A fantastic martial arts academy for both the novice and those who enjoy attending local and national tournaments. The instructors are incredibly experienced and knowledgable and they do a fantastic job bringing out each students individual best. The also offer family classes for those parents who are also interested in learning Taekwondo with their children. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn self defense and stay fit. We looked at several schools in the area prior to joining MACH Martial Arts and they clearly had the best to offer.

It has been 1 year and my son loves to go to Mach Martial Arts. He always come home with a big smile and tell me how much fun he had at the doju. The masters are really fantastic, beside learning Teakwondo, you can see they are using different way to teach the kids discipline, self control, and respect to others in a really fun way for kids.

Both my kids are students at Mach Martial Arts and I can’t say enough good things about the studio, the instructors and the program. Martial arts fosters respect and discipline, and Mach Martial Arts promotes these values through training, play, teamwork and athleticism. My son competes for Team Mach, and my daughter is currently training for her Black Belt. We have been a part of Mach Martial Arts family for 6+ years, and I am very pleased with the atmosphere, the camaraderie and the quality of training my kids receive there. Would recommend it to anyone who is interested in pursuing Martial Arts.

It has been about six months since both of my daughter and son learning Taekwondo from Mach Martial Atrs. They really love the training and I love what they are learning, not only Taekwondo but politeness and respecting each other.

We visited three different martial arts schools before deciding on Mach. My son says the classes are FUN — this from a boy who wasn’t very excited to try tae kwon do! The instructors are indeed dynamic and engaging. Personally, I appreciate the emphasis the instructors put on proper form. I also appreciate that the instructors take extra time to instruct, correct, and encourage new students.

My 5 year old daughter signed up for trial sessions. To be honesty, I wasn’t planning to teach her any form of martial art. But from the start during the first session, she seemed having a great time moving her body following the orders from the instructor. I could see that she was very focused trying her best not to miss any order from the instructor for the entire 30 minutes. I can totally see how this will benefit her exercise physically and mentally as well. I grew up in Korea but never received Tae-kwun-do training, the official martial art in Korea. It’s kind of irony and exciting at the same time that my daughter is about to learn Tae-kwun-do in America.

Very engaging staff. My daughter loves coming to class. Great discipline for her and we can already see a difference in her at home and she is just in the trial program. Good location and convenient for anyone in Dublin or Pleasanton. We look forward to our daughter grow her inner discipline here.

This is a really great place to learn TKD. We’d been to many places in Dublin/Pleasanton/San Ramon before we finally decided to pick the program here. My daughter’s been really enjoying the program. It’s nice, clean, and relatively big. Kids seem enjoying too. I’d recommend this place for others.

Our oldest son has been going to Mach Martial Arts in Pleasanton for 2 years now and looks forward to each class. The facility is clean and the instructors are wonderful and experts in the area of Taekwondo. Master Sungwoo and Master Chris are respected by their students and they make learning fun. Our youngest son just had his first class yesterday and is so excited to go back. In addition to Taekwondo, Master Sungwoo and Master Chris emphasize character traits like perseverance, self-control, and respect. Highly recommended.

My 12-year-old son has studied at the school for 2 months now and has really enjoyed it. Master Chris has really made a great first impression on me and my son the first time we met him in person. The facility that Master Chris and Master Sungwoo teach kids is really nice and is also not that far from our home from which my son rides his bike to the school from.

After evaluating martial arts studios in Pleasanton, I decided that Mach Martial Arts was the right fit for my son because: * The instructors are very welcoming and professional. Master Chris gave me an excellent first impression of the studio and the program over the phone, and again when my son and I met him in person. He was genuinely excited and attentive to my son’s questions, concerns and reasons for wanting to study martial arts. * According to my son(age 10), «Master Sungwoo is very nice and FUN. On my very first class he paid attention to me and helped me learn and keep up with the group.» In addition, my son and I both appreciated Master Sungwoo for taking the time to introduce my son to the class, effectively«breaking the ice». Master Sungwoo quickly alleviated my son’s nervousness and made him feel welcome and comfortable. My son was smiling during the entire class and was ready to sign up after one trial lesson. * The studio is conveniently located, has ample parking and is clean, well maintained and organized. * Recognizing I was a new parent evaluating the studio, many parents were eager to share their positive reviews of the school and program with me. Most of the families I chatted with have children who have attended the school for several years. * In addition to all the obvious benefits to learning a martial art, this studio has a great incentive program to encourage students to live the Taekwondo philosophy in other aspects of life OUTSIDE the training facility. As a parent, this is a welcome ally in my ongoing effort to encourage discipline, respect, and mental and spiritual well being in my children. In summary, when it comes to trying any new activity, I get exactly 1 try with my children. First impression for my children is EVERYTHING. I can tell that my son already envisions himself with Mach Martial Arts for a long time, which is exciting for me to see. 5-stars for a GREAT first impression.

The masters are highly qualified and so encouraging. Students build confidence, get plenty of exercise, and cultivate discipline/respect. Master Sung has been my son’s master for the past 4 years. He possesses the gift of just the right balance of discipline, teaching, humor, encouragement, enthusiasm and sensitivity. There are lots of opportunities to build confidence and agility. My student has gained stamina and agility that he has found evident when applying to other sports. As a black belt now he continues to assist in classes — demonstrating his mastery of forms and cultivating leadership skills. The environment is relaxed yet the masters do hold high expectations for each student, helping them achieve an advanced level of competence. Schedules are very flexible and missed classes are easily made up. What I love seeing is that whether you are 3 years old or 30, all the students get along and respect one another. They help each other out and cheer/motivate one another. If you are considering Taekwondo as your martial art of choice, I would highly recommend this studio. They also have schools in Fremont and San Ramon. There are sometimes promotions for free trial classes. If not, there’s a 2-wk trial class option for nominal fee and they give you a free uniform.
