I had breakfast 06÷13÷16 there and it was pretty good. Nice environment and the server was good. I had«the first round» It was cooked to my liking. I would definitely recommend going.

Don’t waste your time. Food is diner style, but overpriced for a diner. Service was awful. I asked for ranch dressing 3 times and never got it. It says wine bar on the outside of the building, but they didn’t have a wine list and had one red wine to offer which was disgusting. The food was average. The napkins are cheap thin dollar store napkins(by the way don’t ask for more napkins because you’ll never get them).

Best french toast on the entire planet! Same can be said for their breakfast home fries. Bacon is always cooked perfectly. There’s not a close second best breakfast place in the entire county much less Paso Robles. Never crowded which scares me. Please check these guys out and let’s keep them busy.

Really had a great late breakfast here with a friend the other day when we were in town for some wine-tasting and buying. I had the everything bagel with chive cream cheese and smoked salmon with the works on it(capers, red onion, and sliced tomatoes) and it was truly stunning to behold! Most places don’t put that much salmon on this kind of breakfast open-faced sando, but there was lots of salmon on this one! I loved every bite. My friend had an egg-white scramble with fruit and some locally made bread and she really enjoyed her breakfast as well. I also really loved the fact that they had tomato juice on the menu as way too many breakfast places don’t have tomato juice on their menus. The hostess/waitress was good enough — doing her job and nothing more. I’d come back when in town again.

First, I just wanted to say I have absolutely no idea why people are saying the service is bad here. None. Every single employee I’ve met in the several times we have eaten here, including the owners and chef, have been extremely friendly! Not only is the food great, and not terribly overpriced, but the service is phenomenal. The chef/co-owner comes out to talk and joke with you and make sure your meal is good. The wait staff is great as well! And they just started a loyalty card program, which will only make it harder to not eat there for every meal! My only disappointment is that I didn’t find this place till a year after they’d been open. If you haven’t tried Nosh, you need to. I finally decided to write my review after my third visit. The meal I had on my third visit knocked it out of the park. Nosh is situated on a corner spot a couple of blocks from the downtown park. Décor is straight up and the many women Windows allows for great people watching. The owner/Chef is very interactive with the costumers. It was packed on my last visit due to the wine festival. She still came out and checked on my meal. That is extremely important in my books because you have an opportunity to let the chef know if something is not right and shows care about the meals coming out of the kitchen. The food, I’ve had the chilaqueles with carnitas, the scramble, and the California burger with fried egg. All meals were tasty and perfect portions. The menu is extensive and creative. The service is good and attentive. I highly recommend Nosh for a great brunch while hanging out downtown

I don’t usually like to post negative reviews unless I have a terrible experience but I feel like this place has tremendous potential to be a game changer with a few adjustments mostly on service. First of all, I’ve been working in the restaurant business for 10+ years now, with seven as a server so I feel like I have a good perspective on what it takes to at least give DECENT service. I came with my girlfriend and my brother on a Sunday around 11am and there was only about four or five tables dining in at the time. It was strange to see a breakfast place so empty on a Sunday morning but we thought nothing of it since we were visiting from out of town and thought that maybe it was just typical of the area. It was not busy at all with about a two guests to one employee ratio so we thought we hit the jackpot and were gonna get a great experience, including decent service. After we got seated it only took about two minutes for one of the employees(not our server) to take our drink order, two coffees and one large orange juice. By the time he came back, we were ready to order but he just dropped off our drinks without saying anything and left. About 5 – 7 minutes later, our server came and finally took our order. There were a few interesting things on the menu, things we don’t have at standard breakfast places in LA. I ordered the stuffed carnitas eggs, my gf had the chilaquiles, my brother had the regular eggs benedict, and we ordered the frosted flakes French toast to share. Everything was decent but I felt like a lot of corners were cut, such as using chips for the chilaquiles instead of real tortillas or not having a «frosted flakes themed» French toast like I was expecting(i.e. serving it with a syrup sized cup of milk topped with frosted flakes *hint*). We got our food and the server just dropped it off and left without asking if we needed anything else. We thought that maybe she might ask us if we needed anything when she came by to see if our food was good, but i guess that was too much to ask for. When we got the total it came out to an outrageous $ 62, which wouldn’t have been much of a problem but I was once again reminded of the terrible service when I had to wave our server down for literally 30 seconds for a box which she didn’t ask if I needed when she just dropped off the check and left. When we left, the server just went to the table to get her money without as much as a «thank you for coming.» Maybe she was having a bad day but based on other reviews, bad service seems to be a common denominator at this place. Once again, I’m leaving this review in hopes that the owner will read it since I really believe that this place has incredicle potential to be a restaurant that attracts a lot of potential travelers. Good luck and hire employees that care about your restaurant please!

Good place to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner! I come from out of town and have came for both breakfast and lunch and food has been delicious! Service is ok. First time came with a group of 8 and service was good. This last time I came in with a group of 5 and the server did take a little longer. But all in all, if you want to good meal without it being crowded, i definitely recommend Nosh!

Service took forever. I ordered a burger and was asked how I wanted it cooked. I ordered medium and got super salty and well done… no pink anywhere! I couldn’t even cut the patty with my fork because it was so over cooked. When we told the server that the burger was over cooked, another person came back with a plate and said, «Who’s not eating their burger?» Seriously? You asked me how I wanted my burger cooked. If you are not willing to deal with me being unhappy, don’t ask me how I want it cooked; just serve me the burger. When they were confronted with my unhappiness, I was told next time to order it medium rare. DON’T waste your money here. This review started with two stars and ended with one.

Just ok. Upscale Dennys but higher priced. Nice decorations on the walls and looks upscale when you walk in… but then… the table items are inexpensive, super budget for sure. I thought maybe retro. grandma’s kitchen style perhaps. I eventually realized it was just a disconnect and maybe too much money spent on the build out left nothing for the dishes and accessories? Way to much food and underseasoned. It was fine, just nothing special. Breakfast Potatoes were… well, um they were potatoes, yup potatoes, but no onions or peppers or anything that you usually see when you order«breakfast potatoes’ just cut, cubed and fried potatoes. Crispy and nice but super duper plane Jane. Egg whites were… you guessed it… egg whites. Simple. Maybe add less food and season it up troops. Then again if you’re striking for the older crowd seasoning usually isn’t required. Not for us however… seaoning=yum! I ordered tea and the cup was so thick I believe it had perhaps a quarter of cup of water in there. Water is free so I don’t get that. No saucer, so no place to put your used tea bag or used spoon. Kudos for having stevia however. Whoo hooo. Love that… thanks so much! $ 30 for a bland bfast is a little high, hence the low rating. Clean the condiment holders too. Sticky salt shaker No Bueno. Details like this are important, don’t want to touch a sticky salt shaker and then pick up a piece of bread… icky. Very interesting that this is a breakfast spot but also serves wine but no dinner? A little confusing. Nothing bad, just nothing remarkable.

Went back today and am happy I can give a rare five-star rating! Service was friendly and quick. The chef Esther came out and chatted with every table before the rush. They have 2 types of Tabasco on the table and Cholula, Tapatio and Sriracha by request. Most importantly, the food was outstanding. We tried the biscuits and gravy and the chilaquiles. The buttermilk biscuit was generously topped with a beautiful homemade gravy, well seasoned with lots of pepper just like my grandmother used to make. The chilaquiles had a nice green salsa and smokey shredded pork. Topped with a drizzle of crema and crumbled cheese, it was delicious. They still serve the great small batch roasted coffee from Seattle. Great experience. I hope they will open for dinner soon, at least on the weekends.

Leaving a perfect 5 star here as well, because I am not sure which of the two location profiles Unilocal!will take down(there are duplicates). Today I had a perfect brunch. The biscuits and gravy are homemade and tasty with a peppery gravy and a fluffy buttermilk biscuit. The chilaquiles are a perfect hangover meal. Everything is scratch made. I have also had a fried egg and bacon sandwich(over hard) with yummy American cheese and good quality bread. The home fries are a huge prtion, so consider sharing if you order those.

Absolutely the best breakfast in town. Not your normal breakfast place. The combination of flavors make everything on the menu delicious. My family and I go out to breakfast twice a week. The restaurant was only about half full when we arrived. one waitress seemed very busy while several others were milling around, doing nothing. We were told by a passing waiter to wait to be seated. So we waited several minutes, before the couple seated near the exit advised us that it would take awhile probably. We waited another 10 to 15 minutes, during which some of the wait staff looked at us lazily, but none bothered to seat us. We finally got fed up and left.

I come here once a week with my boyfriend, ever since some friends brought us to Nosh a couple of months ago. The chef is really friendly, she greets and checks on the guests. The servers are great, they remember our orders are patient with my somewhat picky orders. Everyone who works there are always in a good mood, and it makes the resturaunt a pleasant place to hang out for brunch dates or small get-togethers. Every time I have been there, all of the guests around me seem happy and relaxed. My favorites are the carnitas burrito(extra verde sauce) the barbecue burger, the parfait, and Nosh has THEBEST onion rings. The resturaunt is has a really neat look, with incredible local art. I’m looking forward to introducing the resturaunt to more of my friends and family.

Tried Nosh just after opening. Great food and attentive service. Have been working my way through the menu. All of the breakfast pancakes and French toast are delicious. My favorite is the Campfire flaps.(Think S’Mores) Had the chorizo, potatoes and egg dish. Eggs are cooked anyway you like. I chose scrambled. Very delicious. I am now working on the lunch menu. The several burgers I’ve tried were wonderful. Only thing I didn’t like we’re the onion rings. Too overdone for my liking. Very busy at certain times and can be noisy but the food is so delicious it is worth the noise. Go early or in between breakfast and lunch to have a quiet meal. Love this place.

Went there Sat. for lunch. Food was good, a tad pricey, but good. However, we ordered 3 beers and were served one. Had to track down a waitress to get the other 2. Then we came in for breakfast this morning. We were seated, handed menus, and then the waitress disappeared, never to be seen again. There was ONE other occupied table. We waited 10 minutes without any service contact. Finally left, after telling the owner(?) they need to work on service. Went across the street to Panolivo and had a wonderful breakfast with great service. Won’t be going back to Nosh. If you do be prepared for extremely poor service.

I ordered the French toast, topped with banana slice. I had an excellent view to see the chefs caramelize both when plating.(Half order.) I was stuffed beyond pleasure. I enjoyed the green tea, as I waited & sat at the counter. While I waited for my order. The most charming Hostess; pointed out hooks under the counter for bags. Service seem to be slow at the counter. Yet, from my vantage point. I enjoyed the hum of the patrons chatting & enjoying their food, & the pure joy across the Chefs’ faces as the produced, some of the finest food in Paso Robles. You won’t go away hungry, dissatisfied, or broke, when you leave this very lovely NOSH.

First of all my husband and I are very excited to have a breakfast restaurant menu filled with healthy choices. I ordered the lighter side Mediterranean omelet and it was tasty with spinach, sun dried tomatoes and feta. The rye toast was super crunchy yet soft inside. I highly recommend this. My husband, the chicken fried steak official taster, ordered chicken fried steak and it was crispy. The gravy was tasty and not greasy. He would order it again. He did not think the potatoes were the best because they were too soft and not as flavorful as everything else. Coffee was rich and fresh. Great service.

I went for lunch and the tables were mostly full, which seemed like a good sign. I was seated at a table with a bench type seat close to the kitchen. The first thing that seemed a little strange is that the legs of the table were not offset at all from the table top, meaning you have to slide the table back and forth to get in and out. This isn’t a problem when the table top is empty but can be a bit tricky when it’s full of drinks and food. Again, this isn’t a big issue but seems like something that could have been planned better. Server came promptly and took a drink order in a friendly way. Then another friendly server arrived to take the food order. The turkey on the turkey melt looked and tasted a bit like the packaged turkey found in grocery stores. It wasn’t horrible but it was pretty bland. The french fries tasted all right but were on the greasy side. So the service was good and the food was mediocre. The occurrence that struck me as odd was when some of the staff congregated pretty close behind my table and started a conversation that included some f-bombs dropped at pretty high volume. I have a high tolerance for profanity so I wasn’t offended. However, it was unprofessional and I know plenty of people who would have been put off completely by something like that. Also, that type of behavior by staff makes me think at least some of the staff is inexperienced and untrained. Maybe that will improve with time. I came close to making this a two star review but that seemed too low. A 2.5 would probably be more realistic. I’ll probably try the place again and see whether my next visit results in an increase or decrease. My sincere hope is they get better with time. We need more options that are reasonably priced.

We have been anxiously awaiting the opening of this restaurant since seeing their billboard on the 101.(Incidentally, the billboard is south of Paso, facing the southbound lanes and tagged with«visit atascadero») The restaurant is definitely NOT in Atascadero. I really, really wanted to love this place, but I just don’t see any reason to go back. First, the logo is cute, but does not jive with the architecture of the building, nor the interior décor. It’s like they went to a restaurant row fire sale and just picked up a bunch of random stuff. I can’t articulate how strange the whole vibe is here. Random. but not in an Austin way, more like a hospital basement way. The chili cheese fries were inedible. Their version of chili cheese fries is a plate of fries with a blob of pasta sauce. sweet pasta sauce. sloppy joe-like sauce and a sprinkling of cheese. Ick… double ick. This coming from someone who has never met a fry she didn’t love. Until Nosh There are a handful of versions of egg benedict on the menu, falsely luring me into believing there would be an adept hand in the kitchen. Here’s the other thing. Egg was poached perfectly, but that all i can brag about. The muffin was miniature and toasted to a char. The«canadian bacon» was thin shaved and cut into very small circles. Lastly, the reason to order a benedict, the hollandaise was cold to the touch, flavorless and most likely from a mix. It lacked acidity, fluidity, and unctuous appeal of a beautifully made sauce. It was overpriced and just not good. The wait staff is very nice and makes a great attempt at being accommodating. However they are poorly trained. The menu seems to be a mystery to them and problem solve by yelling across the restaurant. It is very apparent that there was a rush to open this place without thinking through the basic tenants of creating a pleasurable dining experience. With the vast dining choices in this area, being overpriced with mediocre food isn’t a compelling reason to return.

Went back two more times… once for breakfast, had the veggie breakfast burrito which was good. Asked twice what we wanted to drink by two different servers. Not sure what system they are using, maybe they aren’t. They need to, It seems so unprofessional. Not looking nice for white table cloth service but come on. Third time went today For lunch, veggie wrap, it was ok… didn’t need dressing and mayo, herb mayo was good with the flavored, heavy spinach… won’t crave it. The fries were crave worthy, skinny crispy just needed a little salt. If you customize anything seems like they don’t always get it right. Small things they’ll probably work out over time. Especially the wait time for food, It’s been busy each time we’ve gone. They’ll figure it out.

Not the best service. We had 5 different waitresses come up to us within the first 10 minutes of us being there to take our order, then when we were finally ready a few minutes later the waitress(that said she was our actual server) was no where to be seen. It seems like they haven’t figured out how to run a restaurant yet, the staff kind seemed like they couldn’t keep up with typical Saturday morning patrons. Lastly the food was good, but not enough to justify the price.

I have been here twice since they opened. Pros: –highly diverse and interesting choices of food –plenty of wait staff who are friendly, attentive and able to quickly turnover vacated tables –delicious food(dishes tried include the nutty French toast, Frosted Flakes French Toast and the Bacon Bacon Cheese and Bacon scramble – yes that’s the name). Cons: –the second time I went here, it took my party of two people about 45 minutes for our French toast and Egg scramble dishes to arrive –it is quite noisy… acoustics are bad here The first time I went here, they warned dishes may take up to 20 minutes to prepare since everything is ‘fresh and made to order.’ Twenty minutes is fine, but 45 is unacceptable. Hire more cooks or get them to be a bit more efficient… SOMETHING! Accomplish this and they will do quite well. Will likely give them another chance… but will wait a bit so they can work these bugs out.

Not a great impression so far. This place has an identity crisis and an overall lack of flavor to the food. The cartoony logo, dinerish employee uniforms and cheap, tiny paper napkins don’t match the«trying to be upscale» interior. Two different people tried to take my drink order… twice(after I had to send the iced caramel coffee back since it just tasted like caramel flavored milk, and this was after telling me they had really strong coffee). Ordered hot coffee to avoid getting it watered down; it also had a distinct lack of flavor. Sigh. I had to get the attention of a waitress to take my order after she took an order from the person next to me and then started to walk away. The chilaquilles I ordered came with tortilla chips instead of corn tortillas the menu indicated.(I don’t know how these are usually made, but the menu should accurately reflect that.) The food had a distinct lack of flavor as well, and I had to ask for salsa. Just an underwhelming«meh.» The things above can be fixed with proper training(and better coffee). The really unfortunate thing about this place is what they chose to do with the layout. Instead of facing eaither street for a decent view or people watching, the bar area faces the back wall with a stained glass window and metal tile view. Although that’s interesting, it would improve the ambiance immensely to have a bar either along the window facing Park Street or at least facing 14th Street in stead of the back wall. I don’t know if I’m interested in coming back to try it again.

Not promising. Food was mediocre at best and service was lacking. When you have an open kitchen all eyes are on the you, the cooks. The food was pourly timed so our sandwich sat at the counter under the heat lamp for atleast 5 minutes while our wings were made. By the time we got our sandwich it was terribly dry and disappointing. The fries were cold and soggy and no dipping sauce was provided with the wings. After looking around at the other patrons, I could tell that we were not the only ones anxious to get the bill and leave. Overall quality was similar to Denny’s.

Upon my first experience there, I noted that these are definitely pros in the business. Clearly they know how to operate a restaurant from both the back and the front of the house. The staff was well trained and extremely hospitable. We were approached several times inquiring if we needed anything, offering more coffee and ensuring that we were completely satisfied. As an added courtesy, our waitress even offered us coffee to go! The food was presented well and was delicious! The Veggie Skillet was a medley of spinach, mushrooms, grilled onions, roasted peppers, tomatoes, and crispy home fries with 2 eggs. The ingredients were fresh and perfectly prepared. The potatoes nicely crisp, vegetables well seasoned and flavorful and the eggs cooked perfectly! The Healthy Way was made with 3 egg whites packed with grilled onions, spinach, mushrooms, roasted peppers and topped with ripe avocado. It was served with a choice of brown rice, mixed greens or trail mix with toast. We selected the rye toast which to my delight was nicely crisp served with butter and jams on the side. Crisp rye toast is my favorite kind and is seldom served properly, as this was. Their menu is extensive and offers a nice variety of choices. I can’t wait to try them for lunch and will definitely be a tapas customer when it’s offered! For being their first week open, I give them an A+ to come out of the gate without a hiccup on our meal. The place was packed so I’m sure they were challenged for their first weekend. My guess is that they will weather through the start up quite well and be a favorite place to go in Paso.

To start I have to give a disclaimer, this is the third day the restaurant was opened and some growing pains are to be expected while ironing out the details. Also we weren’t the easiest customers as we waited 15min for the rest of our party to arrive after being seated. While we waited the we ordered their in house made potato chips. There was a bit of a delay on the chips and they comped the chips due to the wait. Point for them! Once our food arrived we scarfed it down because of how delicious it was. We are now loyal customers here! Second point. We got to meet the owners. One of the owners is the chef who came to our table and introduced herself. Home run!
