I changed physician groups from Healthcare Partners to Allied physicians and its apparent that everything has degraded, quite! This is the local«urgent care» to go to in my area(there are a few others farther away) and I have been here two times feeling startled that noone was around! The urgent care from HCP on Fair Oaks is always packed and there is always a 2 – 3 hr wait(best time to go there is around 10−11am I have found). in contrast, noone goes to this urgent care. Thats about the only good thing to it! No wait!!! The doctor that I saw, an indian doctor person named Singh. is a typical EYEAVERTING, dismissive, egotistical doctor of the sort that seems to breed and flourish at any medical facility. problem is although he’s very impressed with himself for being a doctor, he must only play one on TV because his bedside manner is atrocious and he did not thoroughly examine me nor ask any relevant questions about my health. I asked for two days off work and for the first time INMYLIFE a doctor(this doctor) said he could not possibly«release» me back to work with the condition my back was in at that time. He gave me four days off. I explained I would lose money and I could not take that much time off. He hastily replied«Ma’am, I cannot LEGALLY release you any earlier». then he rushed out because he had more important things to do. perhaps to make a phone call to work on that bugs bunny dental problem he has… or call a therapist to further investigate why he loathes himself and takes it out on other people. In my experience with every doctor I have ever had I AMTHEPERSON that asks for how long I want to be off. They do not dictate to me. They are not in my body, I AM. Anyway I was rather additionally startled by this and knew that if I ever used him again he would be as difficult as he is now. I cannot have someone giving me too much time off and not having any concern that I will lose pay. that it was his way or the highway. I have never heard any doctor speak of legal issus in regards to releasing someone early. It wasnt as though my pain and problem was that unmanageable. as it is a back problem that I tend to soon bounce back from. Then Friday came and since Id lost so much damn pay already, I wanted one more additional day. I called to get an extension to my work note which any dr. would do. This idiot wanted me to COMEINAGAININPERSON. no doubt to get more money from my insurance, before he would write an extension!!! Since I could not come in on Friday, I was told by his«staff» that I could come in on the weekend or Monday and«explain to him why I need a note to cover another day and why I couldnt come in». I walked in on Saturday to be told that the dr. «had an emergency» which I do not believe at all. I have heard the old emergency bluff before. Also the first time I deigned to venture into this shitholio establishment I called first and asked the receptionist if I could walk in. She said all the doctors WEREIN A MEETING(just as the other review commented. they are always in a meeting???) and she would call me back when they were out of the meeting to see if anyone would be there to help me with my issue. SUFFICETOSAY. SHENEVERCALLEDMEBACK! I waited for her call and decided to walk there instead of calling, to find the doors locked and a sliding gate locked over the doors! They had all abandoned the premises! The urgent care! Lmao! What a joke! Also he is rather withholding with his prescriptions. He only gave me 15 tablets of pain killers. the lowest quantity on record that any doctor has ever prescribed for me and TOTALLYUNREASONABLE and inconvenient! Like the other reviewer wrote… They take the urgent and the care out of URGENTCARE. So what else is left? The doctors insufferable arrogance and eye averting manuevers? I half expect him to be difficult when I return on Monday. .which I slightly dread, to get a note for friday. He was so entirely dismissive I truly got the sense that he thinks women are beneath his magnificent gender.

Nothing Urgent, Not Much Care I rarely give one star, but I’ll tell you my tale and let you decide if you think that rating is valid. I visited Sabella Urgent Care yesterday afternoon because my neck had become so swollen that I could barely swallow, and the swallowing felt shrapnel-ish. Three admin folks told me that«the doctor»(and by their tone, there’s one doc – and no nurses?) was not available – that he was at a meeting. So I returned the next morning when they open, 9 a.m. The receptionist tells me that the doctor won’t be in until 10:30. A bit flustered at this point, I go back to my car to sleep because I haven’t any energy to drive back up north. I call them at 10:35 a.m. They say the doctor is «at a meeting»(this is starting to smart, this meeting stuff) and won’t tell me when he might be back. At a loss, I hang up and go to my health food store up Lake where I get tea tree oil and zinc lozenges. What part of «urgent” – and even«open” – does Sabella Medical Group not get? Close your doors if you can’t serve the public, and don’t give attitude to a possible patient when clearly you’re in the wrong for not being properly staffed. And three thumbs down to Anthem for offering me only this urgent care for all of Pasadena and Altadena. I pay increased premiums so that I can buy tea tree oil instead… P. S. Tea tree oil, by the way, is a great anticeptic, great for the throat. Probably no American doctor will corroborate that, as they live and breathe pharma.
