionist we need to talk to her but it is NOT that easy! She meant well but it never worked out that way. The office staff are not rude exactly just not friendly. We have moved out of the area now and are struggling to find a replacement for her — she is a gem, a «national treasure». We are going to miss her VERY much.

Best Dr. EVER. Really. I can talk to her about anything. You name it, she knows. And she remembers. Dr. Tilem doesn’t need my file to know what’s going on in my life.. . talking to her is like chatting w/​an old friend. A friend that knows just about anything about everything.
When I got pregnant last year (yup, totally NOT planned).. . I got a test w/​her office, and she personally called w/​the results. When I started crying, she offered for me to come in to talk to her. WHAT A RELIEF!
She isn’t your stereotypical dr., either. She wears jeans. She has long hair. She’s casual and friendly. She’s NORMAL. She talks in plain english, and you can understand her. She has patients that seem to be on their death bed — they come w/​their walkers, nurses, spouses, etc.. . and she has younger patients too.
I cannot rave enough about this amazing woman. Seriously.
On an off-​note, I don’t think she takes any new patients. .. she is ALWAYS busy, and almost always running late (she does take «walk-​in» appointments too, if in dire need).. . she tries to see as many people as possible, but never makes you feel rushed. Her nurse, Mary is amazing as well — smart, sweet and thorough! If I ever need paperwork filled out, or a prescription filled, I leave a message, and Mary takes care of me.
However, the reception staff PALES in comparison! They aren’t as professional, nor are the friendly. They all seem to HATE their jobs, and I wonder why they’re there.
Dr. Tilem and Mary are awesome, I’m glad I finally found a great dr.
