Aconchego Bar & Grill is a distinctively Brazilian owner operated restaurant that besides having rather nice dining area also offers takeout and delivery. When I was there, it seemed like one of the owner/operators was doing just about everything from preparing the food to waiting on tables. What I really like about Aconchego is that it is sort of a homespun type of place both in atmosphere and food. In a way you almost get the feeling that you are a guest in someone’s Brazilian home. I stopped by for lunch and had their«Bife a Parmegiana,» a parmigiana steak, offered at $ 9.50 plus tax which even included a rice with black bean as well as a salad. When my order arrived I was rather taken back at the portion size which, for a mere $ 9.50, was more than generous in size. But when I tasted it, it was only the size of the portion that surprised me but the exceptionally good preparation, taste and flavors as well as the friendly, polite, down to earth home like service as well. I might add that Aconchego has a rather complete menu with appetizers, sandwiches, salads, several fish and poultry dishes along with daily specials. Plus being Brazilian, a picanha cut of grilled steak and a Saturday offering of feijoada.

This is my 2nd time here. It is a small gem that will not disappoint you. I had the tilapia with a shrimp sauce and completely enjoyed it. The prices are not real expensive considering how good it is. Rosanna and her husband are the owners and they are so sweet. GOEATTHERE!

Food like a Brazilian grandma cooked just for you. The place is run by a husband and wife: he cooks and she serves. Small place on the cozy side, they have daily specials you may need to call ahead and get them reserved if interested. Every Saturday they serve feijoada, the most traditional Brazilian dish(bean stewed with different cuts of beef and pork, served with white rice, collard greens, orange slices and farofa). They are closed on Sundays. Simple and delicious, worth a try if you never had Brazilian food and wants to start right.

One of the best places I’ve ever been to. The Picanha was amazing. This restaurant is family operated and the food is to die for.

Decided to try this restaurant after passing it a couple of times. Although the place only had a couple having some beer and one other person in the restaurant we decided to go ahead and try it since the owner was so nice. The food was nothing special i ordered tilapia with a shrimp sauce, rice, black beans, brocolli and salad. My husband had the chicken Marsala with rice, black beans, salad and mashed potatoes. We also Ordered the fried yucca. The sauce on the tilapia although it was good it was just standard hollandaise sauce with a bit of lemon and my husbands Marsala sauce didn’t have any wine or mushrooms. The salads were standard iceberg lettuce with shaved carrots from any grocery store with Italian dressing from the market. The broccoli was frozen from the package. The yucca was also Previously frozen. The beans were nicely flavored but very little beans, to watery. It looks like this restaurant is a hang out for local Brazilians to gather and have a beer. The prices were reasonable. I could not recommend this restaurant for people looking for good authentic Brazilian food.

Freshly made juice, delicious meals and very friendly service — plus a chance to watch one of your favorite soaps on the Globo TV station they may have on while you’re there. Both our meals were excellent in flavor and selection. The flan was home made and excellent. My wife(from Brazil) had the picanha with fried yuca and she just couldn’t believe how good it was. My black beans with chicken marsala was absolutely delicious. Best Brazilian restaurant in the area by far. They offer delivery, takeout and eat in dining. Highly recommended.

The food is awesome. Typical brazilian with homemade twist. I had the Picanha with fried yuca and black beans, it was delicious, usually you have to go to miami for decent brazilian, not anymore. I will definitely be back

I know the couple that owns the restaurant so decided to check out the place. The restaurant is not fancy but the food was pretty good and very reasonably priced. Most of the entrees are around $ 10 – 13 and all dishes come with rice, beans and salad. I ordered the fried calamari for appetizer and the port chop dish for entrée and ended up taking most of the food home because the portion was large. The calamari was very crispy and light. The owner is Brazilian and all the customers there seemed to be Brazilian when I went there. You can expect authentic food at this place. My uncle ordered the chicken parmegiana dish and it was pretty good. Pasta was cooked perfect. If you live in Fort Lauderdale and do not want to make a drive to Copans/Samples for a quick and cheap authentic Brazilian food, this is the place to go!
