So many memories here as my grandmother has lived around the corner from this location for more than 50 years. It’s not as good as it use to be considering the prices but my grandma still sends me here to get her favs and I get mine. The new red velvet cheesecake is A M A Z I N G by the way.

Very disappointed. I try to avoid«Pensaghetto» as much as possible(it is one of the most overrated places in the world), but I was there on business and decided some good Southern cafeteria food would hit the spot. Bad decision. Truthfully, I have had better food at cheap buffets. At least there you can find whatever is decent and go back for more. The gentleman in front of me wanted spaghetti, but they were out of noodles. They told him it would be a 15 minute wait. I had to wait to get served, and waited excessively long to pay for my food. When I was a kid, a trip to Piccadilly was considered something special. The food was great and the service was spot-on. Maybe there is still one somewhere, but not this one. For what I got, the food was also overpriced. I have always heard of Town and Country Plaza in Pensacola and what a great place it was supposed to be. You’ve got to be kidding. If you want good cafeteria food, its worth the hour drive to Mobile to eat at Morrison’s Cafeteria.

How this place survives is a mystery to me. It’s in the basement of a shopping center that saw its better years when Nixon was president. I happened to be on that side of town and thought I would check it out and see if it still existed, and, if so, have an early dinner. I went with the turkey and dressing and two veggies and a roll with tea. Veggies were classic southern style: salty and mushy. The turkey and dressing was bland but pretty much what I expected. All the servers were pleasant and the walls had a bright fresh coat of paint which helped the atmosphere but the carpet looked liked it hadn’t been changed since opening day in the 60’s! And that includes fifty years of stains plus gaudy colors and patterns! The cost for this trip down memory lane was $ 10, so it’s easy to see why a big eater, who likes this type of food, would opt for an AYCE buffet. I hope it can continue for sentimental reasons but its demise wouldn’t be a great loss to the area dining scene.

Hahaha… So visiting Pensacola for the day I saw a sign for Piccadilly, and it immediately threw me through a loop to my childhood sunday cafeteria lunches with the grandparents in Oklahoma. I should have kept those memories to myself. This was awful. #1 its in a basement #2 I was offered weed and meth by a man in the parking lot #3 food was bland, dry, and very poorly cooked. Sorry Piccadilly– you’re still amazing in my memories, and that’s where you shall stay.
