Food quality: The grade of fish they use and fresh vegetables are better than I anticipated(I know cause my mother owned a popular sushi restaurant in beverly hills), I tried almost everything their and I liked almost everything. Their«Uni» was fresh(I’m extremely picky with uni), monk fish liver was super fresh and everything was freakin good. I’m craving right now. Shrimp tempera is very good only I personally prefer them bigger. Staff: They are very friendly, the owner, Sean, seems to take his customers satisfaction very seriously. Maintains restaurants integrity, will replace your dish if not satisfied. Jeenie, jina, and Michelle are very attentive. Bravo to a sushi spot that I didn’t know existed. Environment: Spacious, busy during peek hours, family accommodating. Good for couples but if you were trying to impress a date, it could use a little more decorating and modern color. BUT, Sean said it was in the works. So being that I’m a interior decorator/paint contractor, i might have too high of expectations. See for yourself, it’s great. Price: Definitely within my budget.

The Combo sushi rolls went up $ 1.00. Used to be $ 14.99 for two speciality rolls. However, it’s still pretty tasty(got the Super Philly Roll and Dragon Roll) and service is on point as always :)

My last time coming here. I came here a year ago and the sushi was much much better now I think their quality has deteriorated. Ordered the shrimp tempura a year ago and it was not bad. Today I got the shrimp tempura again and they decreased the amount and size of shrimp and added more imitation crab. The sushi roll was the size of my palm but filled with majority imitation crab and rice. The shrimp is unnoticeable. Why would anyone eat so much fake crab??? oishi roll also consisted more rice and batter and more cream Cheese than anything else … I’m very disappointed by the chefs.

This place is amazing. Went with a friend for the first time Wednesday night and I was so impressed. Fair prices, welcoming and attentive staff, and delicious food. What more could I hope for? I’m fairly picky about my sushi, this place is amazing.

My family and I love Yes Sushi. They are reasonably priced, the fish tastes great, and the service is good! We are there almost every week and still can’t get enough!

Mediocre sushi but sorry I won’t be coming back. Not a memorable experience and can get a better meal elsewhere. «No sushi» for me.

So far is one of the best sushi places we have been! The food is fresh, looks delicious and there is no disgusting fish smell. The place is clean and nice. Music is not too loud and the atmosphere is relaxing. We loved it. Gonna come back again.

I came here on a rainy day with my siblings for a quick lunch. The food here is alright, nothing impressive or interesting. It’s one of those«gets the job done’ places when you want sushi but are on a budget. What I did like about this place was that their rolls are buy two for $ 15.99 on the specialty menu. Their portions were fairly decent and filling. The service was fast and did well to answer all of our questions. Overall, its a pretty good place to come by for a quick fix if you are in the mood for sushi.

My girl found this place and wanted to try it and I am glad we did! HANDSDOWN best sushi in Pasadena! This place is cute and quaint and affordable! My favorite part is they have CRUSHEDICE, I love crushed ice for soda, haha. We ordered a lot of rolls and got a complimentary seaweed salad and the bill was only $ 34! I will definitely be back and the service I give an A+!

I really liked this place. The sushi is fresh, the taste is really good. I liked the atmosphere, they play good music. The prices on the sushi rolls are not so expensive. The chefs look friendly and they are really attentive. It’s a really nice place to go and sit down and catch up with someone.

Decided to check out Yes Sushi to switch it up from Ichima or Kabuki. The pricing here is very comparable to Ichima, and the quality is pretty good. I came with a group of 6, and the only complaint that I have is that two of the people in my party ordered sushi, which came out very late, while everyone else placed orders for bento boxes. After everyone’s boxes came out we asked the waitress about the status of our sushi, only to find out the order had not been put in yet. They brought us some complementary seaweed salads while the sushi was made though. Also in the billing of our party they charged us for a drink that was ordered, but never brought out. Overall Yes Sushi is a pretty good sushi restaurant, I might come again, but would definitely prefer to eat at Ichima.

I love this place. I found it on Unilocal and now it one of my favorites places. The staff is very friendly. The food is good. I like the neon board that shows what’s on special or seasonal. There buy one drink second for a penny is the best deal around and it’s everyday all the time.

omgggg dude this place is a GEM. It pretty much brought me back to life. This place was the vERY FIRSTREALSITDOWNMEAL that i had after i tried to survive EDC weekend 2015. It was Sunday night and we still had about 5 hours to drive to get back to NorCal. We needed a huge meal to get our systems going and i am very very happy that we chose this place. We were seated and asked if we wanted water or hot tea very quickly. this place has happy HOUREVERYDAYYYYY. and they have a very large menu of their specialty rolls, in which some of them are included in their happy hour specials. We ordered: –Tofu Salad: PORTION. IS. HUGE. has the delicious japanese dressing, crunchy lettuce, cabbage, soft tofu as well as ripe and juicy tomatoes –Alaska Roll: If got it because it is slathered in unagi/eel sauce. and love eel. flavorful and yummmmy. –Rainbow Roll: great and refreshing roll. good for in between bites of unagi sauce-y roll. –Salmon Sushi(nigiri): here, they skimped a bit. The salmon was a little thin, not as buttery melt in your mouth like i thought it would, but great for something that was on the happy hour menu. –Edamame & California roll were both standard and tasted just like anywhere else. Their complimentary miso soup was hot and helped with my sickness, and my friend who ordered a bento box also really liked her food. The waitress was very nice, patient and attentive, especially when I had lost my voice in Vegas and she couldnt hear a lot of what i said. All this for 3 girls and there were SOMUCHLEFTOVER. I think we each paid at most $ 20, including tax and tip. Parking is easy, as there is a private lot. So next time in the area, i will most definitely be visiting

We love sushi. We love sashimi. We just don’t eat it often because it hurts our wallets and we certainly don’t eat enough to justify AYCE sushi anymore. But what can you do when you have a fierce sushi craving that won’t go away! You just pick a random place and hope for the best. Yes Sushi looked pretty welcoming and even though it was somewhat empty when we got there, it had started to fill up by the time we left. It’s Korean owned and honestly we chose to eat here because their happy hour prices were pretty amazing. We started with our usual: salmon nigiri, shrimp nigiri, and tamago. All three were fresh and delicious and I was pretty excited about the other rolls that we ordered because if the nigiri is good, the other stuff is usually good too. We ordered the Lakers Roll, Spider Roll, Rainbow Roll, and a California Roll. The Lakers Roll was pretty bad. I mean my boyfriend only ordered it because it had the word«Lakers» in it but it was just bad. Sushi was never meant to be deep fried and smothered in teriyaki sauce. Pass for sure. The Spider Roll also did not live up to our expectations. It was just okay at best. California Roll was also forgettable but I expected that. I mean how fancy can a California Roll get? The only thing that I genuinely enjoyed was their Rainbow Roll. Beautiful to look at, fresh, and the ratio was correct. Service was somewhat slow but it was friendly. They had actually charged us for an extra roll we had ordered but didn’t get but they removed it from the bill right away. They also gave us some complimentary miso soup in the beginning too. Overall, the prices are good if you order off the happy hour menu. Not a bad sushi place but probably could be better. 3⁄5

Interesting little sushi joint! It is a rolls centric restaurant, so don’t expect super traditional. We came because we saw the pictures on Unilocal of the giant hand rolls. We ended up ordering 2 of them which apparently is unheard of because they are GIANT. Think fist size mixture of spicy tuna and crab on top of a hand roll. But that’s really all it tasted like. Uni and unagi nigiri was okay, but the sesame chicken we ordered was a tad burnt. Would come again to try their other rolls. Moderate pricing for rolls.

Yes Sushi is right across the street from Gin sushi on the corner facing the street. If you are sick of waiting in long lines, just walk across the street. Prices are decent but good is fair. I would come here if I was starving and need to eat right away. Dinner bento combo are popular but I don’t think the chicken portion they give you is a lot. I order chicken teriyaki with California rolls and the rolls were a bit small too but at least I has less rice. $ 10.95 Sashimi salad $ 13.95. Salad bowl was a decent size but the diced sashimi fish wasn’t very much either. Fish did taste fresh but it felt like there was a lot more salad than fish. Not quite the even ratio. Service was okay. They were attentive but I didn’t like that they forgot to bring the miso soup and we had to ask for it. When they came back, they brought only one bowl, when there should have brought 3. I have had better sushi experience and don’t plan on coming back.

Real wasabi is an amazing feature to have at a sushi restaurant, especially when you are one among 20 in a mile radius! Great specials. Sushi chefs are knowledgable and sweet and great portions! Happy hours… best happy hour…$ 1 large sakes !!! This is finishing up after the last visit: they have amazing Uni! And the masago presentation is art worthy. We come back every week now. Love this place
