I took my three year old to this facility simply because I am still in a probation period for my benefits at my new job and needed something reasonably priced because I was paying out of pocket. I was slightly hesitant because of the previous comments however I had a sick three year old on a sunday and a budget. On the bright side I had a pleasant experience, and was very impressed with the Minute Clinic. When I arrived it was pouring rain and I checked in first before hauling my son into the rain. The medical assistant was incredibly helpful and understanding, he advised me to check in and he would let me know when I could get my son(since I left him in the car with family due to the weather) I waited about 15 mins after checking in, also the check in process was simple and self explanatory. My provider was Mary Hull as well and she was awesome!!! She was very kind and sensitive to my three year old, she asked plenty of questions thoroughly inspected my son and answered all my questions. Def. would recommend and use again in the future.

If I could leave a 0 star for this minute clinic I would. First when I arrive there was NO one there no patients and the nurses assistant brought me in right away to take my information. She then sat me back in the waiting area and said the nurse practitioner will be right with me. Well 30 minutes later! This NP Mary Hull finally comes to get me. I try to explain what’s going on and she’s just looking at her computer reading the information or something? Then she’s very quiet. I explain its strep throat I have a history of getting it every 4 – 6 months. She then goes and grabs her light tool and BARELY looks into my ears, nose, and throat. I don’t no how any nurse or dr can look so quick. She didn’t even use the wooden tool to make sure my tongue wasn’t in the way. She just took a quick glance. She then wants to swab my throat. Yet I don’t know where she went to medical school but this was the first time ever someone has missed swabbing my tonsils she just poked the back of my throat. I told her umm the tonsils have white puss or mounds can you swab those? And she reluctantly barely did same thing 1 poke. Then she says I’m going to do an in house strep test which is usually not accurate. THENWHYDOIT? She said it came back negative(well of course you just said they Arnt accurate). And that I probably just have a cold or viral infection. Umm? Are you stupid. 1. I have a fever 2. I’m aching and getting headaches 3. My ears are swollen from the amount of lymphnode swelling and 4. My throat is so inflamed I can only swallow water and there’s white spots and puss on my tonsils!!! And I have a history of it! I also have a history of mono which she did not test me for even though I told her. Next normally they offer you a flu shot nope. She was more concerned about getting me out of her office so she can continue being lazy or whatever it is she was doing in the 30min it took to even get me when I was the only patient there. She is completely 1. Stupid 2. Negligent because of her my strep didn’t get treated. I should have been put on anti biotics that day! Instead nope. She rushed me out and my throat got worse and worse. It got so bad barely even water could pass through and there was so much white puss I was getting sicker and sicker from the BACTERIALSTREPINFECTION she failed to even care to diagnose. I finally went to the emergency room last night because I felt if I didn’t my tonsils would rupture or have an abcess. Thank god I did. The dr took one look and new right away what was wrong. My strep became so severe he prescribed me medicine right away but also wouldn’t let me leave without starting it right there. They got me the anti biotics there and gave me my prescriptions. If I hadn’t gone and started treatment I would probably be going into surgery to have the bacterial NOT viral infected tonsils removed which would also cause me 4 weeks of not being able to work. Even the late diagnosis has cause me to miss 2 very important jobs costing me 1000 $ in damages, not to mention the emergency room fees! If anything she and this minute clinic should be held responsible. I’ve never been treated less like a human being in my entire life. She should lose her job and have her medical license revoked because she doesn’t care, she’s negligent and obviously needs to go back to school to actually learn what the difference is between viral, bacterial, or and just what strep is in the first place! I could have lost my tonsils in an emergency or had lost the ability to breathe with how swollen they were becoming. Basically if I had listened to her only and kept thinking she was right I could have had some serious complications. Thankfully I listened to myself and went to the ER. Mary hull is a complete moron and I pray more people havnt suffered how I have or won’t in the future. She should be fired and lose her license. Worst nurse practitioner at any cvs I’ve ever met. Most people can diagnose strep right away, and the fact that you admitted your in house isn’t accurate!!! Why not prescribe the anti biotic! People can spot strep throat, tonsillitis from first glance. Why did you not care enough to listen? I have been to other minute clinics with great nurses who just because I have a history of strep, and the signs are there… they also know their in house test is crap and prescribe me the anti biotic so I don’t get worse and worse. Mary hull didn’t care she was the most air headed nurse I’ve ever met. Do yourself a favor and do not go to the cvs minute clinic unless you want to be misdiagnosed or not cared about!!! Stay away! Again they should be held responsible for my ER bills, lost wages, and they should fire the reason it was caused! But cvs has so many lawyers it’s ridiculous so at least do me this one cvs fire Mary hull and get yourself a real nurse practitioner who actually cares about patients and wants them to get better. Not potentially put them in medical danger!

The location seems to be in a bit run down neighborhood, but the Minute Clinic inside the CVS is great. I decided to go here for my sinus infection instead of waiting it out at the doctor on a Friday. There was one person waiting in front of me and I ended up waiting about 15 minutes before I could see someone. After some questions and checking my temperature and the usual stuff, I was able to get a prescription and was on my way in no time. All I had to pay for my visit was my co-pay for my PPO and the cost of the prescription. Highly recommend Minute Clinic for minor issues.
