Yummy! What’s not to like? It’s like Subway or Chipotle only — PIZZA! Garlic butter spread — mmmmmm… fresh ingredients. Pizza fresh from the oven. The only complaint I have is that I am not there right now. Mmmmmmmmmm…

Staff were friendly and generous with the toppings. Ingredients aren’t as fresh as Blazed, but still not terrible. However, the pie crust was so thin that the edges of my pizza were burned. Overall, great pizza for a price you can’t beat.

Why didn’t I think of this? Hmmm… Create your own pizza just like chipotle. This is a brilliant idea! Oh and you can pick as much toppings as you like(insert big round eye emoji). I love their fresh ingredients. Don’t forget to order cinnamon pizza for dessert.

My 1st visit but I’ll be back for sure! I couldn’t decide on what to make so I decided to go with one of their’s. I got the Alfredo’s Alfredo and it was amazing! Think of Round Table’s gourmet veggie but MUCH much better. Really glad I tried this place.

Awful awful awful! Went here today and it was terrible will never go here again. Bad experience. First the decorations were terrible and should have walked out. Ordered a pizza and when I got it, it looked nothing like the pizza I ordered. Looked like they dropped it or all the toppings fell off in the oven. When I brought it up to the staff they played dumb then apologized. Said they would remake it, but I had to stand back in line. I told them I was on my lunch and didn’t have time. They just said ok. Ate my pizza in my car cuz I was starving. Crust tasted like cardboard and toppings had no flavor. Won’t go here again and I don’t recommend it.

Pretty cool concept. At first I was annoyed I couldn’t get a slice of pizza and bypassed this place a few times, but then I went in with my kids and ordered three pizzas that fed them for lunch and dinner for the whole family. I liked the choices, the drinks, the service was fast and friendly. The ONLY thing I wished was different was the crust is really thin so for my husband, he literally ate a whole pizza himself and then ate half of another until full and he is a lean guy with a big appetite.

This is a great way to enjoy a made to order pizza in a fast and seemingly somewhat healthy manner. They press the pre-made dough into a thin crust. You pick your sauce, cheese, and toppings. I got about four different meats and about the same number of vegetables. They don’t put that much on in terms of quantity so you can pick as many as you want. The pizza oven is really hot and gets a good crisp crust.

Crust was light and the toppings I chose were great. Salads were fresh and all in all very inexpensive. First time for me being there. I will be back… pesto sauce, mozz and ricotta, chicken, artichoke, spinach. No beer but I’m OK with that.

3.5 stars Got a GF and reg crust pizza. The reg was def better, maybe because I mixed the white and red sauce on the reg. Anyways, I really wanted to love this place but a big turn off for me is a dirt/messy food/food prep area. The window protecting the toppings etc was dirty. Also the topping and sauce area were just a mess. The pizza I created was actually good tho. Not sure at this point if I would go back. Maybe I’ll try a different location to see if it’s cleaner.

Pieology definitely is one of my favorite pizza joints. I love how you can choose from different ingredients to custom make your personal pizza. The thin crust is an extra plus! It’s super quick to get a hot off the fire oven pizza. You won’t ever want take out once you’ve tasted this.

I’m usually a fan of Pieology. $ 8 for unlimited toppings pizza. However this location was super dirty. So many tables that needed to be cleared and floor needed to be swept. Also disappointed that they no longer offer slices of tomato and only have cherry tomatoes): The pizza is still good though!

Came here around 12:30PM on 12⁄23 and I was actually expecting it to be crazy busy with all the last minute Christmas shoppers, but the line was actually not too bad. My son & I decided to go with the create-your-own for $ 8.45, which is a pretty good deal for the unlimited topping option. The pizza is actually a good size for an individual serving. I went with the 3-cheese alfredo sauce, spicy chicken, Canadian bacon, jalapeños, black olives, mushrooms, pineapple and seasoned peppers. Everything went together really well. Flavor was good & I’m not even a big pizza fan. I’ll give it 4 stars for the pizza and cleanliness. The reason why I am deducting 1 star is because the thin, tall, white guy who brought out our food was rude. He was the only one without a name tag, unfortunately. Maybe he knew that people would call him out on Unilocal if he did wear one. He was rude to everyone, actually…

It’s like Chipotle, for pizza! Build your own pizza in a couple minutes and they will cook it in their wood fire oven in a few more. I was in and out in less than ten minutes yesterday. They offer regular, whole wheat and gluten free(additional charge) crusts. I prefer whole wheat. You can request a free sauce add on after your pizza is baked. My favorite is pesto, try it! One star off because it really depends on who you get making your pie. Sometimes there’s too much blank space around the edges. Yesterday the woman making money was kinda stingy with the toppings. If I was getting one or two I would have asked for more. One pizza is enough for at least two meals for me.

I came here last week for the very first time. I’ve driven past one of their other locations but never really knew what it was. As stated by everyone else, I was told that it was the pizza version of Chipotle. This was definitely true and pizza is one of my favorite foods so I was really excited to try this place, to say the least. They get brownie points for having shorter lines than Chipotle because that is the most aggravating thing about that chain. I’m not sure if that’s because Pieology is not a fan favorite, if people aren’t familiar with this chain or because it was almost 10pm on a random weekday when we went. Either way, I’m a fan of it from my experience thus far. Our pizza maker was really kind and patient. Since it was my first time I had a lot of questions and it took me a while to order, but she was very pleasant about it and didn’t rush me. The thing I enjoyed most(aside from the food) was that you could put unlimited toppings on your pizza. Not only do you get to choose your favorites, but you can double any of the meats if you want! The price isn’t too steep considering it was enough for two meals and you can load it up with as many pizza dough decorations as you like. I like that they cook their pizzas in a stone oven and it tasted great! I was only able to eat half of my pizza so I saved the rest for lunch the following day. Day old pizza is the best! After reheating it in the microwave it still tasted amazing, possibly even better because the crust was softer and not crunchy like how stone oven pizzas are. All in all, it left me with a great first impression and I can’t wait to return! I’m having Pieology cravings as we speak ;)

Terri N. And Kai R. I love you as Unilocalers, but you are way off base on the assessment of Pieology. I tried this place again, reluctantly I might add, on Friday night. It was a zoo, so I thought that maybe this means that the quality of the product will better. I am not sure why I thought this. The only thing that it meant was that high school aged kids were slinging pizza as fast as possible with little concern for the outcome of the quality. The deck of the pizza oven was so hot that it was burning the pizza way before the top was even remotely hot. As a result I got a pizza that was cool on one side and charred on the other, not like good Neapolitan style char. I watched the girl cooking the pizza even prop up the pizza to keep it off the deck while it cooked. Add insult to injury, and more proof that they don’t really care, the pizza was cut so haphazardly that there was a slice in the middle of the pizza. What did I learn today? Will they build the pizza and let me take it home to cook?

I’ve came here twice for lunch, the first time the store seemed to have only been opened for a few months and was enjoying a nice lunch rush. The second time I came the employees were a bit out of it and messed up my friends buffalo spicy chicken order. I didn’t notice until after they had made his pizza but they completely forgot the buffalo sauce wtf. At that point I had already received my pizza as well so I didn’t really see any point in asking them to change it. I think they need to be more attentive with the food though. Pieology generally tastes the same at each branch I have been to, but I wish the employees were more attentive. I like getting the whole wheat crust with pesto sauce, many veggies, sausage and chicken. One pie is enough for 2 people. $ 8 is a great deal if you really stack up the toppings.

On a night when I was looking for something fast and relatively cheap that is not Chinese, I zeroed in on Pieology. They satisfied my requirements and I was so happy that I went there. As pointed out, they are just pizza Chipotle. There is a line from which you can choose your sauce and toppings for a customized pizza. They also have a menu if one is too lazy to create their own, which we were on our visit. From their menu, we chose Classic Margherita, Hickory BBQ Chicken, Alfredo’s Alfredo, and Rustic Veggie. All were tasty and the freshness of the ingredients is very noticeable. We also liked that the crust is on the thin side, which is not exactly a norm in our parts and was also the main reason why our party of five ordered four pizzas. For our group with three big eaters and two modest eaters, four was more than plenty. We had half a pizza left by the end of the night. The pizzas cost less than $ 8 and we were able to eat in about 10 minutes after arriving. The service was almost non-existent, but that is to be expected in a place that seems to follow fast food joints service, which is not a big problem. We were not looking to be wowed by the service, only by the quality of the food. Pieology Pizza is one of the places that are helping me get over my pizza aversion. We will sure to become regulars.

If I am correct, this particular Pieology is the first build-it-yourself pizza joint in central Contra Costa County. It is in the Crossroads Shopping Center just off of 680N. For those of you who are old enough to remember, that’s where the old dome theater used to reside. For $ 7.95 per pizza, Pieology allows customers to build their own 11.5-inch pies. The process is pretty simple: — Pick your crust(house-made, whole wheat, or gluten free) — Pick your sauce(red, 3-cheese Alfredo, herb better, olice oil, fiery buffalo, pesto, or BBQ) — Pick your cheeses and meats(five types of cheese and seven types of meat) — Pick your non-meat toppings(15 different non-meat options) If you don’t want to pressure of creating your pie(when it is your turn and there are 20 others behind you), you can choose from the menu one(or more if you are hungry) of the seven signature creation pizzas Pieology offers. A limited selection of salads and sides are also available. Once you pay for your pizza, a number is given to you and your customized pizza will be brought to your table in five minutes or so. I tried this location out this past Sunday. Got there at around 2:00pm and the place was quite busy. I ordered my pizza with red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, meatball, ham, bacon, mushroom, and green pepper. The pizza came out fast. Overall, I thought the pizza was okay at best. The crust was thin and was cooked evenly. The veggies were pretty fresh, but the meats and cheese certainly came out of bags. Since I loaded my pizza with a bunch of toppings, I found some of the ingredients were not heated though. So the lesson here is not to be greedy. Don’t load anything and everything on your pizza! To wrap up — if you want a quick lunch or dinner, this is not a bad option. However, if you are into fancier pizzas, then this may not be the place for you.

Chipotle style custom pizza place. Walk in, choose your sauce, toppings, vehgies, meats. I like how it’s thin crust and the pizza comes out literally in 5 minutes or sooner! the perks is that no matter what you choose to put on your pizza, it’s 8.00! You can even do half and half if you want to be more creative and build 2 pizzas in one!!! Not sure I understand what the rave is about only because I can make this at home… thin crust and everything. Would I come here again? Yes, if I was too lazy to have pizza night at the house or buy my own ingredients. Lmao!

Life gave us pizza, and we thought life had done good by us. And then life gives us Pieology, and it’s like we are reborn! Obviously designing your own pizza is not a new concept, but choosing from a bounty of gourmet cheeses, veggies and meats all right before your eyes to craft your own personal pizza that you receive about 5 minutes after you designed it? For $ 7.95? And it’s a delicious thin crust smoky artisan pizza? THAT is revolutionary. What’s great is how personal everyone gets with their toppings — what’s dull to one person is poetry to the next! While I find it kinda meh that some want to top their pizza with chicken and pineapple, you can do it to your heart’s content. No upcharge on toppings of any kind, and no hesitation to add more of a topping that they’ve already used. Not enough mushrooms? Just ask for more! I’ve visited twice and loved my original creation so much it absolutely had to be repeated — regular crust, marinara sauce, topped with mozzarella and ricotta cheeses, plus mushrooms, onions, basil, garlic and pepperoni. The whole thing was super tasty but what really knocks their pizza out of the park for me is offering ricotta cheese as a topping — oh those soft warm fluffy cheese pillows of delight! They also brush their crusts with olive oil before topping with marinara, which gives the crust a nice color. If I had to gripe about anything, I find their marinara particularly sweet. It may hold up better against meatier or spicier ingredients. But it has a sweetness to it beyond just the tomato, I wouldn’t be surprised if there is sugar added. But will that stop me from returning? No way. Too tasty! I can’t wait to return and design another pizza, I hope I can break out of my delicious rut and try more amazing toppings! This is a fantastic spot to grab high quality affordable eats, just like Chipotle before it. Thank you Pieology! P. S. Anybody else know that song ‘Vibeology’ by Paula Abdul? «Ya got the Pie-ology, that P-I-E-ology!» Maybe it’s just me but they certainly have their own theme song in my head. ;)
