Service was okay. Location is clean. The parking lot is a mess though. The food was a solid«meh.» The fried rice used way too much soy sauce and the rice was some what mushy. Shrimp toast was okay and fairly crispy. The egg roll was the best part of the meal and I’m guessing those are purchased in bulk and simply fried instead of being freshly made. The chicken and snow peas had more zucchini than snow peas, although the chicken appeared to be white meat and was tender. Not dry at all.

I gave this place another shot and like the first time, nothing changed. I got General Tos again, just this time I asked for extra sauce because last time everything was so dry. Flavorless. Fast delivery though.

Wong’s is your average Chinese-American food. The lunch menu is favorably priced with most entrees listed under $ 7 and coming with rice and side(soup or egg roll). The service and delivery are exceptionally fast.

Compared to every other Chinese take out restaurant on Long Island, this place is very good. Food is always fresh, not to greasy/oily. They offer additional fresh Chinese vegetables which you cannot find at other take out places on a regular basis(Chinese Broccoli, Bok-choy etc…) Overall good food; the help is nice too.

It all depends on your expectations. If you are expecting gourmet food or the type of authentic food you get in Flushing you will be sorely disappointed. However, if you understand that this is a local take out place, mostly dumbed down to American taste, then you will enjoy the food. When we want take out Chinese this is the place we always order from. Delivery is reliable.

I ordered from here a lot when I first moved to the area 8 years ago. I’ve noticed a decrease in quality on the traditional dishes over the years. I do recommend ordering their yummy wonton soup and dumplings are pretty good!

Went for lunch and had Chicken with Broccoli with brown rice. The lunch special portion was generous. However, the food was good but not great. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly.

Terrible… Wontons and dumplings barely contain any meat. Essentially i paid 9 dollars for dough. I feel taken advantage of.

You would think with the abundance of chineese restaurants in the plainview area it would be easy to find good chineese food… I had not been to this restaurant in over 10 years(and probably a different staff) I decided to give it a try. The soup was excellent ! I has the hot and sour. It was perfect, I also sampled a taste of the wanton which was also very good. The order of fried dumplings was very good as well. When it came to the main course I tried the sweet and sour chicken, RP lomein and happy family. All 3 dishes were good, but nothing that really knocked my sox off. I would recommend Wong’s Noodle Town.

I’ve been ordering from wongs for over 5 years now. Tonight will be the last night I will ever order from this place. It pains me to think people don’t care about the food they make. $ 8.95 for a Cantonese chow mein that had just noodles I could count on my fingers how many shrimp, beef, veggies or chicken it had. Why can’t there be any authentic Chinese food in plainview? I mean I’ve had great Chinese food for a whole lot cheaper and better quality. I know the rent in this place is high but c’mon it’s an insult to Chinese food I read every piece of review on here about this place but other than the chicken wings what’s really good here. The food is bland and it’s horrible and it’s a huge injustice to the local residents. Please I would appreciate more people writing better reviews about this place than how awesome it is I’ve been a patron for five plus years

I have had Wong’s before in the past and remember it being okay. I decided to order take out at work yesterday and Wong’s is the closest to my job. Called in a delivery order and got shrimp with mushrooms special and the crab cheese wontons. Delivery was quick and the food was pretty good! I liked the wontons so much I didn’t want to share any with my coworkers. The lunch portion was quite big and lasted me two meals. If you are looking for some good chinese takeout, this place definitely hits the spot.

My family was recommended to go here by a few friends in the neighborhood. There is no shortage of Chinese restaurants on Long Island, and while the flavors from each restaurant are rather similar you can always tell a difference between freshness and service. We got delivery from here a week ago. We liked the menu because it offered your usual Chinese food, but different ways. For instance there was like 8 different dumpling dishes. We could not decide so we went with a regular steamed pork one. We got other soups, chicken dishes, and appetizers. We felt everything was tasty and very fresh. Way more fresh then some other places in the area. We also had the food delivered within 20 minutes of ordering it. Love that fast service. Excited to try more off the menu.

There are a lot of Chinese places in plainview, perhaps more than any other town, but we always go to Wongs. The soups are so good. It’s been mentioned before, but the roast pork wonton noodle soup is heavenly and warms you up on a chilly day. They have really good wonton soup too. Wontons are homemade not the usually heavy doughy wontons. Chicken is good, sauce is good. Everything is excellent for a little takeout Chinese place. Also, the people there are friendly and know their customers. It’s not like everyone is angry and telling at each other like in some other local takeouts. Now, go enjoy some soup!

I got lunch today and ordered the broccoli with bean curd and garlic sauce. The sauce was drowning in oil, and very bland. The broccoli was over cooked. I ordered the steamed veggie dumplings which were basically doughy heavy pockets filled with cabbage. Very bland but sort of typical and edible if I had no other choice. The cold sesame noodles were okay. The sauce gloppy and sweet, but okay if you get the sauce on the side.

WOW! I had never had such bad Chinese food in my life! I work around the area, figure to try this place because of the good reviews. I ordered beef chow Feng, it was the worse I ever tasted. It has no taste and the noodles stick together. I think the Chinese food on Mars taste better than this place. Go somewhere else!

For being so far away from the city, I wasn’t sure about finding some good Chinese food in the ‘burbs. Wong’s is a decent take-out spot. They do have a few small tables and countertop spots if you really want to eat and run, but they’re not set up for formal dining. I’ve had the cold noodle w/sesame sauce appetizer(spicy), which reminded me of udon with a peanut sauce, but I really like their soups. It definitely hits the spot when the weather is brisk. The house special wonton soup and seafood soup were good. Glass noodles for me. You get a nice portion for the price, so dishes can be shared. I just can’t choose one thing… it must be that cafeteria combo mentality… so I end up ordering more food than needed. This generally equates to a menu item can feed one athlete in training, or a decent meal for your average couple, or a week of lunches for a sorority house.

Overall the place was good. Its a very small place… they do have some tables but they are basically a take out or delivery place. Their prices are decent too so its a good spot for quick cheapish bite

This review is for takeout only. My coworkers and I were recently in search of a new Chinese place to order from. Our previous one had a ridiculous order minimum and the food had become mediocre. After a quick Unilocal search, we found Wong’s Noodle Town. We quickly pulled up their menu online and were impressed with what they had to offer. We all decided we need the Roasted Duck Wonton Soup in our lives. Along with that, we ordered the chicken & shrimp combo and chicken with cashews. The delivery arrived pretty quick. We quickly began to unpack the food and noticed you do the soup yourself, meaning there was a bowl of duck, veggies, and wontons, then a container of soup. We loved the idea of this since it allowed us to control how much or how little we wanted of each particular component. The duck was amazing! Not fatty whatsoever and full of flavor. Even the chicken broth and wontons on their own were great. The shrimp was extremely fresh and the chicken was perfectly cooked. Their brown rice is actual brown rice and not white rice drenched in soy sauce. The eggrolls were also very good and I’m normally not a fan of them. And of course, fortune cookies to top it all off. We will definitely be ordering from Wong’s again!

I would have to say out of all the Chinese food places I have tried this is the BEST next to fortune wheel in Levittown. This is more of a takeout place but they do offer a few tables to eat at, no waiter service. The steamed pork dumplings are fantastic and always the start to my meal. One of my favorite things to order is the Roast duck wonton noodle soups with glass noodles. The favor of the duck is always spot on and flavors the broth perfectly. Also very good is the generals tso’s chicken but the noodle soup is extraordinary.
