Coleman Catering

I picked Josiah based on his Unilocal reviews and am so glad I did. He catered my husband’s 80^th birthday party at an assisted living facility yesterday and my only regret is that he didn’t give me business cards to hand out. Everyone wanted to know where the food, and especially the bread, came from. The Caesar salad was the freshest I’ve ever had and all the food was delicious. I was happy to learn that he’s now got a restaurantiin Groton so I won’t have to have a function to cater to take advantage of his excellent fare.

I don’t think I could speak highly enough about working with Josiah and Coleman Catering!
We called Coleman up last minute when we needed food for 25 people for a production. Josiah dealt with me asking a tremendous amount of questions, went over the menu with me a few times, and allowed me the flexibility to check in with my producers and call him back with the final order.
We were calling less than 24 hours in advance so I knew there might be a limit to what we could order but Coleman Catering had a large array of options of dishes we could choose from in a short amount of time.
Josiah talked through dietary restrictions with me that some of our crew had, and recommended dishes he thought would go well together.
Since I don’t have enough experience ordering for large groups I was worried we hadn’t ordered enough. Josiah ensured me we had and that he had never had complaints about the amount of food ordered and he was right! The amount felt just right, with some leftover.
Our production LOVED the food. It was hot, filling, seasoned/​cooked very well, and varied. We ordered steak tips, chicken tips, roasted veggies (only thing that surprised me because I thought it was a platter and not cut up, but it was still delicious), veggie rice pilaf, salad, roasted potatoes. Cookies for dessert were a HIT.
I would absolutely recommend using Coleman Catering in the capacity that I did, for a large family style meal for a big group of people. I can’t say enough how grateful I am to have found this company. It was just easy, seamless, delicious.

Used many times for lunches down in Burlington MA. Food is always fabulous. Sandwiches, tacos, Chinese was all great. But my favorite is the BBQ. Highly recommend the ribs, the pulled pork, chicken, kebabs and also all the awesome salads and deserts! Loved the clam chowder too!
Very quick to respond to all communications and delivery has always been right on time. You won’t find a better caterer!

I used Coleman Catering this past Sunday for my daughter’s day-​after wedding brunch for 100+ people, held in a pavilion at NARA Park in Acton, MA. I have only the highest compliments and rave reviews for everything about the company; I used the drop-​off service with a fairly extensive menu including fruit kabobs, fruit/​yogurt parfaits, lox and bagels, muffins and scones, two kinds of breakfast sandwiches (GONE in a flash — soooo good!), fresh O.J., coffee/​tea/​water. The food was delicious, prepared and packaged well, came with disposable warming trays for the sandwiches, ice trays for the yogurt and fruit, hot beverages were hot and cold ones were cold, breads nicely served on large plastic platters — the whole event was wonderful and worry-​free for me. Josiah was extremely accommodating and endlessly helpful to me in terms of figuring out amounts with an ever-​changing guest list; he arrived and set up everything efficiently and attractively, which left me free to enjoy the event and visit with my guests. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Josiah and staff did an incredible job for our recent family reunion/​memorial celebration in Littleton. Food was wonderful and he was a delight to work with, especially since all arrangements had to be made long distance. He is thoughtful and was respectful of the environment we were trying to create for a memorial celebration. I whole-​heartedly recommend him.

Coleman Catering was amazing, I work at a community College and hired Josiah as an outside vendor for an event I was holding on campus. The lines of communication were always open and his response time for all of my silly questions was prompt. The food was great, grilled chicken tips, spinach and Feta lasagna (for the vegetarians) and assorted deserts. I had 120 guests and there was not one person that did not compliment me on the quality & taste of the food. I owe it all to Josiah Coleman of Coleman Catering, The event was a huge success in part to the food being so wonderful. Josiah went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect on his end, and in return made my life easier. I will definitely use Coleman Catering again in the future.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Coleman Catering! They are so easy to work with and really take the time to help you in any way that they can. They are professional, have excellent time management and communication skills. Any time I had a question, Josiah was always able to make time to answer them. I will definitely be using their services in the future.

I could not be happier. Communication and design of the menu is very easy. Delivery was on time, and the food was amazing. Prices are very reasonable and I would definitely use them again.

Coleman catering made delicious jerk chicken and steak skewers for my anniversary party. All our guests raved about them! The chocolate cupcakes were out of this world and the owner Josiah even made me special confetti cupcakes that were also delicious! Josiah was easy to communicate with through email and was on time and very professional setting everything up! We will definitely be using Coleman again!

Short Summary: Josiah’s food and service are amazing. His culinary skills are only exceeded by his professionalism and compassion.
Longer story:
When my wife’s father passed away, we chose Coleman Catering for the after service get together at the church. It was obviously a very tough time for us, and Josiah handled it with absolute grace and aplomb. Things changed a bit along the way, and he made himself completely available to us to talk over the menu and help us make decisions. He helped us better tweak the menu to serve our guests — it’s a good thing too — had we just went ahead we would have had WAY too much left over.
During the service, I had many people come up and mention how good the food was.
When I went to go point him out to a few people, I realized that he had dropped the food off, made sure we were ok, and then snuck out, thus giving us our family time — not wanting to make that night about anything other than my father-​in-​law. Was just so impressed with how he handled everything.
I’ve glossed over the food a bit, but the food is fantastic. People were fighting to take some of the food home — his wings in particular. The lemonade he made was fantastic, as were the salads /​salad dressings. The presentation on everything was top-​notch. Everything that’s served is served with ‘purpose’.
He will absolutely work with you to cater (HA!) to whatever you’re looking for. Do NOT have an event catered without at least talking to him first.
Would absolutely, positively use him again — would not go anywhere else!

My company uses Coleman Catering on a weekly basis and everything, absolutely everything, we’ve ordered has been absolutely delicious. Eggplant Parm, BBQ ribs, Steak tips, Fish Tacos, baked goods, etc.
Also, Josiah is a pleasure to work with. He is open to suggestions or can take the ball and run with it if you give him the leeway to do so.

Hands down the best clam bake in the Boston area! I will definitely call them again. Thank you Josiah!
