Cozy seating. Not much in the way of privacy, but peaceful and quiet, with folks keeping to themselves.

Ok obvi normally I’d dgaf about writing a review for Starbucks. but not this time my fellow Unilocalers. I thought this was the swanky flagship Rittenhouse Starbucks so my Mayur C. and I went Sunday to try the new fraps. We got a venti and asked if he could split it in two. Literally nbd. First the cashier was like uh… and then the barista came over and was like uhh… I thought they were about to be like«LOLJKOFCOURSEWECAN» but nope. So awkward. Then I wanted to buy a mug they were featuring at the cashier but didn’t have with all the other merch so I asked her if they had some in the back. *Que fiasco* She didn’t know how much it is, neither did the barista, the manager was MIA. Meanwhile a line was forming behind me and she kicked me out of line at which point I was like yoo bye felicia, I’ll get this at the other non swanky Starbucks. Finally after we got our TWO cups(barista was not having it. and FYI he refused to do the splitting of the cups for us so strange) she called me back over to buy the darn cup. Wow what an experience… and not in a good way.

This is the best coffee ever I highly recommend it. The baristas are what keeps me going.

My last day in Philly and what better way to spend a beautiful, sunny morning at this cozy spot on the corner of 18th and Spruce. A clean, organized café with friendly baristas. Even the restroom was decently clean. I ordered a skinny mocha and egg muffin – enjoyed the moment savoring my meal. I’ll be sure to return to this particular Starbucks when I visit Philly next time.

Lived in a few states been to a lot of coffee shops but there is just a good feeling about that spot. I contribute the good reviews due to two things: 1) excellent décor and lighting 2) sharp quick staff probably due to a good manager.

Coolest Starbucks I’ve ever been in. $ 5 for a coffee is a small price to pay for the super laid back hipster Mac Book ambience going in this Java house.

I try not to be a Starbucks snob, but this location is probably the best one I’ve been to in the city. Ample room, nice ambiance, very friendly staff.

I have been to this place a couple of times. It could be better. Pros: –there are alot of tables and couches –it closes later than usual coffee places, closes at 10pm –conveniently located close to Rittenhouse. –friendly staff Cons: –the quality of drinks produced by the varied baristas are inconsistent. Had to get my chai fixed twice and it still tasted mostly of water with a hint of Chai.

Granted this is a chain and the whole point of having a chain enterprise is for the flavors to be the same no matter where you go, and that’s one of the reasons I love Starbucks so much– consistency. But this Starbucks, and I have visited many Starbucks all over the world and consider myself somewhat of a Starbucks snob, is the best Starbucks I have ever visited(and now consistently visit though it is not the closest one to me at all). They are extremely knowledgeable and patient and friendly. In addition to that, the general ambiance and interior design is my favorite style of all the shops I’ve been to. Kudos Starbucks rittenhouse, you got 5 stars from me!

Hey, maybe you should have two baristas instead of one. This is a busy location and watching many drinks being made and not in the order they were given is really annoying. I’m a patient person but inefficiency is inexcusable.

I’ll be honest — I prefer local coffee shops to chain ones, but sometimes, Starbucks is just so darn convenient. This particular location is pretty awesome. They have ample seating for people who want to read and/or study, including a long farm table, which is cool if you don’t mind bumping elbows with the person next to you. They also cater to the soccer-mom type, strollers and all. The staff is friendly and I never have to wait super long for my order. Probably one of the best Starbucks in the city.

Decent S-Bucks. Compared to the 5 other Starbucks within a few blocks that I can think of off the top of my head, this one is far superior in its efficiency, which is probably because it’s the most«off the beaten path.» It’s usually not stuffed with people, so you can actually sit if you feel like it, which I appreciate. One thing that baffles me is that even when it’s not busy, the baristas ask your name and write it on the cup, but then call out the drinks being ready by the name of the drink, so I’m always awkwardly hovering, not knowing whether I should be listening for my name or for a shortened version of the name of the drink I just ordered(and might have forgotten?). But, spot on job otherwise, Starbucks on 18th and Spruce.

I love this Starbucks and that’s coming from a chick who said«F U Starbucks!» a few years ago because I thought they were such a rip. I still feel like they are a rip but I will gladly pay for the spectacular service I receive every single time I come to this particular Starbucks(and I’ve been coming for well over a year). I honestly receive better customer service here then I have at some of the best restaurants in the city. Everyone is quick, FRIENDLY, POLITE, and the place is always clean. I have also noticed that there isn’t much turnover which I’m sure is a rarity in the coffee business. Shout outs to: The guy with the curly hair and glasses who works on the weekends– He is very fast and always asks people how they are and says it in a way that he actually cares. Skillzzzz The little chick with the glasses on the weekends — she is also quick and is very nice and knows what the regulars drink. The little chick with the short red hair who works during the week — she is always brings her A-game and is also very nice. Love this place!

The first ingredient in their«classic coffee cake» is sugar. Classic? Hmpf. I wish they would post the ingredients to their other items. Their service and coffee are consistent and that has merit. While AT&T and Starbucks have partnered to bring wifi to their customers, it appears to be slower, consistently, than a dial up modem.

Internet works! Yippie! I went to another Starbucks location nearby, bought my iced coffee, and took out my laptop to get a little work done. My Macbook displayed the little exclamation point on the wifi signal — no internet. BURN! So, I walked over to this Starbucks with my iced coffee. Yes, rather annoying, but I can’t get work done at home! The internet worked and I was happy. I had a friend meeting me so we just met at this location instead. The design of this Starbucks is nice. It’s a new location so some of the features are different at this location. The bathrooms were clean and the staff seemed friendly. One star off for it being so busy all of the time!

Perfect location, just a 15 second walk to Rittenhouse Square. The set up is good, with comfy chairs lined up along the windows and a communal table in the back. Taking down one star because there are too few plugs at the communal table — the seat to plug ratio is probably 3:1. Like some of the other sbux in the city, this joint can sometimes be over air conditioned or under heated so it can get chilly. Layer if in doubt!
