There’s absolutely no better place in Paso or Templeton to have breakfast! Maybe even in all of California! !

We had a 30 minute wait when we walked in. I really liked the food! The potatoes were so good! It’s a very busy, small and cramped restaurant. But I liked it. The only complaint is that the service could be better. Our waitress never checked on us to see how we were doing. Overall it was good!

I don’t know how this is good service. Our waitress was awful and the food wasn’t that good. The biscuits and gravy were cold. And I didn’t want to say anything to the server Because of her rudeness. I’ve traveled all over the country and even bad places I’ve been I’ve had better service. Whether your having a bad day or not you still need to have good customer service. This waitress will never make me come back here, and the food.

Great country breakfast and comfort food atmosphere. Friendly and casual service. Looks like a popular local hangout and a destination for California natives. I had a simple three egg breakfast, over easy eggs cooked to perfection, home fries and english muffins. Bottomless coffee pours. I saw other tables with biscuits and gravy which I will order next time. I stayed at Farmhouse Motel and Joe’s was a convenient five minute walk away. The perfect start to a perfect day!

I was thoroughly impressed with Paso Robles when I visited for the first time this weekend. It was places like Joe’s place that left me with a good feeling. This is a no frills breakfast and brunch restaurant. It has the eclectic flair of eating in your grandmothers house with framed pictures from the 50’s and 60’s all over the walls. The wait staff is supposed to be known for being sassy to customers but they were incredibly nice. The food was delicious and the portions are huge so make sure you bring your appetite. We had the omelets and the home fries which were delicious. We also had the sourdough and cinnamon raisin toast which you can’t go wrong with. The prices were affordable and the wait time was very quick. There are plenty of tables and a bar where the locals eat near the kitchen. You will hear several stories between staff and customers and they have a way of making you feel at home here. One of the many charming and worthwhile places to visit while in Paso Robles.

Great breakfast burrito, the local Bergin is awesome and the coffee is ok. They can get very busy on the weekends so go during the week

Good breakfast. Nice service. We’ll stop again on our way through town Had the chicken fried steak and hash browns. Nice and crispy for both.

Great food. Really great service. It was busy and we were told 10 – 15 min wait an we were seated in about 7 – 8 minutes. That is good for a Saturday late morning breakfast.

Decent food. Chicken fried stake was good but the tritip and home fries weren’t anything special. However the coffee wasn’t free although they make it seem like that at the door and our waiter gave us two slices of tritip(2.75 per slice) even though we only ordered one but forgot after waiting they charged per slice.

We called in so we can place an order for take out and the lady was really RUDE. She told us they were very busy and it would not be fair for the people that are there waiting for a table. REALLY!!! And then tells us IF we wanted, we can come in and wait until the people in front of us, that are waiting for a table, are seated before they would even take our order. You might be having a bad day but if your going to treat people like garbage when they call in, then maybe you need to re-think your life choice of working in customer service. Because of this, I will never come to this place again, nor will I ever tell people about here, I may be just a local nobody, but I do have a lot of friends and family visit. Guess we will just drive a little farther into town to be treat like a person, rather than a virus.

If you’re in search of a traditional breakfast spot look no further; Joes is the place. Traditional fair: pancakes, omelettes, the works. Reasonably priced, friendly service, and good quality food… oh and the portion size ensures nobody leaves hungry! Recommended and would most certainly return.

First time here while visiting our son. What a great place! You can tell the owners are proud Americans. Wait staff was super nice and the food was awesome! They had a nice mix of traditional choices as well as a good amount of Mexican dishes. We will definitely be back!

A nearly perfect breakfast joint. Grab a table, or sit at the bar. Coffee is strong, staff is friendly, parking in back, dining room crowded with locals, and, ahem, some great 1950’s pin up art in the men’s room(nice choice)

Well I guess it is time to update you on the latest news from Joe’s Place in Paso Robles. I haven’t said anything new about this place in several years. Oh My! It is still good, very good. The Chili Verde Burrito I had a couple days ago was wonderful. Tender pork, and the spice is just right. Everyone with me had good home cooking that they really enjoyed. Bacon just right, and biscuits and gravy. Mmm Good. This is a a wonderful place for breakfast, or lunch. Joe knows his cooking and I know my eating. I must go here more often!

Had the eggs Benedict — good flavor but way too much sauce. Country potatoes were great. They even added bell peppers and onions. Coffee was awful — tasted like water. The customer service was good and that is always a plus!

I’ve been in twice so far, and both were in preparation for a day of wine tasting. Joe’s reminds me of home. A tried-and-true town favorite, bursting at the seams everyday with locals trying to get their breakfast fix. Honestly, I can see why. Both times I’ve been in, I’ve ordered the chilaquilles. One thing I’ll say about SLO is that the Mexican food is lacking. However, the chilaquilles here are on point and oh-so good!!! The chips are crisp with just the right amount of give from the delicious red sauce. I got mine«supreme», which comes with some meat mixed in. Very good! Service is good. Not amazing, but not horrible. You can tell they’re working their butts off with the breakfast crowd.

The same as «Joe’s Other Place» in Templeton. Good, solid breakfasts, and very convenient with the downtown crowd. We appreciate the service, the excellent selection of breakfasts items, the quality of the dishes, the cute homey environs. The prices are the same as the other place, the menu duplicates too. There are also interesting specials on the weekdays. If anything, I would wish for a better parking situation. The lot is awkward and small, but you can park on the street as well. And why the 4 stars, and not 5? Well, besides the parking, I have found a better place in town for CFS and gravy. Not that theirs is not good, it is just relative to my taste buds. So I am holding back, since my gold standard is this dish. Definitely recommended, in spite of my seeming reticence. Definitely considered to be in my «Top List» for best breakfasts for the area.
