Had dinner here with a friend the other night. As usual, everything was great. The staff is always friendly. The breakfast items are some of my favorite!

Coconut cream pie like my grandma used to make. It’s truly heavenly. I once went there and just ate that for lunch since the pieces are so large that I wouldn’t have had room for dessert if I’d eaten anything else first. Sometimes you’ve just got to treat yourself! Angela’s is also an excellent place for brunch. Staff is friendly. The omelettes are delicious. The pancakes are too, but — just be warned — they are enormous! Love the historic diner feel and ambience. Great location in old downtown Plano.

Small location but was seated quickly. Mimosa prices are good for Sunday brunch. Food was a little better than average. Price didn’t match quality. Good if you are in the area, not for a special trip.

Good little secret! We came after basketball and was served fast. Good service. Great portions. I had the egg salad sandwich and it had a great mixture of mustard and mayo. My kid had pancakes– and they were huge!

I have to say. This place has grown on me. Their chicken and waffles are great. I tried their chicken fried chicken with mash potatoes today. Absolute perfection is all I can really say. The gravy mixed with the potatoes and chicken was just a little taste of heaven. I also had a chance to try the bread pudding. Get it. Trust me. The pecans were toasted to the right Carmel toffee Unami bliss.

Twice we have been here. Twice we have ordered appetizers and twice have gotten them after the entrees served. Both times we have ordered sandwiches that had to be sent back. I am sure they can do better. We will try it again even if it for appetizers and great live music.

Great atmosphere and friendly wait staff. We have to try this place again. The food had a vinegar taste/odor that was kinda strong(or I think it’s vinegar). I had the chick fried steak with hash browns and eggs.

Perfect for brunches. Especially with the $ 2 mimosas. They also have something called a manmosa– delicious and lethal! You cant taste the whisky and vodka, but it’s there!

This is our go to Sunday brunch. Avoid the busy chain restaurants. Me and my boyfriend love this place. The staff is very attentive. The food is well portioned and exceeding delicious. Just a small joint tucked into downtown plano. They’ve got a full bar too ;) of course we’ll be back and we can highly recommend this place.

Brunching at Angela’s was my first experience and Ms. Ann made it worth it. The food was great and it was peaceful amongst myself and the hubby coming in as a first time experience. I would say the only thing that kept this establishment from getting 5 stars was the nets that was constantly getting at myself and the hubby. It was like i didn’t want to keep swatting at them, but it was a bother that kept distracting myself from the great presentation of food and the casual talk that we did enjoy with Ms. Ann. Eggs benedict and flap Jack’s for my hunni which he definitely enjoyed to the last drop.

First time and Angela’s scored a home run. Excellent bakery(think HUGE cinnamon rolls), eggs Benedict, and quiche for a Saturday brunch. Saw cannolis and homemade ice cream but was so stuffed! Excellent coffee too.

We were freshly in from the airport… tired, hungry, and I wanted a big, huge salad. I meandered over to Angela’s for lunch and was greeted by a friendly hostess and a friendly server. In fact, everybody I encountered was incredibly friendly and smiley. I liked it. I ordered the ahi tuna salad. The first time it came out, the lettuce was wilted and not particularly appealing. The waitress had it switched out for me pretty quickly. No biggy. The ahi was cooked more than I would have liked, but the wasabi dressing was delicious and the meal, although nothing spectacularly gourmet, was exactly what I wanted and totally hit the spot. If you’re looking for a casual, relaxed lunch in a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, I’d recommend Angela’s.

Food was okay, but wow do they need to hire some employees who want to work. We walked in at about 3:10 pm on a Sunday and upon finally having someone come up to seat us(sign said«wait,» we did) were tersely told by a clearly irritated teenager that they closed at 4. We said fine, we will eat fast and make sure to not be a problem. After being seated among several other customers at tables we waited a good 10 – 15 minutes for anyone to come take our order. If you are in such a big hurry then lets get the food order into the kitchen. And we had to prompt the waiter to go ahead and take our food order rather than just the drink order. We again, said we appreciated they were closing soon and would get out of there quickly(basically apologizing for being there — kind of ridiculous). Well we had to go to the bar and get the drinks — we could see they were made — but just sitting there getting warm. The food came out a bit later and was fine, but nothing fantastic. They appeared to be well staffed, but by people who really wanted to get out of there. We ate among the staff shutting down the restaurant; sweeping, stacking chairs, taking salt and pepper away etc… lovely. I’ve truly never felt so unwelcome in a place. We should have gone two doors down to Urban Crust — also staffed with teenagers, but ones who are polite and mindful of a customer’s experience. We paid and were out of there by 5 minutes until 4. We kept our end of the bargain, sure wish they could have kept their end in letting us enjoy our meal.

Great breakfast as well as the best Bloody Mary’s that are their own secret recipe. Very good atmosphere and nice bar. Dinner time food & service has been spotty lately. Overall a very cool place but dinner shift needs better management.

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast. It was our first time here. I loved the atmosphere of the old building. The place was very clean and our server greeted us right away. It was fairly early on a Sunday morning so the place was almost empty. For some reason my wife and I both felt like ordering lunch items instead of breakfast. Not a bad idea. The sandwich choices were great. When they brought out my wife’s Club and my Cuban sandwiches we wondered how we would ever finish them. They were so good we got pretty close to putting the whole thing away. If you are not super hungry, splitting a sandwich would certainly work. Looking forward to a return visit to check out their other items. Thanks Unilocal, another great find!

Great brunch hidden away downtown Plano! We took advantage of the free appetizer with the Unilocal check, we took fried pickles and mushrooms And zucchini! It was a little crazy with breakfast but we managed to get it down. Only b/c it was so dang good!!! The omelet was odd that everything came out on top of the omelet rather than inside of it. The eggs Benedict was above average and I would have them again. The side of bacon was good and crispy. The kids menu is limited to about 5 breakfast and lunch items. There is an actual bar and the restaurant has TVs. We were skeptical from the exterior. It looked a little like a little sandwich deli but there is much more. Give it a try!

I found Angela’s shortly after she opened up shop. She has really made some great additions to the menu and has found her groove based on our experience yesterday. We headed over for a late breakfast and once we checked into Unilocal,it popped up a free appetizer… so that was a bonus. We ordered the Fried Pickles with a side of ranch. Those were the best Fried Pckles… and that’s no easy feat since I don’t like pickles. We’ve had them at a few Cajun places and I didn’t think they could get better… but alas, they had and they’re at Angela’s! Wife ordered the Quiche Lorraine and she liked it. I tasted it and it was very moist and had a great balance of egg and bacon flavor. I ordered the Texas Breakfast with Egg Whites, Bacon, ham and Hashbrowns with a side of gravy. Eggs were perfect, hash browns were perfect, even the gravy was a very creamy butter thick gravy. One the food came, the waitress thought I said double bacon, thus the ham was missing. She offered to correct it, but the bacon looked so good I told her never mind. She was really nice about it, so bonus for her. Bottom Line: Angela’s is a great spot for brunch. Our breakfast was served hot, timely, and was VERY tasty and done right. Service is friendly and if you like fresh pies, you’ll enjoy them here as well. We’ll be back!

I was rather underwhelmed with a recent brunch visit to Angela’s. I went with a made-to-order omelette; my dear friend the Texas Breakfast. We waited approx 25 mins for our meal. Yes, they were busy, but when your food arrives barely warm AFTER you remind your server that you are still waiting… to me that’s a strong indication of an order that was timely ready, but forgotten. The omelette was unremarkable. I also had to remind the server of my side order of a single pancake. When that finally arrived it was unappetizingly doughy and therefore left not even half eaten. We asked for our hash browns to be cooked extra crispy, they were not. This would be a slight issue, except for the fact the server responded to that request with such enthusiastic agreement that it lead to a brief discussion with us about extra crispy being the ONLY way to eat hash browns. The restaurant even has a Unilocal sticker proudly displayed in the window front, Angela’s certainly didn’t earn it recently. I’m thinking those recognitions need to be reestablished annually or issued with the year awarded.
