It’s become an annual tradition for a locally based friend and I to have a meal here, and so I returned again within the past couple of days. Really enjoy the offbeat local vibe of this moderately sized restaurant and emphasis on fresh, organic and mostly vegetarian fare.
This year’s entrée for me was a hearty egg and cheese burrito with potatoes also mixed in, minus the bacon that is advertised with it on the menu. That type of sandwich is a frequent on-the-go item of choice for me from coffee shops and other «fast casual» type places. I wish they all could take lessons from this restaurant, as their version was truly a burrito and offered generous sizing and seemingly endless taste.
This place’s drinks are always high quality, from what I can tell, whether it is my recent mocha chai, a past smoothie, or other items on the menu.

We had brunch here and it was it was good but not great. I love their décor, it has a very hipster/retro feel. The outdoor seating is lovely and great for people with dogs. (Or if you’re like me and love to pet everyone’s dogs)
I got a latte which came in a huge mug, which was pretty cute. However, it wasn’t very good — just okay. I also got the pumpkin pancakes special with over easy eggs, and turkey sausage. The pumpkin pancakes were not as pumpkin flavored as I expected — they honestly just tasted like cinnamon. But the syrup was so amazing that it totally made up for it. The eggs weren’t over easy, they were over hard but they were fine. The turkey sausage was bland, I ended up dipping them in ketchup.
It was overall okay, but I wouldn’t come back again unless someone else wanted to.

Honeymoon Café is a cute place to have a healthy breakfast. I ordered the chilaquiles, and the flavors were all there, and the pork was delicious and moist. The tortillas were soft, though I’m used to them being crunchy. There’s outdoor seating where you can enjoy the ocean breeze. And it’s dog friendly!
Though the portions are small, you will still leave satisfied. The food is good, but if you want something heartier (or someplace less expensive), then you should check out the other restaurants in the area.

Great food! Carnitas chillequillas was the best at the table. Service could have been a little better but the food made up for it! Great outdoor seating area and dog friendly.
