Not the usual Outback experience. We had finished with the bread and appetizer when the waitress brought our soup and salads. Not even five minutes later she showed up with the entrees. Told us the kitchen messed up because the soup took longer than salads. We had to get her to take the bread and appetizer plates to make room and sent the salads away so our food wouldn’t get cold. We asked for steak sauce. The manager immediately came over apologizing and said he would take the salads off to make up for it. Our waitress was waiting to talk to him and then went to gossip with the table behind us. We reminded her about the steak sauce and she said she had to find some. We had to ask for every refill. All of our steaks were one step underdone.

I visited Outback for lunch today and it was great! I enjoyed a great meal and excellent service in less than an hour. I was a little skeptical about being able to get my meal and enjoy eating it before going back to work. However I shouldn’t have been concerned. From the time I entered the front door until I left, I was greeted with smiles and great customer service. Way to go!

Brought a party of seven here and every single person loved their food and had zero complaints. Our waiter was David L, and he was outstanding. Brought us drinks way before we needed them and took great care of us. He was very patient and understanding with the numerous allergy special instructions our group had and went out of his way to clarify everything between us and the cooks. This place didn’t have an allergy menu on– or offline(other than the gluten-free menu), so this was a huge help. Really not sure why this place has a 2.5 average, because the environment, service, and food were all great. Mac and cheese, mmmm!

We’ve rarely been disappointed with the steaks at Outback. That was the case this time at the Pensacola Outback. There were three of us and there was no disappointment in the food we received or the server we had helping us. The steaks were cooked perfectly and our server very professional and good. We were seated as soon as we walked in and waited almost no time at all for our server to appear to take our drink order. Timing was perfect from the appetizer to the main meal. Between was we sampled the delicious rib eye steak, amazing mac’n cheese, teriyaki filets and potatoes. Of course, that was in addition to the blooming onion which is always a requirement for us at Outback. What can I say … excellent!

Where to start… first off we had a 40 minute wait after being told it would only be 15−20mins. I can understand times varying; however, people who arrived after us where getting seated before us. We where ready to leave and go next door to Mcguires at that point. But my boyfriend went and asked to speak to management. And it turns out that another couple and us both accidently didn’t get put on the wait list. But we both had buzzers. We got seated after that and saw several empty tables. Our waitress, seemed nice at capable at first. And the manager comped the blooming onion and gave us a coupon for next time. We figured that would be the end of our problems. It wasn’t. I ordered an adult drink and the waitress brought me a different one than I ordered. And it was one I am allergic too. Salad and bread took a bit to come out but the main course took forever. And the plates where wicked hot when they got to us. Which means they had been sitting under the heat lamps. I could see cooking lines on my meat from where it over lapped on to each piece. And after all this waiting the food wasn’t very good. It was bland. Then we didn’t see our waitress for a bit and when she finally dropped the check off someone else picked the card up. And someone else brought it back. We didn’t see here again after dropping the check off. All in all it was a crummy experience and we won’t be going back any time soon.

Manager seated a party of 10 with no reservations ahead of people that had been waiting 15 minutes for a table. Then when her friends walked, she seated them immediately when they too had no reservations. This was all done and said in front of other patrons. Tactless to say the least. My husband ordered a Porterhouse steak. When it was served he received two different pieces of steak. When we told them that wasn’t a porterhouse they said«that’s the way we do it here». I ordered a sangria and after 45 minutes of waiting and then finally asking about it was served the wrong drink. Horrible service from start to finish.

Driving home to Texas after our vacation in Orlando and we decided we needed some dinner. After checking Unilocal we decided on an Irish Pub, unfortunately the line was out the door and no one wanted to wait… So, we decided on Outback since it was right next door and there were several parking places so we figured there wasn’t going to be a wait there. Had we checked Unilocal about this OB location we would have turned around and went back to the Irish Pub across the street and just waited. Walked in, greeted immediately and sat within minutes at a semi-dirty table.(It had been cleared, but not wiped down). My daughter and I made it to the bathroom and back before a server acknowledged our table. He finally walked by and advised he would be right back(he was carrying a tray of dirty dishes). Within minutes he was back and took our drink order and app order. He brought drinks and checked back several minutes later, saying he was going to check on our app, since it should have already come out. Minutes later it arrived, hot fresh and delicious(Aussie Cheese Fries). We ordered dinner, it seemed to take longer than it should but it was probably just me being very hungry. Husband ordered steak(medium plus) and loaded baked potato, both came out correct and hot. Daughter ordered steak tacos and Mac & Cheese, she said tacos were good as was the Mac/Cheese only issue was M&C was lukewarm. She didn’t care since she was starving. I ordered the Volcano Shrimp, tasted great but it was also lukewarm. Like my daughter I was starving so I didn’t want to wait for them to fix the temperature issue and just ate my meal. Drinks were consistently refilled(we drink a lot and fast). Our server was great, but we could tell he was frazzled about something. We watched the managers walk around delivering food, cleaning tables and seating guest, one female manager looked frustrated/stressed. Don’t know if there were significant issues with the front of the house but there are definitely issues with the back of the house. The kitchen staff needs to be in sync and work together so all food comes out HOT and together. There is never an excuse for lukewarm good, that’s just poor planning and laziness. We drive to Orlando a couple times a year and like to try new(non chain) restaurants along our route. We would not go out of our way to visit this OB again. Only reason I’m giving two stars was the server, otherwise it’d be one star for the lukewarm food.

I rarely leave bad reviews but I have given this place several chances. It is a steakhouse that cannot cook a steak properly. Several different occasions over a span of a year… I have asked for a Medium Rare steak and every time has either been served Blue(pretty much mooing) or super well done. Three strikes and you’re out… There are other places around town that are not a chain and know how to actually cook a steak to perfection. We won’t be back…

MYCOMMENTFROMFBANDTOOBCORPORATE: JUSTNOTICEDTHATOBDOESN’T EVENRESPONDTONEGATIVEREVIEWS, THEYOBVIOUSLYDON’T CARE, WHICHISWHATMYEXPERIENCEDEMONSTRATED. Lunched at Outback this past Sat.(9÷5÷15) We live in Cantonment so don’t get there often. Things went well till our meal was served. I was a bit disgusted by the grease soaked Aussie Fries but even more disturbed because our server never returned until another party was seated, my husband had finished his meal, and I was almost done, and she reappeared to take their order and ask if we wanted dessert. After my husband had finished eating, someone else with arms full of dirty dishes came by to clear his plates, noticed his glass was empty and offered a refill. After my fries were cold, she brought me ketchup also, Up to this point we had been unable to attract anyone else’s attention while they stood around talking to one another. FTR, I normally tip at least 20%, I left $ 2.00 and wish I had left nothing. Previous experiences have been good. Doubt we’ll go there again. There are too many other options after we’ve driven the distance we have to drive to get there.

Most recent visit was highly disappointing. Wait was about 40+ minutes. I ordered the ½ steak sandwich with salad. My sandwich was all fat, dry just yucky fat/gristle with barely even cheese on small hard plain french type roll. It was served on large not so very clean looking plate. The salad was pretty much just lettuce. Portion size was skimpy as cost size was not so much. Never recieved refills. Why is the menu mostly Taco stuff? The only thing Outback still has going for them is the blooming onion!

Not a fan of Outback. The meat is consistently bland nationwide; it’s their trademark, I guess. The side dishes are average at best. The service is always bizarre or condescending. Expensive for what you get. The ambiance in the one in P’cola is very nice, though. Doubt if I ever go back: I don’t fit in. It’s God’s will.(I bet when I go to hell, the only restaurant will be an Outback Steakhouse.)

Took a large group here for steaks and burgers. The staff was patient, organized, and did a wonderful job. The food was hot and very good. I don’t know why people are complaining? It is a chain restaurant and they do a great job for a chain. Top notch steaks at a decent price!

The service was horrible. Our drinks and food were served sporadically. The waitress rarely spoke and never smiled. We had to repeated ask for each item we needed. The quality of the food was poor. We complained to the manager, but never saw her again. Overall, it was a bad experience.

I’ve noticed the very lackluster reviews of this restaurant. Myself, I have not eaten in an Outback since 2001. We had some older gift cards and Outback is new to the lunch menu so we thought we’d give it a try. The time was just after 11, so we were seated quite quickly. Josh, our waiter, took our drink order efficiently and quickly and brought back some pumpernickel. We started with the Great Barrier trio, which consisted of ahi tuna Sashime style over a bed of lettuce, with a spicy sauce, three coconut shrimp and a sweet and sour sauce, and some tortilla chips with an avocado, crab meat, and roasted tomato salsa. This was fantastic. My wife ordered the blackened fish tacos off the lunch menu and I had the half ribeye melt. We both paired that with the potato soup. The potato soup came out before a meal and was very lackluster. When Josh came up to ask about our food, we told him so. He quickly took our dishes back to the kitchen and brought us out the chicken tortilla soup which was excellent. The entrees were both delicious Albeit, mine was a little small. All-in-all, a good dining experience for lunch and our waiter, Josh, was top notch.

I love eating here! Every time I go, my waiter is friendly and efficient. Sometimes if they’re busy, it takes a few minutes longer(just like with any restaurant), but I’m always satisfied. My soup comes out piping hot and my steak is cooked to perfection. I’ve visited many times, and plan to return many more

There are many bad reviews for this location so I wanted to pipe in. I have visited this location many times and many Outbacks throughout the nation. This location meet Outback standards. They are often busy. Service is consistently good, Food Quaility: I find the food quality above average here. There has been an occasion where I will send my steak back for not being cooked properly but that occurs at any steakhouse. But outback graciously takes care of these issues. People often complain about the toughness of their steak. But Outback main steak is a sirloin and sirloin are not known to be very tender piece of meat. So in closing if you are an Outback fan you will not be disappointed in visiting this location; it operates like any typical outback.
