It’s an overall ok joint Quick but lack of lunch meat on the hoagie hit or miss getting a stale roll. $ 7 overpriced for what you’re getting.

Only place I know where you can get a good hoagie in less than five minutes. Small corner shop that’s been around forever and rightfully so. They’re good, the prices are reasonable, and they’re fast. What more could you want?

Red’s Hoagies is a small corner shop in South Philly which makes acceptable hoagies and breakfast sandwiches. It’s been there forever, as the sign brags. For a quick bite, Red’s hits the spot. No, their hoagies are not on par with, say Chickie’s, Ricci’s or even Rooney’s, but they’re cheap(under 6 bucks) and far superior to Wawa and even those of the pizza spots. They’re pretty convenient too. I appreciate that they have a website with a full menu. Just give a quick call and 5 minutes later, you got a hoagie in your hands. Can’t argue with that! The shop itself leaves a bit to be desired. No, I don’t need to be getting my food from the Ritz, but still, a clean floor would be nice. Still, the counter folks are nice as could be, and there’s never a wait, so it’s all good. Red’s is aight.
